Location fantastic, breakfast fabulous, the caretaker is hardworking and the rooms are vintage with tall windows, the feel is very vintage, there is a cute small balcony where i had wine. The breakfast is nice, the B&B is closest to the David n walkable from both the main Piazza del Duomo, Piazza della Signoria. A small bus C1 can take u to the other side of the Arno river from the San marco square just 2 mins from the B&b.. Try the atomic falafel on the same road, it's yummy.
I wish the rates were a little low , rest everything perfect, i think it's a norm in Italy to have smaller shower cubicles which we are not used to but as i had an even smaller cubicle in my Napoli B&B, i suppose that's a general feature .

This is a good inexpensive place, two long blocks up from edge of the historic center of town, which I would place at Piazza San Marco, a very nice walk. Walk another two blocks, and there you are at Palazzo Medici, the eventual seat of power. (Even now: I was walking up via Cavour decades ago on the way back to this hotel, the sky darkened above, I looked up, and two low helicopters with soldiers hanging onto ropes ready to spring down were blocking the daylight. A limousine sped over to Palazzo Medici, and out stepped Helmut Kohl.) There is an elevator, though you have to hold the button down somewhat tediously all the time you are calling or riding it. The lady in charge is a delightful person, and the room was big enough and well kept. You have to be patient for the hot water, but it comes. If you need to buy things —not souvenirs or treasures— you can walk two blocks the other direction to Piazza Libertà, where ordinary Italians shop at normal prices. A great find!

Great location, not far from Medici Castle and Academia. The place is on the 2. floor, a nice small private B&B with an intercontinental breakfast with warm welcome. The bathroom with tiled, walls were with frescoes decorated. The lady in the place was very kind and helpful.
The room was small the bed was short, and has a thin shower cabin, not enough space for one, The room had a garden view, and no sun coming inside, usually quiet, but on the street did some reparation, so during the day it was very noisy.

Helpful staff, good breakfast, air conditioned room, comfortable bed, clean, close to top attractions
Would have been good to have a fridge in the room. Parking is a headache. This is not a criticism of the property. The host actually provided valuable information so that we plan properly. The property is in the traffic zone and you get fined if you enter it. We were lucky that we arrived on Sunday, when the rule doesn’t apply, so we could drop off our luggage and drive to the parking recommended by the property (10 min walk). After check out, we had to walk to the parking with our luggage. Just a heads up for the folks with car.

A small hotel that occupies an entire floor in an old town building and is a ten minute walk from most of Florence's attractions. Wonderful and friendly staff, Mina especially helped us, who from the first minutes of our acquaintance offered us a map of the city, where she drew the main attractions. And although we had already been to Florence, this concern of Mina really touched me. By the way, mine suggested parking for 15 euros per day, which was very useful.
Currently, the streets near the hotel are undergoing renovations related to the launch of the tram service, but this is Italy, where something is always being built and repaired. The hotel itself was very quiet

I had a very pleasant stay at Relais Dante e Beatrice, much due to the incredible helpful and caring staff. It was critical for me to have strong WiFi to work, and the staff even offered me her office for my meetings to make sure I had good connection. The staff still provided me breakfast/ food after the normal opening hours, and she let me leave my luggage safe in the hotel over the weekend when I was staying in another city. I needed flexibility on this trip due to change of plans, and the staff accommodated this perfectly as she extended my stay on a day-to-day basis. At Relais Dante e Beatrice I felt at home and taken care of.

Straight pleasant 7 or 8 min walk to the Duomo/ city center. The area was quiet but not far from great restaurants and we felt very safe. The road was closed in front of the hotel while we were there so I'm not sure how busy the road will be after the construction is completed. Nice european breakfast. I really have nothing that I could say negative about staying at Relais Dante e Beatrice we really liked it, the air conditioning was nice, I would mention for American travelers that aren't used to Italian small showers our room did have a small shower but I'm not sure if all the rooms did.

Hostess was very helpful and pleasant. The room was pretty good, clean and spacious and the windows isolate the sound very well. Breakfast was also very nice. The location is perfect, you can walk almost everywhere in Florence from there. There is a lift for luggage (but it is painfully slow for people).
Our room had four beds, two had very good mattresses and two were subpar and you could feel the springs. There is no fridge on the room. The wifi strength is horrible, probably due to the very thick walls of older buildings, I couldn't even connect from the outermost bed. There aren't many sockets so a split is needed to charge many devices at once.

This is my fifth hotel in north-central Italy in three weeks —Pisa, Orvieto, Pisa (different hotel), Siena, Florence, all in the same low price range— but this one, in the most expensive city, is far and away the best. The mattress is better than mine at home. The place is clean and well run. It is located two longish blocks up from San Marco, the beginning of the historic center and itself of great importance. (Savonarola was its notorious official preacher, and each of the monastic cells has a fresco in it by Fra Angelico giving an extraordinary “insider’s” look, a great Renaissance friar-painter’s painting for his committed Christian Dominican brothers.) There are no bars or restaurants on the block, and the street, via Cavour, is a broad one, actually called “via larga” by old-timers. It is not one of the famous old narrow streets in the very center, chiasso, which gave Italian its standard word for “making a racket.” Street noise is at a minimum, though you hear the passing garbage truck or street-washer. As you walk down the two blocks, look to your right whether the small Chiostro della Scalzo is open (Cloister of the Holy Barefoot One); it has quirky hours, but its small space is wonderfully decorated with biblical frescos by the excellent 16th-century Andrea del Sarto. The hot water is fine, and the heat in the room in December, excellent. I didn’t watch TV.
It has the blessing of an elevator, but it is a small freight one. You have to hold your finger down on the button the whole time calling it and the whole time riding it. There is another advantage to being two blocks out of the very center in that you are two blocks closer to Piazza Liberta’, where ordinary Florentines shop, not for tourist or boutique items, but practical things you might find you might need at a practical price. I’ll be coming back here.

This is an excellent hotel. Right from the moment you ring the bell and enter the ground floor lobby you get the feeling that this is a lovely place to stay. Signora Mina is a lovely host and presented super clean bedrooms with excellent linen, plenty of room and we had the addition of a comfy sofa in ours. The breakfast contained all the continental options that you could wish for and was great value for money. You cannot fault the location as the road leads directly to the corner of the Duomo and is an easy walk from the tram stop. We had a truly wonderful stay in Florence.
Nothing.
