Villa Marie was just exceptional. I am also so glad I decided to stay in Tremezzo. The property is lake front, so you get views of the breathtaking mountains wherever you are. The entrance, pool area, bar/lounge, and breakfast sun room are just magical. Vibrant, comfortable, well equipped. The staff are just phenomenal— equally professional, accommodating, friendly, and helpful. Every corner of the interior is absolutely stunning and meticulously looked after. I stayed in a suite with a garden view and only a “partial” view of the lake (pictured), but still perfect when I opened my window because the property has wide open space on either side (entrance driveway & pool area) with nothing obstructing the view. The room was beautifully decorated and very spacious. The bed was so comfortable and the bedding used felt truly luxurious. The bathroom was spotless each day, and had everything I needed. I intend to be back to Como soon and will certainly stay here again!

Hosts and staff were welcoming, helpful, and friendly. I loved staying here, even though we had a few days of rather cold or cloudy weather. We stayed in the annex. We had a spacious comfortable room. The breakfast was very good, in the European style, with cold cuts and hard and soft cooked eggs, croissants, a different freshly baked simple cake every day, and more. There are also scrambled eggs. The restaurant is well located, at the main highway that runs along the coastline. A cluster of good restaurants is a 15 minute walk away. A ferry stop is even closer. Some really good restaurants require a car or taxi to get to. The bar in the hotel is open all day long. You can get coffee, drinks, and there is a small selection of sandwiches. One part of the main building has a rooftop loggia from which you can have a fantastic view. The loggia is also iconic for Tremezzo. If you rent a car get a small one! The road from Como is very narrow at some points.

There wasn’t much we didn’t like. It would have been nice to have CNN or other American cable news channels

Wonderful hotel with the nicest staff! The location is great and perfect parking facility. It is possible to board a boat very close by to go to all the como hotspots. At the same time the location of the hotel is not as crowded with tourists (as Bellagio for example) en it has some very nice restaurants in the area. The view from the terrace on the roof of the hotel is breathtaking!

The hotel is on quite a busy road en it takes sometime to get to places around the Como lake by car, because of the busy traffic. Obviously there’s nothing the hotel can do about that but it might be good to know.

This is a nice old villa overlooking the lake. The area is quiet, mainly residential with a couple of basic restaurants about 10 minutes walk away. The rooms of the hotel are lovely but the guest bar area wasn't very comfortable or inviting. Breakfast was basic and fine but there were no hot food options. The free parking was great and the boat pier is close by.

The bed was a little uncomfortable. The pool was not available to use as it wasn't warm enough (the website said seasonal which I would have expected would include May - it was one of the reasons I chose the hotel). Perhaps update the website to state exact dates pool is open.

The friendly welcoming hosts and the excellent service provided by them and their staff. Added to all of this the Villa itself with wonderful painted ceilings and unusual roofed roof terrace, and the thought that had gone in to making the Villa and garden an attractive place to stay.

The location and view of the lake, the whole area is lovely to walk and the ferry is just a few min walk from hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good (incl. gluten-free options upon request) - especially enjoyed the homemade cakes! The suit is very spacious with lovely view. Kudos for toiletries that included hair conditioner and a really good hairdryer (incl top for curly hair).

It is a lovely old villa with lots of detail but that also means that furniture and bathroom is a bit outdated. Not many food options in the hotel itself.

First impressions as we walked from the boat to the hotel, 10 minutes away, was how clean , tidy and beautifully presented the approach, the building and the gardens were. Once inside the same applied here, lovely staircase to the room which was spacious and a very large clean en-suite. Lovely views all round and central for so many other places to visit. The staff were welcoming and looked after us really well, the restaurant made really good, wholesome tasty meals. A really good family run caring business.

Quite close to Road but didn’t disturb our sleep.

Hotel owner and her staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful. Included breakfast is an absolute delight, especially their freshly baked croissants, both plain and apricot filled, and their homemade jams! If too tired to eat out, their evening food is absolutely delicious, they source their vegetables from a family-owned farm nearby. Facilities are clean and appropriately sized.

Queen sized bed in our annex room was actually two twin beds pushed together, so a bit uncomfortable if you like to sleep in the middle of the bed. Shower head arrangement in the annex rooms are a bit strange—easy to make a soaking mess of the bathroom if you are not careful!

It was beyond our expectation stay, this hotel is family owned and they are quite serious about their business. it really make you feel like home, service is fantastic and food is also good, we had an issue to catch up the train last day and their is a couple we stay same hotel from Portugal and saved our day. they volunteered to sent us to train station from their original plan to Switzerland. we couldn't thanks them enough and they made us this trip so unforgetable . we will never forget this experice . And hotel staff also very helpful to help us call all their taxi contact. its really recommend place !

there is some traffic noise from street however in the night its getting much better.

Hotel Villa Marie is one of the best places we've stayed in our years of travelling to different countries. Our rooms have the view of Lake Como and waking up to this view every morning was simply magical. My husband and I, together with our 2 children went to Lake Como to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. When the staff learned of this, they offered the rooftop terrace of the hotel which had a magnificent view of the lake so we could take nice photos on the day of our renewal of vows ceremony. In the morning of our renewal of vows, when the staff learned that I needed to iron my husband's suit, they let me use their laundry area for free. The staff of Hotel Villa Marie : Elizabeth and husband Andrea, Stephanie and Sarah, were all wonderful. We loved our stay so much and their generosity to us that we left a simple gift of Swiss chocolates to them to let them know how much we appreciate them.
