Amazing location, staff were wonderful and hotel amenities & inclusions (free afternoon tea) were great. Would recommend basing yourself here while staying in Florence and doing all the touristy activities.

A few mosquitoes got into the room each day/night - I think they came in from the centralised heating/cooling vent (as one disappeared into the vent when I was chasing it around the room with a flip flop). Another guest on our level (level 1) mentioned that they were having an issue with mosquitoes too and had got the staff to spray the room.

this hotel is amazing from the beginning till the end . needless to say, location is near the florence cathedral and station at the same time so transportation is not an issue. everything in our stay was perfect, starting with Mr. allesandro's amazing welcome and helpful cheerful attitude at the reception when checking in and out, through the lovely decor, the fine touches and the sweet wooden-like room-card which i found unique. room, though small in size, was smartly arranged and furnished so everything felt right in place without crowdedness. lots of mirrors and electricity plugs, and a very nice bathroom with water and good lighting. breakfast was delicious and staff at breakfast especially the senior grey haired one were very professional . I saw a situation where he handled a lady with a clear abnormal mental issue, not with aggression or awkardness, but rather calmness and love. so thank him for that.

AC control unit is a bit tricky, we had trouble with it, it was originally put at a freezing degree (litterally i shivered and my teeth clinched in mid September!! ) then it got so hot. there is no clear info (i.e. digital or manual) to what the degree is set to.

Love, love, love the bedding. One of the most comfortable in the world. Second time staying here & forgot how great it feels after a long day of walking. Spacious rooms with beautiful city views (for me San Lorenzo duomo and the mountains). Walk outside the hotel and keep straight & you end up at the river. Amazing location!

Foul sewage odor in the lobby, almost as if there was a backup someplace. A little off-putting, but I recognize it’s an old city and things happen. Upper floors and suites didn’t have the odor, so I survived just fine :)

The reception staff doesn’t correspond the hotel level. The front door opens only with the key which you don’t have yet as you just arrive, so be ready to push the door carrying your luggage as nobody gonna help you. The reception seemed not to be aware that you’ve already paid in full, you have to prove it. The next day reception staff would in rude way ask what are you doing here when you go for five o’clock tee, when you in advance opens the hotel front door with your key room.

Outstanding location and super clean. Breakfast was fantastic and we wanted for nothing. the staff are very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. amazing hotel in Florence.

just be aware that the hotel is in 2 parts. a rear type annex that was maybe an old hotel attached to what is the old Sofitel at the front. the front section has the staircase and is much better.

Our whole stay was amazing! The room was perfectly clean and very comfortable! The location is awesome - we came in by foot from the train station Santa Maria Novella and every landmark is not more than 10 mins by foot - definitely recommend this hotel for browsing Florence! The staff were amazing and they were very helpful with every request we had! Special thanks to Sara, Alessandro and Valentina for their help and discreet manner in my requests around a marriage proposal! We will definitely visit again!

Everything was perfect!

in the apartment that I was in, it was deluxe and we were pampered a lot, but there was only few lil things that there was no window in the room to ventilate, they were inside in closed rooms. therefore, when choosing a room, always check for a window if this is a problem for you. There was also a coffee machine which we did not use because it was all dusty, it had not been used for a long time. there were empty shampoo and conditioner bottles, which was very strange for a 4-star hotel, maybe they forgot to refill them

The staff were amazing. Souleymane was amazing in the mornings, to see his smile brightens up your day, he was very welcoming and attentive to your needs. The breakfast is amazing great choices all the time. The hotel is in a great location close to the train station and the museum. The rooms are tidy and great décor.

The only thing was the size of the rooms are not the same size even though you have paid the same price. One room was a lot smaller then the other. But not the worst issue, it was amazing.

The hotel was completely new and super modern. My experience with the room was amazing, very comfortable, modern and huge room! Exceed my expectation. Great location, amazing breakfast and restaurant. But the most important part was their service! on of the best service in the city from the doorman, reception and concierge .. no word to qualify their attention. They supported me and my family with everything, from check in until to the car leaving. In summary best service and attention ever. Special thanks for Stefania, Valentina and Daniel they support me and made my stay comfortable

Very nice hotel, was the highlight of our short trip in Florence. Perfect location, we came back to the hotel to have short break and shower even a nap when we came down from the dome and tower! Sarah at the reception was absolutely helpful, speaking fluent English. They have everything you need for a comfortable stay, even have slippers which is rare in Europe. Everyday 5pm to 7pm, they provide complementary tea/coffee/snacks. Overall, 5 star experience, worth the price, we will definitely come back to stay again!
