Owner was very nice, my husband got sick and he helped me find the pharmacy, offered me food to take to my husband in our room as he was too unwell to come out for breakfast and also waived the city tax for our stay as he felt bad for us that my husband was sick the whole stay. Room was very clean. Nice breakfast in a homely relaxing environment. Good location which was an easy walk from the water bus. Quiet location - peaceful room.

Very dated room. Small room with no space to spread out. No fridge in room - it was a communal one in hallway. Small shower and shower head was leaking. Room was dark and a bit depressing. Tv was tiny.

Amazing staff, wonderful breakfast and very clean. Had everything we needed for our short stay in Venice with a lovely restaurant just around the corner that I’d highly recommend. Lovely little hotel; nicely decorated and in a good location.

We were under the impression that we’d have the entire place to ourselves including the lovely living room in the picture, but actually ended up with a smaller room with a separate bathroom that we had to walk across the communal hallway to get to. Shower also got water all over the floor and we couldn’t prevent it. However, I would definitely stay here again as once we got over the initial surprise it didn’t matter at all as it had everything we needed for two nights. (I’d also go again just for that breakfast!)

the breakfast was amazing. they give you great breakfast options. I had eggs with fresh fruit, a basket full of different types of bread, multiple spread options, coffee and an option to have yogurt. The staff was excellent. everybody was extremely nice and helpful. Everything was clean and they even had a mini fridge with beverages at a low cost. Location was close to a very nice highly rated restaurant as well as a local barn period and all the sightseeing was within 15 to 20 minutes walking. I loved my stay.

The pillows were a little too hard for me personally.

Once we found the location and were let in, it was very comfortable and the location was close to eateries, but very quiet. It was very simple to get to the airport by shuttle boat (15 euros) at San Stae, but do not try to walk from train station with luggage, take a vaporetto #1 to San Stae instead.

Our initial communication with this b&b was difficult because of lack of phone service on my cell phone and I was not that familiar with "WhatsApp" which is how the owner communicates

Beautiful place as a hotel to stay and Venice is amazing itself. Hotel is comfortable staff is helpful they can't do enough for you. Also location is great. Breakfast is delicious. Definitely recommend.

We have visit Venice at March 2023 and there was mosquito in the room. When we have checked in there was a plug for mosquito but we didn't think it will be required. If you go to this place just need to use the plug. Which is already provided in the room.

Breakfast was of a good quality and of a good size. Location was good, but not easy to find; the B&B was only indicated on the bell, there was not a clear sign. The room was clean and confortable

Breakfast was served starting from 8:30; this was a bit too late for us. The B&B was in a quite old building; the entrance is at the first floor of a small and dark stairs; theire is no elevator; this is not very suitable for elder people. The room does not have a desk nor a table for writing

We loved our stay here! The host was extremely accommodating with an early check in and he spoke 3 languages just during our stay (English, Spanish, and Italian). The breakfast was delicious with several hot and cold options- eggs, fruit, pastries, coffee, yogurt, meats & cheeses. It's a quick walk to many of the main attractions but off of the main drag with too many crowds. Our room was huge, comfortable, large windows, air conditioning available. Extra linens were included. It was a great stay!

Very appreciative of the flexibility of the property in allowing us to arrive early and also leave our bags on our departure day. Comfortable room with essential a/c and a lovely private bathroom. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Loved the surrounding area and the walking access to the many wonderful sites of Venice.

Nothing. We got lost a few times but that is due to the many small streets in Santa Croce which takes some navigating. Invest in a map rather than relying on goggle!

The location was great, in the heart of Venice. the room was comfortable and quite, and everything was very clean. Magdalena is such a lovely person, and the breakfast was nicely prepared. Nicola is a great host and the communication was very easy. We will definitely recommend the place!

No dislikes - just the TV in the room that was not working (but did not bother us), and one or another mosquito in the night - but that is an easy fix.

B&B Ca del Modena was a perfect choice for our 5-day stay in Venice in early May. The location was excellent for us: we really liked its closeness to the San Stae waterbus stop and to a good range of restaurants as well as the quietness of its position on a narrow street away from any busy activity. The B&B is managed expertly by Nicola who gives full attention to every detail and who was quietly available to provide us with information and advice whenever we needed it. The breakfast, served with real professionalism by Magdalena, was excellent. We felt that our stay at B&B Ca del Modena gave us a taste of real Venetian elegance, a genuine welcome and sense of concern that we would enjoy our holiday. Thank you, Niciola and Magdalena!
