Arriving by motorcycle, we were initially nervous about the parking because the front drive is entirely gravel, which makes slow speed manoeuvring on a heavy motorcycle, a challenging thing. As we were the only bike, the manager very kindly allowed us to park the bike on a concrete hard standing area to the rear of the property. Thank you. Fate did rather intervene though, in that my wife broke her arm in a tumble outside on the road. We returned to Killeen House where the staff immediately swung into action! Highly competent, caring and helpful in getting her to a local Hospital. The manager also allowed us to leave the bike at the Hotel for a while until I am able to fly back and collect the machine. Service above and beyond anything you will get elsewhere - and a real comfort at a tough time.

The staff were friendly the room was nice the beds comfortable found twin room spacious.

The dinner was a set menu sixty five euro for 3 courses bit pricey maybe some guests are only looking for mains. Change the orange juice for breakfast really awful. The rest of the breakfast was nice.

The drive in and location of the hotel was fantastic. The surrounding area is quite beautiful with a few seats outside to enjoy the greenery and weather. The staff were super-friendly and very accommodating. The hotel layout was simple, very tidy and quiet in general. Good amount of parking space as well.

The breakfast was bang average for the price. At €15, I would expect a lot more than I received. Same goes with all the food - too expensive. It looks like the general food price across the area (other hotels included) is obscenely expensive as well. The room felt a bit small and there were no fans or cooling. It was humid and uncomfortable during the nights.

Quaint and lovely! Outside of town, which we loved, but important to note that its about 15 -20 mins to city center. Staff were amazing. Breakfast was delish. Rooms were quiet and very comfortable. I would 100% recommend and stay here again.

Just be sure you are aware of the distance to town. If you want quiet and calm, this is the place. If you want to be close to the action, this is a little far away. But, I have to say, once we were in Killarney for dinner, it was BUSY with hen/stag parties and was quite bustling well into the evening. So, in the end, we were happy to be in a quieter location!

The staff are very friendly and accommodating. We came back mid-day after a cold and rainy hike. Even though the kitchen was closed, the staff put together a small platter of assorted cheeses, crackers, fruit and nuts. It was exactly what we needed to tide us over until dinner. The restaurant is sooo good. So much so that we ate there both nights for dinner. Top-shelf chef for sure!!

The only thing I didn’t like, and it’s almost not worth mentioning, but the door to my room took forever to close. It’s on a hydraulic arm that closes the door very slowly. Not sure of the reasoning except, maybe, no slamming doors?

This hotel offers a good experience with its cleanliness and friendly staff. Situated in a fantastic location, it provides stunning views outside and is just off the Ring of Kerry road and only a short 10-minute drive from Killarney town centre. The property is well-maintained, ensuring a pleasant stay for guests. And they have comfortable beds.

While the property boasts a picturesque setting with stunning views of an old church and the mountains, the experience within the first-floor rooms is somewhat limited due to their small windows. Despite its beautiful location, guests may find it disappointing that they cannot fully enjoy the scenery from their rooms, leading to a somewhat claustrophobic feeling.

My word, this place was exceptional! We were checked in and in our room within 2 minutes of entering the door. The room was SPARKLING clean, elegantly decorated and well appointed. Oh, and the BEDS! The beds were so comfortable and the duvets so fluffy. Every staff member we encountered was wildly pleasant, like a favorite cousin you only get to see on special occasions. The full bar downstairs is a wonderful amenity if you enjoy a cocktail or a Guinness in th evenings, and the included breakfast was a delight. You get to choose between a freshly cooked breakfast from the chef or a beautiful continental breakfast. I chose the eggs benedict and it was, HANDS DOWN, the best I have ever had. The location was perfectly peaceful, yet situated less than 10 minutes from the Killarney National Park Visitors Center. I can't say enough nice things about our stay at Killeen House Hotel. My only regret is that we didn't stay longer!

Nothing, it was fabulous

Nice location, towards the edge of the cluster of hotels around Killarney, and in easy reach of open country. The view from the hotel dining room is great, the view if you walk a few minutes up the hill is even better. Staff were friendly and attentive, room was good, and dinner in the “Rozzers” restaurant was fantastic (although worth calling ahead if you hope to eat there on your first night).

Wi-fi signal in my room was unreliable. One fairly minor irritation for an otherwise great stay.

An absolute gem, just a stones throw from Killarney town or 2 stones from Killorglin town, very homely and welcoming staff, it even has a snug bar if you fancy a nightcap before turning in to a cosy bedroom, home from home if you like home comforts. Breakfast is served in a very relaxing lounge room where a variety of Continental or home cooked breakfast is served. You'd be hard pushed to find fault. The gardens are tranquil, and an old stone Church is in view of the guest house.

We had to leave before we could experience dinning at the restaurant.
