Hotel Centro

Excellent location far enough from the cathedral square to not be overwhelmed with people but close enough for a convenient walk (4 blocks, with a lot of shops, restaurants, and a couple sites in between). A little loud as night, but the shutters keep out the noise. It's a typical narrow, busy street. Try Pizzeria Ginori a block down - GREAT pizza. Staff was friendly. Rooms were a decent size. The radiator was on in the bathroom (very rare in Italian hotels in September/October) so I could wash and dry my clothes. You have to walk up 2 flights to the hotel, but once inside there's an elevator to the second story.

Beds were quite firm. Water pressure could've been better.

The staff is very helpful and friendly. Location was near everything by walking distance. The room was big and clean

For a family with a baby, it was difficult. have an elevator for each level. we had to take them both every time, and sometimes, we don't return to the hotel for a break because of how difficult it is. It is not for family with small kids with strollers

The location is outstanding, so close to the duomo etc. and the railway station. I was expecting shared facilities, but there actually was a shower in my room, so only the toilet was shared. I booked last minute (moving from a hostel) and got a discounted rate, which certainly helped.

Nothing really! The four keys between the street and my room were a bit laborious, but it also made it feel very secure.

Location is excellent, very close from the city center on a quiet street. You can leave or enter at any time of day, the zone is very safe and you are provided with your own set of keys for the lobby.

Breakfast is available for extra cost, it is provided by machines. Not the best option to drink a machine cappuccino when you can buy "the real thing" across the street. Maybe ok if you need to leave before shops are open.

Location was amazing, 5-10 minutes walk from the train station and 5 mins to the cathedral/duomo, 15 minutes to the river. The room was modern and had pretty much everything we needed.

Some repairs required (eg skirting board hanging off the wall) floors were dusty. No mirror in the main room only mirror is in the bathroom. Access requires stairs (fine for us but might not be for everyone)

Eveerything. Location was 11/10 Room was clean, big enough with all facilities needed. Bathroom was great, clean and vetter than most 3+ ☆ hotels I have been in. They welcome you with great hospitality, and even though the check in time was at 12:00pm, they had made the room ready at 9am when we went to leave bags. I never understood why it was a 2☆ hotel. Everything was perfect.

Location is excellent !! very very close to Florence Duomo and one block away from La Galleria dell’accademia di Firenze (where is the famous Michelangelo sculpture "David"). There is a supermarket next door to hotel main entrance. You can find there everything you might need for your stay. Staff was very friendly, and made arrangements for taxi pickup, to go to the airport.

Location is perfect! 5 min walk from everything, and a carrefour just next to it is a nice plus. The staff were super kind and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable.

There wasn’t a proper luggage room, so when we needed to leave our luggages after check out ad before leaving the city, they just kept them in the lounge area.

Place is really clean and the owner is as friendly as it gets. He came in late for our check in and was smiling, even though it was late. The AC works really well, which is a great help in summer. Location is perfect. Walking distance from all the good stuff of this beautiful city.

The lift is really small, so if you have any disability or something, chose somewhere else. But it's only "bad" point of that.

Hotel is very modern and updated! Host is excellent and rooms were super clean. The only issue we had was the noise from the streets is very loud at night. The a/c didn't really work as we tried to turn it on to drown out some noise - room wasn't hot just noisy. Maybe add an optional white noise machine in the room?

Pillows super hard - like most of the rooms we stayed in in Italy... lol!
