The hotel itself was beautiful and very modern. The amenities like the gym and spa top notch!

What I didn’t like was that for all that you see when it comes to the esthetics of the hotel the rooms do not match at all! I was appalled at how they are allowing the rooms to deteriorate! the furniture is peeling, the bathrooms are not properly cleaned and scrubbed efficiently. For that so called level of luxury, not to mention the price per night they have to do better when it comes to the care of the rooms themselves. would I go back? for sure, but only to dine in the restaurants not as a hotel guest until they updated and get those rooms properly cleaned…….and throw out the peeling furniture and replace it!!!!

we have been in Milan plenty of times and that was certainly the best hotel we have stayed at in Milan even though the rooms are a bit old and the furniture all over the hotel need some renovations . the gym has plenty of aerobic equipment yet if you are planning to do upper/ lower body weighted workout there is not enough equipment. the spa facilities and pool are excellent. the food in the bar and lobby restaurant was overpriced and was not good in our opinion yet the cocktails were great .

we thought that the leather furniture all over the hotel seemed old and not maintained properly. the food at the restaurant was not good and overpriced .

The property is stunning and the decor and interior areas are beautiful and clean. The staff are all happy and helpful. The location is directly next to central station so you can get around to lots of places. we visited Lane Como which was 30 mins. The rooftop restaurant was amazing with lovely staff.

The only downside for me was the spa area closing at 7pm. We were told at 6.45 that we are closing now, whilst in the steam room. after being out walking, shopping all day it’s nice to go in the spa before dinner but it was cut short. A little to early.

I loved the design of the building and the spectacular outlook over the historic buildings and plaza. The in room dining was exquisite and each meal was prepared with authenticity and skill. The central location facilitates travel by public transport, uber or taxi while being central enough to historic places like Sforza Castle.

The electronics in the room controlling the lighting did not function correctly and the rooms were badly damaged

Our rooms and bathrooms were spacious, updated, and exceptionally clean. The amenities provided inside of the rooms from multiple bottles of water, welcome bottles of champagne, snacks, toiletries, writing paper, books, magazines, robes... the list could go on and on. We lacked and longed for absolutely nothing because it was all forethought out by Excelsior. If taking the train, the location could not be beat. Many hotel reviews noted that noise was a big deterrent however Excelsior's windows were sealed bringing the silence and tranquility of a peaceful space to us. All of my requests were met to include staying on the highest floor available with our rooms close to each other. This hotel actually reads your requests and then accommodates them.

I wouldn't say there was anything at this hotel that we did not like. It was elegant and sophisticated and the staff (all of them from the front desk to concierge to the waitstaff to housekeeper) were all professional. If I had to nit-pick anything, I could say that there might have been a waitstaff who waited on us in the restaurant who didn't dote on us when we ordered drinks like the rest of the staff did at this hotel. I suppose we could say that he was "average". We would have ordered more drinks but he came and never returned so that ended our evening libations on the magnificent outdoor deck in the bar on the top floor. But now I'm getting very finicky as we genuinely had zero complaints. If anything it has inspired us to stay at Excelsiors around the globe!

We have been traveling for over a month and have stayed in may hotels. The bathroom in this hotel was the best by far. Great lighting, a magnified mirror, good bench space and an overall spacious room.

The bedroom was just big enough, but with the addition of a second chair and small table, it was very tight on one side to get around. Also, it was very difficult to find the bar and restaurant on the 7th floor and same with the gym and pool. There needs to be more information provided at check-in.

The concierges, Alessandro and Mauricio, we’re above and beyond wonderful in their assisting me with a difficult problem I encountered when my flight was cancelled. They truly need to be recognized for their sincere efforts and treated it as if it were their own problem. And all the staff were also excellent!

The room lighting was difficult to get what I needed and annoying in some spots.

Everything was top class .
