All stuff was super nice and the service is good. I like most the cleanness because everyday they cleaned our room. The views from balcony were amazing. The location is amazing, you can walk nice restaurants and cafes from hotel. Rooms have smart tv. We got dinner at hotel's restaurant. Classic dinner set menu was 65 euros per person but I cannot say the food was amazing, I can say that the food was good and so enough. Minibar has so many things in it.

We did not like the pillows. I think they are uncomfortable. To a Turkish person(whose culture including vast majortiy of breakfast) the breakfast is ok but not enough, but we know that European breakfast style is that. I did not like the omelettes they smelled a bit overcooked. During the checkout, I got super important call from my dad, and reception called me 3 times (starting 11.03 a.m) in 10 minutes for the checkout. It was a bad experience for me because I was trying to handle a stressful call and the phone from reception did not stop. And lastly, in first day I asked whether they have slippers or not, the answer was "because we are 3-stars hotel, we don't have slippers" I can understand.

Italians, in my experiance, are not immune of providing the minimum where they think it is not important to have more. This is NOT the case in La Darsena. A family that run Le Darsena provided the full comfort rooms with large beds, furnished the rooms and bathrooms with quality materials, quality make, and all that is applied with an excellent style and design, you would expect in Italy. We were touched with the fact that younger sister runs the reception and pretty much everything else, that her brother runs the restaurant in the hotel, with lake view, and situated ON THE LAKE, and guests relations, and her second brother is the chef for no less than the fine dinning dinners. Her mother came to say hello to the guests with broad smile and the father was present, dressed sharp. If you want to get a room with lake view, it helps if you are in good mood and smile and there is no reason why you should not. Just emulate the young and lovely proprietress because she always smiles. Her favorite word is "perfetto" and that is just like our stay in La Darcena was..

More plugs in the rooms , only one plug ( by the table ) took the normal UK to EU adapter which made charging a bit tricky No mugs or kettles in the rooms - although apparently they may have been available on request Would be nice to have dressing gowns in the room

It is truly a great place to stay in - it has this old world charm which we truly appreciated. Amazing views from the dining room and the terrace where one can enjoy the delicious breakfast. Very close to ferry, restaurants and shops. Bus to Como S. Giovanni is across the street from hotel. The staff is super helpful. They went out of the way to find a Doctor as my daughter had lost her medication and needed a new prescription. Within 2 hours the problem was solved.

We loved the location of the property - about 100 m from a ferry terminal and close to cafes and restaurants. The hotel was situated right on Lake Como foreshore so we had views - although in a back room - over the lake. In addition the beautiful dining room had great views over the lake. We included breakfast in our reservation and had a couple of dinners. The food and service was exceptional quality. The friendly and professional staff supplied excellent service in all areas. The front desk desk staff was particularly helpful. He rang around restaurants finding a restaurant that had availability on the night we arrived (which was a Saturday) as well as offering a GF meal.

We first stayed in La Darsena for1 night in 2016 & vowed to return for longer stay. At last 2023 we returned for 2 nights & it was as lovely as we remembered. The staff & particular the owner's daughter are so friendly & welcoming. The location is stunning to have view of the lake from room balcony to eating in the beautiful restaurant. The chef is top notch, dinner menu varied & dishes cooked & served to perfection. A great choice of wine menu list added to wonderful dining experience. The room & bathroom spacious & clean, the bed very comfortable. Icing On the cake was the small balcony to sit right over the lake with a fabulous vista to look at. Thank you to all La Darsena staff for a wonderful stay.

I have been to almost 25 countries so far and this place has been literally the best place where I have ever stayed. Everything was so perfect that I feel myself more than lucky to have been able to find a place to stay here. The room, sheets, bathroom, floor and restaurant were super clean and quality (and also the bed was pretty comfy). Parking was no issue at all. You get a card from the reception and you park at a designated parking garage (2 min away by walk) for 5€/day, which is almost for free in a place like Como :) You can also swim for free right beneath the hotel for free. It doesn't get any crowded, so you can enjoy the lake in peace. Breakfast was eeeexquisite ☺️ Also staff was very nice and polite, too. I won't be thinking of any other place to stay when we plan a trip to Como for next time. Thank you very much.

I booked an attic room as they were the only ones available. I was unable le to return to my actual booking to see which type of attic room I had booked. Booking.com please note! It had no windows in the walls! The only windows were Velux in the ceiling! Room next door had a very small window so it is worth checking before booking as rooms are quite expensive The room itself was large and comfortable, bathroom was big too just no windows. We really liked this hotel apart from this.

Place is a small boutique hotel located in a great location. Rooms are very comfortable. We had three rooms two attic lake view and one with balcony. All were very good. Close to ferry docks and many restaurants around and an excellent restaurant within hotel. An excellent breakfast and very friendly staff. We had great time there and will be going back.

Hotel family owned. The hotel is a little gem in the east coast side of Lago di Como. The hotel owners, receptionist, waiters and workers are very nice and professionals. The restaurant is fantastic. The lake views from the rooms and the restaurant are breathtaking. Beds are good. Location is great.
