We use Hampton by Hilton fairly often and are rarely disappointed. The rooms are comfortable & clean and have all the facilities you need for a stay including tea/coffee facilities & an Iron. The breakfast although promoted as complimentary will be included in the room tariff ! The breakfast offerings are very good though, with a wide selection on offer, both hot & cold. I very much compare the Hampton by Hilton brand to a really good Premier Inn.

It's the same in any hotel nowadays, you have to ring reception to tell them to let you control the heating !! Rooms tend to be cold when you arrive and because you can't immediately control the temperature, it doesn't give a warm feeing on arrival, but that's my only negative comment.

Quick and easy checkin. Had been in the room for only 10 minutes when I received an sms from the reception asking if there was anything not as expected with my room. Very nice touch of customer care & service! I replied emidiately that I could not get the TV-remote to work. A few minutes later, one of the staff came to the room with new batteries for the remote, but she also brought a new remote, just in case it wasn't the batteries. This proved to be necessary as only the new remote got the TV to work. Very quiet room. Could not hear any disturbing noices from the corridor or adjacent rooms. I travel alot for work and stay at many different hotels, but this stay really impressed on me. Breakfast was top grade as well. Fresh, and good looking food in a well kept area. The area was kept nice and tidy with staff working the area non-stop.

Nothing! Maybe only the fact that I didn't bring my gym-bag, as the hotel had a nice gym! :)

The hotel room was very clean and up to good standards very pleased! There was also added security overnight and to get to any of the floors you needed a room key to enter the lift. The breakfast staff were excellent, all of them were working very hard on New Year's morning, very efficient and polite and kept a very busy breakfast clean and tidy. They all were exceptional and I was so impressed with their work ethic.

The breakfast only offered scrambled egg not fried or poached. The fruit salad was not ripe and didn't taste good (if you were wanting a healthy breaky). Some of the towels in the room smelt slightly stale as if they had been sat in the room for a while.

The room was spotless. Coffee/tea facilities were good. Bathroom/shower excellent. Beds were comfortable. The breakfast was amazing - the bacon was perfect, the scrambled eggs out of this world. The staff were very friendly and helpful (which is what you want when you are tired after a very long day and not thinking straight). We accidentally left behind my wife's much-loved knitted cardigan. We phoned up and after some searching they managed to find it, and they have saved it for pickup by my daughter who lives locally. We much appreciate the effort they went to.

The only drawback with the location is that you have to pay for the parking (rear carpark). But then you are in the centre of Sheffield, and you get 24 hours.

We were lucky enough to park in the on site car park, not the cheapest option but very convenient, and felt welcome right from the start. Our room was fab, spotlessly clean, designed for comfort and we got a top floor view as requested thanks to the super helpful staff, who were also happy to help with bringing up extra bedding. Breakfast was included and had everything you could want. Loved staying here! Thank you all!

How about swapping the low fat yoghurt (an ultra processed food after all!) provided as part of the breakfast buffet, for some proper non upf plain greek yoghurt, complete with friendly gut microbes - much better for all of us! Tastes miles nicer too!

Good breakfast, expecially good thick bacon, good variety locations was good for where I wanted to go. nice reception area. pleased with the left luggage.

I thought the parking was high priced. (£15). I didnt like to pay extra for room of £15 even though its refunded, eventually, but not received as yet. I thought there would have been at least a few tea bags in the room................only had 1 and no complimentary biscuits or water. I have stayed at less high profile hotels and these have always been liberally provided. especially when travelled a long way to stay at the hotel.

Great, value for money stay at this hotel. Comfortable rooms, decent gym. You definitely get good value for what you pay for. Friendly staff & hotel is situated locally. We were also able to park on site, and check in early, which were all bonuses. Loved the breakfast! Especially the waffle machines, fresh fruit options and cold options.

The only issue we had during our stay was that a number of guests key cards stopped working as well as ours. This meant when we returned to the hotel later in the evening, we couldn't access our room, and spent quite a bit of time waiting alongside other guests to receive access. I can imagine this is a one off so wouldn't discredit the staff or venue based on that at all. My other note is the whole hotel exterior was surrounded by roadworks during our stay, which made access & parking slightly more tricky.

it’s exceptionally clean everywhere very impressed and every member of staff ( bar 1 ) were extremely friendly and helpful which I haven’t come across in big chain hotels .The rooms are big and clean with everything you need .

I didn’t give low score for one incident that occurred I will email the hotel directly. other room improvement- larger signage indicating hotel parking - we used the the very tight underground parking in the overflow car park . nearly parked in the open air scruffy car park in error . The entrance needs to be made clear with way in sign also . Breakfast is chaotic spilled over into reception things not replenished . people wandering around looking for things . not enough plates bowls spoons . for jams honey - small glass pots required to put them in . would have been nice to have bowls of yogurt s fresh fruits to help yourself rather than individual supermarket pots . room 211 has a very depressing dirty view as will all that side of the hotel - big outside clean up required .

This hotel is very well located, close to the city centre and other attractions. We have stayed here before and the high standards remain. Our twin en-suite room was warm and comfortable with the usual tea-making facilities. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and checked on us via text throughout our stay. Buffet breakfast was good. We used the limited space car park which is a great help. We did have a meal one evening which was standard fare but freshly heated/made and on a cold, wet, bleak evening, satisfactory.

Location, value for money, good options at breakfast and food restocked quickly. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was a particular staff member at breakfast who went above and beyond in helping my daughter and her friend with making waffles - unfortunately I didn’t get her name but she had dark hair and tattoos on her arm. The waffle making station was busy when they went to get some so she told them she would come and get them when it was free. Not only did she do this but she offered to help the girls make their waffles so my friend and I could continue eating our own breakfast. It’s little things like this which go a long way. We were very grateful and the girls loved their waffle making experience, so thank you.

If I am being very picky - the pillows were too soft for my liking.
