Wonderfully kind, friendly and helpful owners/hosts. Perfect location, easy to walk to all the main tourist sites (15 minutes to Duomo) while still in a quiet area away from the crowds. We stayed in a large double room with a large, comfortable double bed, a lovely quaint balcony, and a well equipped ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower. Our room and throughout the hotel was very clean. Good free wi-fi. Efficient air-conditioning. Breakfast was excellent with a great range of typical continental breakfast choices. We will definitely return!

A mini fridge in our room would have been welcome. Nevertheless, the hosts were kind enough to keep our bottle of cold water and carton of milk in the breakfast area fridge for us.

The breakfast was filling. There was yogurt with multiple flavors, croissants (chocolate and apricot filling), hard-boiled eggs, fruit (watermelon, canteloupe), cereal, bread plus toaster, muffins, some kind of pie and tart, ham/cheese/salami, and the espresso machine. The machine also had hot water for tea and hot chocolate. The croissants were so tasty and ham/cheese/salami on toast made for a nice breakfast. The staff were friendly and kind. They showed us how to use the espresso machine and filled up the food at breakfast even at 9am (breakfast is 7:30-9:30am). I was worried about not having enough food for a late breakfast but that was not a concern at all. The room has air conditioning that works well. The mini-fridge in the room also worked. I didn't leave my luggage at the hotel because the staff were going off on a holiday. However, they said that they usually let people leave their bags after checking out. I found a store my luggage locker site near the train station and was able to tightly fit three carry-on suitcases and a bag into a locker for 4 hours at 11 euros. Daily rate is about 18 euros.

There were a lot of stairs in the room since it was an old building. There were stairs to go up to the room. Stairs to go into the bathroom. Fortunately, Roberto was super nice and helped us carry our heavy luggage up the stairs and to the room.

The hospitality at this hotel was really wonderful. It is obvious that the proprietors care very much about the quality of experience for their guests, and it shows in details from the cleanliness of the room to the warm greetings when you come in. The location of this hotel is really great -- a quick walk to the center of Florence and the Duomo and also far enough to get away from the throngs of tourists. The pictures on the site are quite accurate, but didn't quite reflect how nice our bathroom was. It looked recently redone and felt new and fresh. Our ceilings were really high which made our room feel extra spacious. The breakfast was solid and had everything I would expect from a hotel breakfast. Something for everyone, and if something was running low, it was refreshed quickly. The chocolate cornettos (croissants) here were my kid's favorites of all the places we stayed.

Everything was great. No complaints at all.

The owners are so helpful. The hotel is on the second floor but she met us at the ground floor and helped us get our luggage upstairs via the lift. They offered us water asap as it was hot and we had walked from the train station. Check in was easy. The wife showed us all the important sites on the map and gave us it. They had a good breakfast with a variety of items. They got us a cab to the train station when we left. Very friendly people with good English skills.

It was a bit confusing with all the construction around the train station to figure out how to get to the hotel which is why we took a cab back to the train station when we left. That isn't the hotels fault though.

Hotel is wonderfully located for all Florence’s historical attractions, shops and restaurants. No more than 10-20 mins away on foot. We travelled in by train, also a very short distance away. We were wonderfully greeted by the family who couldn’t have done more to make us feel fantastically welcome and guide us to everything Florence has to offer. Breakfast is a real treat, tasty and plentiful with something for everyone. Our room was spacious, well air conditioned with a lovely Juliet balcony to the street.

Nothing, we had a perfect stay, with perfect hosts.

My stay at Hotel Giglio was very pleasant. At the very beginning staff helped me with locating best turist attratctions. Rooms were using keycards. WIFI worked well. Hotel location was fantastic, you could reach Duomo in about 20 minutes on foot. View from window on building's courtyard was fine, it was clean and bright.

I didn't notice building has an elevator. When staff informed me about it, the elevator didn't look trustworthy. Floors were a little cold. Bed in single-bed room was quite narrow for my taste. Pillows could be a softer.

The location is pretty convenient, is nearby everything( including train station and the academia) and not crowded Place is fully automated once you get your key Breakfast is pretty great, I asked for an early breakfast one day and they let us in early to grab something before our tour The place is great, clean, but the biggest asset the place has is the staff, they are wonderful, they make you feel like you are at home or visit lifelong friends; the first thing they did was show us a map of the city explaining what was close, what are the best places on the city, costs, etc

The hosts, Marco and Manuela, were so friendly and helpful. As a solo female traveller, I felt very safe and comfortable. The hotel itself is on the 1st floor of a traditional building with huge old entrance door, impressive staircase and high ceilings, and large windows with traditional wooden shutters. My room faced out to a quiet side street. It has a bright breakfast area and comfortable seating area and is very clean and well maintained.

Only that the new Florence tramway is being built nearby, so there was some noise from the construction work. This is beyond the control of the hotel itself - and will be a great asset when it is all finished.

Greeted by staff upon check in who also helped us with our luggage. Both of them were very nice and friendly. There is a wide variety of included breakfast each morning. Rooms were clean and spacious for the three of us. Aircon worked well. They showed us recommendations of places to see in Florence and the hotel was around a 20 mins walk from the main area in the city.

No fridge in room

Very cozy and the staff were so friendly! Breakfast was good and the rooms were clean & comfortable. Location was very close to the center but not in the middle of the action. I truly do recommend staying here and thought it was super cute and quaint!

Not a fault of the hotel at all, but since the hotel is in a quieter area, there weren't a lot of people out around the hotel at night. There was also significant construction on the street, so all in all walking back at night felt a little weird. As a solo female traveller, just something to note. I didn't have any bad experiences and the area felt safe, but to anyone that is super cautious about coming back at night, something to be aware of.
