What a beautiful view, you can see the sea and the beach from your room. Except the wonderful Location, Patrick the Owner saved our trip through Ireland. Therefore a big big Thx to him. The Airline had a big issue with our luggage and had to deliver it to one of the B&Bs we booked. They messed up and delivered to Patrick late in the evening although we had already moved to the next B&B. Patrick phoned us and so we could drive back and grab our luggage. We were so glad and thankful for his call... Except that, if you need a tip for a trip he had always one for us...

The breakfast leaves a mixed impression. On the one hand, there was fresh fruit every day (blueberries, strawberries, bananas, etc.), which is also rather untypical Irish but very tasty. On the other hand, there are croissants individually wrapped in plastic, which spoil the impression a little. Maybe they should just leave that out and not offer it. Overall, the breakfast is good and tasty but not typical Irish.

The place, people, view, food - everything was BRILLIANT. Best place I've ever stayed. My trip booked from Scotland, unforeseen events saw me visit and I will so be back! Arriving tired and before check in, the owner went out of his way to help. A room was quickly made up, he asked to carry in my bags and showed me around, even inviting me to help myself to food if hungry. After I awoke, then I really took in the place. Wow, REALLY WOW! The view blew me away. An incredible B+B overlooking the sandy bay, Atlantic ocean, Kerry mountains and perfect for all the amenities Ballyheigue has to offer. A tremendous breakfast (seriously - check out the photos posted, the food was fantastic). The only down side was, I so did not want to leave (hey, I even had the fun of playing my fiddle on the balcony with folks gathered around chatting, dancing, laughing). Goodness, I was sad when finally, it came to leave. I had arrived and met with strangers who, by the following day, I said farewell to as friends.

Not a single complaint or even a recommendation for anything that could have been tweaked. Every detail seemed to have been considered (even down to a little blue and red label by the shower so that you instantly knew the direction of hot and cold). And, by the way - what a fantastic strong shower it was. Comfort had really been thought about and, at times, you felt more like you were in a lovely home. For example, the furniture in my room - a gorgeous wooden chair there which looked hand crafted. So many small but beautiful details which contributed to make the stay so very special.

The views of the beach were magnificent, and it was truly a joy to be able to walk in the beautiful sand. I just have to mention that the shower (temp/strong water flow) was excellent! So appreciated talking with the hosts Dan and his son Patrick, who were so knowledgeable about the area and helpful with information and suggestions. For breakfast there were a lot of good selections with fresh fruit at each table, cereal, toast, and prepackaged pastries. The tea was great. What didn’t you like? The kitchen remained open for guests to make hot drinks.

We visited O'Neil's for a weekend getaway as a group of 11. No doubt, we caused a good bit of stress! But the stay was handled extremely well. We were checked into our rooms very fast and they were perfect. Spacious with our own bathrooms, and equipped with heated blankets. The owner was very outgoing and kind, and we always enjoyed having a chat with him. He was always more than happy to answer any of our questions about the area, and was quick to suggest us things to see nearby. Following the suggestions was an extremely smart decision on our part, as we ended up having a truly amazing trip. We were very impressed with the food. There was a nice choice for breakfast, including a vegetarian option. Though we all went with the full Irish, naturally. We would definitely recommend this b&b for anyone considering visiting Kerry. It has a very pleasant atmosphere, and the village is close to most things you'd want to see in Kerry. Though, a car is a necessity.

Such a fun place to stay! We were greeted by Patrick who kindly advised us on options for our evening meal. We then enjoyed walking along the beach, grabbing fish and chips at a local takeaway restaurant, and hurrying back to the B&B to enjoy our meal while watching a stunning sunset from the spacious deck. Patrick’s brother Don told us they were worried we wouldn’t make it back in time to enjoy the glorious sunset views. Don spent time with us and we were quite interested in the local history of the town. He and Patrick are local celebrities and I was touched by their devotion to their family. We enjoyed the fun and the positivity!

There was nothing we didn’t like about the property.

Amazing location overlooking the beach with views across the bay to castle Gregory. Room was comfortable and warm. The electric blanket on the bed was a nice touch. Breakfast was an amazing continental buffet with cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, toast, cheese and ham. Served with coffee/tea and hot toast. Patrick our host was great filled with local knowledge and good humour.

Nothing. It is really difficult to criticise this place. It was built by Patrick’s father and is still lovingly maintained by him & Patrick.

The view of the large crescent beach from my ocean-side room was amazing and would be regardless of the weather being rainy or sunny. The breakfast was great too. The highlight of my stay however was the fascinating conversation with the inn-keeper Patrick and meeting the multigenerational family that is connected with the B&B. (I hope the 80th birthday bash was a success, btw!)

I wish I could have stayed longer and talked more to the family AND gone to the birthday bash.

If you want a sea view, this is the place to stay. Every room overlooks the bay. Waking up to a beach view is a delight! Patrick was so accommodating. Flight problems meant we would be arriving well after midnight. He made everything as straightforward as possible for us

It ticked every box for us. If critical you might say the place needs updating but that is only if you are a fussy person!
