I stayed for 14 days in November and the Hotel made these two weeks absolutely unforgettable! Not only was the room FAR better than what I expected (with a stunning view towards the cathedral), the staff was extremely helpful and kind, the breakfast was as good as any and the location - best one in the whole town! If you are planning a long vacation in FLorence I cannot recommend Bigallo enough!

Hmmm, I can't think of anything for me personally. I love sleeping in a lighter, noisier room so I was actually quite lucky. But if you are person who can't sleep if there is too much noise, light or hate hearing the bells of the Giotto tower every half hour starting at 7:00 (which made me super happy and excited about the day) I would recommend asking for a quiter room.

The location was fabulous. At first glance from outside, it was a bit worrisome, but rest assured it is lovely inside. Its old-world charm and breathtaking views make this hotel well worth it.. i would definitely recommend this hotel. From the moment you walk in you and greeted with friendly staff. Room #1404 has amazing views of Duomo. Also if you need a cab the staff shall ring one up and it takes under 5 minutes... Outstanding experience.

They do charge for coffee or tea outside of breakfast. Americans are used to that being complimentary. other than this, everything was fabulous...

Exceptional location, staff were excellent and the continental breakfast which was included in the price was great to start the day off. The reception is on the third floor but there was an elevator so that was not an issue. Our tickets to the Statue of David were after the checkout time but the staff offered to look after our luggage until we were finished which was a big deal for us and greatly appreciated.

Power to the room is only activated once the key is inserted on a panel inside the room and this controls the lighting. This meant that the air conditioner could only be used if the lights to the room were on at night.

The location was absolutely perfect, if you’re OK with the Duomo bells ringing on the hour this is the perfect place for you. I am in love with Florence and the Duomo so I enjoyed waking up to the church bells every morning.

The only thing I didn’t like is that the air conditioning was making a lot of noise it’s old hotel, so I understand and the sheets cover was not that clean, but it didn’t bother me that much.

We had an incredible view from the window! The location of the hotel couldn't have been better in terms of convenience to all of the main Florence attractions. We had a very large room with a spacious bathroom. A very pleasant surprise!

We arrived at night and it was a little confusing at first as to where the lobby is located. We had to climb some stairs. Maybe some signage would be helpful.

I was concerned that the place would smell a bit musty and set off my allergies, but the place seemed very well-kept! Irene was amazing! She answered all my questions promptly, and was even able to give us a room upgrade!

I'd highly recommend bringing earplugs and a sleep mask if you're noise and light sensitive. Otherwise, the overall experience was amazing and worth it!

The staff are friendly and helpful.

The shower door came off in the room 1305. After it is fixed, it has to slowly slide it and use another hand to press it firmly on the other end to balance it from slipping off the track. We are worried when it comes down and hit our feet then we will have a big problem. So suggest the owner clamp the door securely on the track without slipping off.

Probably the most instagrammable view from the room. Perfect air conditioning. Good bed. Big bathroom with good water pressure. Good soundproof. Location, like what can I say, location and view from the room are so amazing, that we didnt want to seat at the restaurants under the Duomo and take food and wine to the room because we had better view :) Free in-room safe.

Unfortunately the breakfast is really poor and there is no enough space for all who takes breakfast. Price is high but it costs every cent :)

Great value with breakfast. Great location. Front desk staff were very helpful with arranging dinner reservations and ground transport.

My husband left his AirPods on the room when we checked out and we could see by the location of them later that day that cleaning staff had apparently taken them home (13 miles away). It was a struggle but we ultimately got them returned.

The location of the hotel is very central as well as within walking distance to the rail station. The room was very nice with a comfortable bed and large bright renovated bathroom. The breakfast was excellent with very good coffee. The hotel staff were incredible. I would definitely return and recommend this hotel.
