This hotel exceeded all our expectations. The staff is wonderful and was incredibly helpful. The location is perfect to walk to restaurants, shops, and pubs. And the breakfast is truly outstanding - lots and lots of wonderful fresh fruit, fresh baked bread and pastries (including gluten free), a terrific made to order menu and great service. The room is well appointed, clean and comfortable. Would be happy to stay here again.

Our only issue was that the bathroom is dangerous since the step in and out of the tub is elevated and it is very hard to enter and exit safely, especially once the floor is damp from the shower.

Local family run classy hotel with rare elevator in great location right next to busiest stretch of town, perfect for road trip with big parking lot across the street and around the corner that are free after 6:30 pm. Breakfast selection is diverse and generous, room is clean, blankets are warm, bed is super comfortable and not sagging...they supply fancy Irish water and bathroom soap and shampoo also, would look to stay here again on future trips for sure!

It was a gorgeous sunny September day in Killarney National Park absolutely no complaints!

Hotel is located right in town. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Jason, the bartender, suggested we book a bus tour for Ring of Kerry and he arranged it for us with Wild Kerry Tours. Dave, the driver, was great and we learned a lot. Was nice to take a day off driving. Room was spacious and the breakfast was delicious!! Would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again! Thank you!

No concerns or issues. You do have to park in the car park just up the side street from the hotel, but it was only three euro for overnight parking!

Great town centre location, car park opposite and easy walking into town bars, shops and restaurants. Wonderful welcome from Kellie and lovely room facilities, top floor room which was large, bright and airy, great view and quiet. Great advice from Kellie over Ring of Kerry and other tourism ideas, bar side of property was great too and overall all the staff was welcoming. Room facilities in bathroom were great, breakfast was excellent with a great choice of fresh options, and traditional Irish of course with was fantastic! Overall we loved it, well done to the McSweeney family and staff for a fantastic experience!

Only minor gripe was no tea or coffee facilities in room so something to note if you like a morning cuppa, although there was the offer of a free tea or coffee in bar for residents.

Excellent location that is easy walking distance to everything in Killarney. Clean and quiet rooms, especially if you are not facing the front. Breakfast was varied and high quality, with very friendly wait staff.

Loading and unloading luggage can be a little challenging since the hotel is at a busy intersection, with very limited short-term parking. However, a paid parking lot is about a block away and street parking is free after 6:30pm and on Sundays.

The location was nice and convenient, the rooms were very pleasant and clean, and the street view was lovely. Bathrooms were well-appointed as well. The complimentary pots of tea were especially appreciated!

The ventilation strip in the window lets in a lot of sound, so it undermines the soundproofing a bit (especially since I happened to be there during a major car rally), and sound-muffling panels behind the beds would be helpful to drown out the mightier snores of neighbors (I was unlucky in that regard). Also, I could feel a couple of the springs in the mattress, so that was unfortunate.

I loved the location, arriving and departing on public transport was easy. I also found the room very comfortable. I did not book the breakfast package with the room but did choose breakfast on two days. The food was wonderful, and the value was great - breakfast got me through the day until dinner. The staff were very friendly, and it was a great value for Killarney.

The only thing we didn’t like was it was too warm on the third floor due to a hot spell in Killarney. A better fan would have helped a lot. But still, it wasn’t unbearable. We still would have picked this hotel.

Walkable to everywhere I needed, from the train station to restaurants and Killarney National Park. Flexible on check in when arrived early. Room was a good size and clean; a great value for what you pay for.

Wifi does disconnect intermittently for 5-10 seconds at a time before reconnecting. It's ok if you are just browsing or if not really going to be staying in room, but does get annoying if listening to music or making a call.

We loved our stay in at the McSweeney , staff was lovely, room very comfortable big bed , great breakfast, close to the pubs (lots of them to choose from ), walking distance to the park and castle.

It is a busy area with lots of pub and live music going on til late . Sleep can be difficult but after 1 pm noise settles down.
