This small boutique hotel is perhaps the best place to stay in Syracuse, as it is within walking distance between Ortigia and Neapolis Archaeological Park. Spotlessly clean large room and possibly the most comfortable mattress we have ever slept on. We have a welcome drink on the roof terrace with a nice view of the surroundings and the park. Very useful stuff.

It was hard to find a parking place close to the hotel so we parked at a paid parking.

A Boutique hotel is every sense of the word without the price tag ! beautiful interior, lovely rooms, a panoramic roof terrace (book an evening sunset in the jacuzzi with Prosecco is a must). some of the most amazing staff we have ever met in the world (who go beyond to ensure that you feel special, welcome and have everything you need). Amazing breakfast and 7* Service. Do not miss the opportunity to dine in their Il Tiranno restaurant, an amazing chef who cooks with pure passion and innovation to deliver Michelin star quality at local prices. the food, preparation and service is just incredible (so if you don’t stay here, make sure you eat here!!). we are so thankful to the staff for one of the most memorable stays we’ve ever had! This hotel is a gem, in the city centre and within walking distance of all attractions. A truly wonderful experience, thank you Caportigia !!

Room was spacious and comfortable and particularly liked the terrace snd the patio next to our room which was the only room on the third floor

The only reason we gave this hotel a 9 instead of a ten was that there were just too many sweets for breakfast and not enough items that comprise a more normal breakfast . Breakfast needs to be a healthier endeavor and not filled with so many items that are really not appropriate for breakfast and seemed to largely be wasted as the hotel was not very full from what we could see. But this did not detract too much from our stay and hopefully is a helpful comment.

Very clean, good location, staff that offered recommendations for activities and places to go. really good bed(hard) have slept really well :)

Our room was located at 1st floor, could hear from the room the voices and noises from hallway or reception.

Our Junior Suite was spacious. It was well set up for when you are chilling after day of sightseeing. Location was in good part of town away from centro and near the station. Breakfast was very good with a variety of options. If you stay here and want to eat away from tourist crowd in the historical centre (Ortigia) go eat at local neighbourhood restaurant Crisalva Bistrot a family run restaurant with good tasty Sicilian food and friendly owner/staff.

We loved this hotel. The staff were excellent. When we arrived the front desk clerk gave us all the info about restaurants, landmarks, markets, etc in the area. They recommended two restaurants which we were very satisfied with. If you like seafood, Siracusa is the place for you. The whole hotel looks like it was recently refurbished. All the details have been maintained. I have never seen a more beautiful presentation of the breakfast buffet and the servers were all very well dressed, polite and hospitable. The location is idea... about a 10 min walk and you can be on Ortigia. The welcome drink that we also enjoyed was a nice touch. We felt the price was reasonable for the quality service and lodging we received.

Our room was a little hot even though we tried to turned the heating off completely. They had publicized the hot tub on the roof but it was closed when we were there. It was disappointing.

A very well designed and well presented hotel. It looked and felt like a high quality establishment. The valet parking (€25 per 24h) was very convenient - Siracuse is not an easy city to park in and one has to pay €15 even to self-park in a parking garage. The breakfast was very good indeed - a varied, high quality and (depending upon ones choices, of course!) potentially healthy affair that was well worth the €15 each. Everything was in perfect order and felt fit for purpose. There was a kettle in each room. it was a 10 minute walk south to Ortigia island (the Old Town) or a 10 minute walk north to the archeological park and its Greek/Roman ruins.

The hotel stay itself was quite expensive - we had paid much less at several other nice hotels (in Italy & Spain) that had included breakfast. The staff were all very nice and friendly but sometimes the service was in danger of feeling intrusive - which could be disconcerting, depending upon whether you like that sort of thing or not.

It was very spacious, with comfortable beds, and the lighting was nice in the bathroom, bedroom and living area.

There was no hot water and the staff weren't apologetic, they just said maintenance was happening and it would be fixed within a couple of hours, well it was not fixed for the 3 days that were there. No compensation for having terrible cold showers.

Modern, bright, excellent food for dinner and breakfast, complimentary cocktails, top class staff, spacious rooms, nice welcome every time we returned. All very good.

It's a good 10 minute walk to the old town, which was not a problem but would have been even better had we been closer. The up side is that you are half way to the archaeological site, which is a highlight of Syracusa. We also chose a room not ideal for us. Lovely though it was, as an older couple we were uncomfortable with the gallery bedroom in our junior suite because of having to negotiate stairs in the night.

Very friendly and efficient front desk. It is a 5-10 minute walk to Ortigia, and probably much more comfortable and quiet to stay here than on the island itself. Depending on when you arrive, free street parking available. Windows on street not 100% soundproof but it is a quiet street abutting on a park, nice little terrace to have an apero or even dinner, although we did not try this. Lovely breakfast

No gym, but one can compensate with walking. Minor detail.
