The suite was more spacious than we expected and the facilities were clean and in good condition given the age of the property. The area is very nice, up-market less tourist feel. Nice restaurants close by. Roughly a 2km walk into the city which was a challenge with a toddler/stroller, We got loads of exercise in! We visited the zoo, and found a playground in the park opposite which was great. We wanted a hotel with a pool, and for that need we know this property was the right choice. The buffet breakfast was a good spread and yummy. We enjoyed our stay.

It is little too long walk to city center. And the ability too get taxi is too poor.

the breakfast was nice but it would have been nice to ask for some scrambled egg (unseasoned) for our baby. The staff at breakfast was very miserable, we didn’t feel comfortable around him.

The location was very good.

The rooms are extremely dated, although spotlessly clean and spacious. The bed is a standard double and the pillows are very hard.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here. The swimming pool was a highlight and definitely needed with the Rome heat in July. Our room was large and had good air conditioning. It was a very clean hotel with good, daily housekeeping. We received good service in general. Great value for money. Would definitely stay here again.

Only minor areas (these were not significant enough to impact our enjoyable stay): Breakfast was fine but basic. We have had better elsewhere. Location was okay. We knew we were staying slightly out of the city centre when we booked it. It is where it says it is! We typically like to be more central, however, we wanted a pool so were happy to be further out on this occasion. It's approx. 20 mins walk to the Spanish Steps so not bad. Would still stay here again for the pool! Probably ready for a refurb. Some areas starting to look a bit used and dated for a 4-star hotel.

Friendly and helpful staff. Great location for tourists, quiet but central and next to a lovely park.

The pool area was closed for reparations, which would have been nice to know as we travelled with a kid who was looking forward to it.

Great stop on a roadtrip to give the kids a chance to rest and repack the bags. Room was huge and lots of space for them to run around / play. Decently comfortable beds, decent bathroom, nice kitchen that had a big fridge for that very important afternoon Franciacorta. Pool really nice as well as we could use it to freshen up after breakfast before going on to Naples. It is a solid 4-star, the place does need a little bit of love / a face lift but for what you are paying for it, its a bargain and definitely worth considering! Average breakfast, great location, nice to have private parking (book!) and staff very helpful / useful...

Nice breakfast, and service. Very clean and organized. Pool is a gem, especially in ROME Next to Art Museum Across from Borghese gardens and Zoo, easy stroll to Pincio and Via Veneto, and Piazza Del Popolo Nice dining 5 minutes away. Tram stop across the street will take you to ancient Rome in 20 minutes and drop you at the Coliseum!

Lovely area, quiet, relaxing and good to be out of the main hustle and bustle of Rome. Staff are friendly and obliging, nothing is too much trouble. Would definitely stay again.

My first room wasn’t great, on the lower level and had a skinny spiral staircase up to bedroom and bathroom. I couldn’t get my luggage up there, I was very disappointed. I had booked more than 6 months in advance for 11 nights. However, on day 2 I spoke to the manager and they moved me the following day to a single level room which was much better.

This is an old-style, elegant hotel. A friend and I stayed in the Residence and the suite was beautiful, overlooking the Zoo, which was really interesting. You could see the peacock and other birds and the zookeepers. Even with the sofa in the sitting area converted into a single bed, there was plenty of room to enjoy sitting at the table, properly covered with a tablecloth and cloth napkins to have takeout pizza and wine. Wifi worked well. Breakfast was delicious, and plentiful. The best, however, were the staff at the front desk and serving breakfast. They were so helpful and willing to go out of their way to try to meet our every need. I needed help to make a phone call to a small town just outside of Rome and they called from reception and connected me. Wonderful people!

The location is great, in a beautiful, relatively quiet, neighborhood but it is a bit of a challenge to get around-- you have to wait for a tram to get to the Metro or to Piazza del Populo or take a cab. It would have been helpful to have somewhere on the property or close by to eat lunch or dinner, though there are excellent restaurants about a 10-min walk away. They served the same menu for breakfast both days we were there. The room was really warm, and even when we turned off the heating units, the central air remained on and we had to leave the windows open, which meant it was noisy and there were a few bugs that made their way in the room... The building is clean but a little old. Other than that, a great place to spend the weekend.
