Location right across from iconic Croke Park, efficiency of the staff, but mostly the fantastic restaurant, The Hawthorn. Superb food, including maybe the best dish I ever tasted, my entree of Ceviche. Cleanest, tastiest food I’ve had in Ireland and UK and probably ever! Wonderfully friendly and knowledgeable wait staff. I thanked the chef when he came to our table after my entree and I could tell he’s very proud of his work. By the way, my main of two styles of lamb was also delicious. I’ll return to this hotel on my next visit to Ireland to try some of the other no doubt great dishes.

paid parking always a negative then again it was in city centre but still had its own car park so why charge €10 over night rate … not expensive but still ….

The breakfast was this amazing buffet bar with options and service. I really appreciated the room amenities and the guidance from the staff on the different activities in the area. The rooms were incredibly clean and the staff was great about getting more towels/toiletries as needed.

It's a bit of a walk to the main tourist areas so if you're visiting from abroad be prepared for a bit of walking. This wasn't horrible and I'd 100% stay here again. It was kind of nice to be in a different part of Dublin.

Room 172. 2 X ( bug) DBL beds. Very Comfy beds..essential for.me with a bad back. Big TV for a hotel !.a separate shower and bath. Iron and hair dryer..spacious room for family of 4. Lobby is big and divided into 3 separate areas so you can have privacy whilst having a drink..there's a snug in the corner with a fire too! The bar/restaurant is nice. My husband hates sitting and only likes standing or stools and this bar had plenty of those and also cozy areas for couples and people who wanted more privacy. Food good. We ate fish and chips and the burger both cooked well. Wine by the glass is 7.50. We don't smoke but I spotted an outside area.for a.smoke too. Staff..all lovely 7 mins walk from Drumcondra road.wjere there are pubs, cafes, restaurants. Also the bus 41 to the airport ( cheap) and at the same.stop for the coach bus 700 to the airport. And of course directly outside croke park stadium!

All good except you need the key card to use the lift and I don't think the mechanism in the first lift on your right works.well. everyone getting stuck in it So needs fixing. Apart.fr9m that I think it's a nice place and reasonable. And.also....we.would have preferred one of the ( big) double beds as a twin as kids just fight when in the same bed

The service and food at the Hawthorn was excellent. The beds were extremely comfortable. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. The location was close to the city center. It was super quiet. Even the stairwells were carpeted.

There was a water and ice dispenser and one bottle of still and sparkling water per day. It would be convenient to have extra bottled water available in the lobby that guests could just take when going out.

The cleanliness and comfort of the bedroom, good shower and products provided.Very pleasant staff. Very calm. The hotel staff kindly accepted to pass on a gift to a friend of ours which she picked up a few days after.

The metal towel railing beneath the bathroom sink became partly detached. I couldn't repair it so we were unable to hang the hand towel on it. On arrival at 5pm we saw a tray of dirty plates outside a guest room.It remained there for 24 hours. It was not very attractive to look at and it was strange that the staff did not remove it. Impossible to take a bus from the city centre to a stop near the hotel,I walked for almost thirty minutes in heels !!

Lovely hotel, staff were great, friendly and approachable and nothing was too much trouble. Big screens were up for fans to watch the major football matches on that weekend and although we were'nt there for that, it was easy to join in the great atmosphere.

Breakfast meats kept hot for a long time, beans would be a good addition. Some breakfast staff looked like they were run off their feet and others looked like they weren't doing much.

Hotel was beautiful loads of space in lounge and bar areas very nicely decorated spotless clean. Room was very big en suite also very big all spotless clean.

Reception staff maybe could be a bit more welcoming/informative. They were friendly and kind but for example at check in they did just exactly check you in and no more. No helpful info on breakfast or the hotel, or anything outside the hotel etc. No general chat etc.

Beautiful hotel, the rooms spacious, comfy and clean. The breakfast was delicious. The staff were super helpful. The bar’s downstairs were gorgeous with lots nice seating to chill after busy day. Enjoyed the Croke Park skyline tour which was an unexpected highlight of our trip. Only downside was location as didn’t feel safe walking back with family but lots public transport and instant Uber options to get into centre. Would definitely stay again.

Very comfortable bed and pillows. Very friendly staff at reception and in the bar. Housekeeping staff also very pleasant and friendly. Bar food was good.

Breakfast on day one was atrocious. I had bacon, tomatoes and mushrooms which were stone cold, and eggs like cold galvanised rubber. This was despite being down for breakfast at 7.20am. The only saving grace was the coffee, which was very good. The food was hot on day two as I made sure to be down at 7am.
