I chose this property mainly because it is near the bridge that leads to the bus stop, and since I know that I would be arriving late in the evening, I contacted them in advance and received instructions on how to check myself in. The hotel is in and old building but in an excellent location, rooms are clean and have everything I needed, including a balcony overlooking the water. And the staff was very helpful!

Considering the age of the building, there was not much that needed to be improved. Perhaps more vegetables at breakfast (which was otherwise very good).

The location was excellent and easily accessible from the mainland. Every site on the inland was within walking distance as were lots of choices for eating. The third party service that the hotel recommended worked perfectly. They picked up the car and delivered it at exactly the time agreed upon. They asked for a 1-hour notice and charged 25 euros (although the hotel quoted 20 euros). We communicated with them via WhatsApp.

The front desk is advertised as being staffed from 8am to 8pm. However, on the Saturday that we were there it was not staffed and we needed help with a couple of issues. The breakfast starts at 8; we would have liked for it to open at 7:30 so that we could have been at the archaeological site when it opened. Also, seating is small for the number of guests.

The location of L'Approdo delle Sirene was perfect: just steps from both the marina/seaside promenade and the bridge to mainland Siracusa. Beautiful scenery, easy access to eateries and tourist sites. The buffet in the breakfast room overlooking the sea was wonderful, with a great variety of sweet and savoury selections, coffee and juices. The room was spacious enough, with a small balcony and a good bathroom/shower. They even had fresh fruit in the main lobby for guests to enjoy, and the staff was always friendly and helpful.

There was no one staffing the desk after 8:00 or 9:00 PM, although they had an emergency phone number listed. But to be fair, only two of the seven places I stayed in Italy this trip had anyone physically on hand 24 hours/day.

Great location, easy to get around Ortigia island on foot. Great air conditioning (very welcome in the heat). Big bed, bit firm, but worked for us. Good selection at breakfast.

Bathroom a bit small, had been carved out of the bedroom, so not as separate as we would have liked it - with a sliding door separating it from main room, but very minor issue. If you’re hiring a car - parking is a real challenge, especially at the weekend.

The building is located across the street bordering the waterfront on Ortigia Island. The room was comfortable; it had no windows but an openable skylight in the roof. Breakfast was offered in the rooftop sunroom, with beautiful view of the marina. The breakfast was excellent - nutritious with variety of choices. Overall - great location, comfort, helpful staff and a charming atmosphere.

the ambience was exceptional.The staff professional and helpful and exceptional especially Stephani who went out of her way to help. Also the breakfast staff and breakfast was exotic.All the staff were amazing. Such a delightful boutique hotel I would recommend it to anyone.The view from breakfast room over the BAY was also special.

Was a fabulous choice for us and we enjoyed it so much. Staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfast on the sun terrace over looking the harbour was amazing. A great selection of sweet and savoury for breakfast and really good coffee. Within walking distance to everything. Loved it.

location is central overlooking the sea port. it is very clean BB , many rooms have balconies, but I stayed at an attic double room. however it was spacious with high ceilings and only shortcoming was just one roof top window - so you have light but not a view. Hotel has wonderful roof terrace where breakfast is served. excellent breakfast and very kind and professional staff. i highly recommend this place.

Great breakfast terrace with views. Comfortable quiet rooms with tea tray and quiet air con. No trouble to provide early breakfast on day we left. Plenty of choice at breakfast would recommend little cakes. Friendly and helpful employees always provided great service. Nice touches in reception area fresh and flavoured water available to help yourself too. Would definitely stay again if travelling to Ortigia.
