We couldn’t believe how much we enjoyed our stay in the Green Isle. We had intended staying further afield and changed our booking to somewhere closer last minute due to rising case numbers. We couldn’t believe how beautiful the hotel was. It was central with free parking, the check in was quick and easy and the staff professional and friendly. The room we were given was spotlessly clean. We had the pool booked but we were not rushed when we went over the hour as it was quiet so we got out in our own time and there was a lady in supervising the pool at all times which was nice to see. Due to a medical reason I cannot eat a large portion of food which I advised them of in advance of staying. Darina who served us went above and beyond and was able to order an adults dinner in a smaller portion instead of me having to order something basic off the kids menu. She came out with the most beautiful mushroom carbonara for me which I really appreciated and we were given a takeaway box also for any leftovers which my daughter was happy with as she was able to nibble her chips in bed later watching the tv. We all had a great night sleep, the place was so quiet and had breakfast the next morning with every type of breakfast available, we really dined like kings! The breakfast that I couldn’t eat I was able to bring home courtesy of a takeaway box from a male manager. We went for another swim after breakfast which was just as nice as the night before. We have told everybody about how lovely our stay was and will definitely be back. The pool is worth the stay alone!!

The decor could do with updating and the floating boards were not out the second morning in the pool which my daughter was sad about as they had been there the night before and are a great help for young swimmers. We also weren’t told in advance that the restaurant would close at 9pm and that we would have to move into the bar but luckily we finished our meal before then. They are all very small negatives though and honestly I had to try and think of the negatives because the stay was so hugely positive.

Location & lively bar

Nothing bad about the property but initially very unhelpful when trying to cancel the last day (as the booking was through booking.com - who were a disgrace). But in the end the duty manager did resolve the issue - fair play & thank you to her

Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Food was delicious from the restaurant. Bar staff were very friendly and professional. Pints of Guinness were pure cream and correct temperature (a rare thing for a hotel). Nice spacious smoking area. Bar/restaurant were spotlessly clean. Free on-site secure parking and taxi call service. Rooms spacious and spotless. Bed very comfortable.

The hotel bar closed a little early (12.15) with no facility for a residents bar. I felt for the cost of the room this should have been a facility available to guests. The fact that the swimming pool is closed now would prevent me staying if I was travelling with my kids. But these are minor things. The hotel overall was a very pleasant experience.

I feel everyone did an exceptional job given the terrible unforseem circumstance of booking.com crashing and flight cancellations with Aerlingus Airlines!. I especially want to recognise Eva and her sister working the front desk that night; despite the odds, they were both exremely professional and so helpful. It was a pleasure meeting them both. I would also like to recognize the restaurant staff and how they responded due to the onslaught of diners. They handled it professionally and the food was delicious.

The hotel is large and modern with an adjoining multistory car park. The layout is good, the staff are professional and friendly. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed. The hotel provides a good offering and in popular with family groups and weddings/conferences. The tram stop is within a mile and offers park and ride into the center of Dublin.

There is really not much to dislike. it has a lively bar, dining room and foyer atmosphere. It impedes the comfort/relaxation of time spend there, but it is what it is. The hotel ins located in alongside a main road (there was no road noise inside) and in a heavily residential/retail neighborhood. The setting are a little incongruous.

The staff went over and above to make sure our stay was the best. They made me and my family feel so good and well taken care of. Nothing was too big or too small for them to take care of. The food was devine and very reasonable. Would highly recommend this hotel. My daughter booked it as she'd stayed with you a few times in the past.

The only downfall was the noise from traffic as I wanted to keep the window open at night. I can't complain about anything else as there's nothing else to complain about

This could have been an excellent stay if it catered a little bit more for vegetarians and training the staff to inform overseas visitors where vegetarian food could be available locally. Otherwise our stay was most enjoyable and comfortable. thanks

Lack of a varied vegetarian food option and no information on local options for this

The staff were so helpful and welcoming towards myself and my baby. During dinner in the restaurant they could tell I was a little stressed settling the baby and they really helped me feel at ease and comfortable, made everything so easy.

The noise outside the room late but understand its not hotels fault.

Big comfy bed... Breakfast was delicious. Receptionist very helpful and pleasant

Tea/coffee/milk sachets in room were a bit scarce... Had to request more... Which was no problem! A jug of water would be nice for making tea... Having said that there is a vending machine in reception which supplies water/soft drinks/goodies....
