Hotel Antiche Figure

After much consideration over where to stay on our first visit to Venice, and since we were arriving by train, I decided to choose the Hotel Antiche Figura. I'll pat myself on the back, because the hotel turned out to be perfect- for location, beauty, amenities, and especially for the best staff ever! The hotel is located across the Grand Canal from Venezia Santa Lucia station. We stepped out into the madness that is Venice, and only had to navigate the crowds (Tourism is back, folks! Especially on Easter Week!), avoid the wanna-be persistent porters (but they COULD be very helpful IF luggage help is needed) and make the short walk to our lodging. The hotel is intimate, rooms are beautifully decorated, and the lobby bar is convenient. The canal-side seating outside is perfect for people watching- morning with coffee and evening with a Spritz. There is a gondola stand right outside (and kudos to our final night gondolier, Antonio, for the best wrap up to our Venice trip!) The staff is exemplary! Friendly and helpful from arrival to departure. They set up water taxis for us, gave excellent tips for everything from vaporetto route directions to Covid testing. The breakfast buffet is good, their hard working kitchen staff works overtime to make you happy. And it seems every staff member has coffee skills, at all times of day or night. Great cocktails as well. They offer a free trip via water taxi to Murano for a glass blowing demonstration. Very nice, and no, you don't have to purchase anything (especially the incredible, but pricey, artworks. FYI: the end of the tour has the necklaces and other affordable items). You will have to take a vaporetto (local water bus) to get back to Venice proper. The staff and management at Hotel Antiche Figura is top notch! Gianni, Francesca, Alessandro and Antonio and the entire crew made our stay a perfect one! Grazie mille! If we ever get to return to this gorgeous city, we would definitely stay here again.

This was our third stay at this beautiful hotel and we will be coming back. The staff is exceptional, the rooms and facilities are clean and comfortable, the breakfast, the cappuccino and bellinis were delicious! The location is in a very desirable area across the Grand Canal from the train station. It is much quieter and less expensive than areas closer to the Rialto Bridge or St. Mark's Square. The hotel also assisted us with getting covid testing to return to the United States. The Antiche Figure always delivers the best service and we love it!

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Antiche Figure! It's easily accessible from the train station - right across the bridge of the Grand Canal. We actually took the bus from the airport which was super convenient, just note though that from the transport parking lot, there are quite a few bridges with stairs that you'll have to carry your suitcases over. When we left Venice, we had a private driver take us back to the airport, and we were grateful the hotel had the option for us. Overall, this hotel offered lovely service, great breakfast, the rooms were clean, and everyone on staff was incredibly helpful and kind. Highly recommend!

Arguably one of the best hotels we've stayed at. Everything was top notch. Location is super convenient, the train station is directly on the other side of the Grand Canal, less than 5 minutes' walk. Fancy a gondola ride or a water taxi ride? You can get on and off just outside the hotel. The friendliest and funniest people run the hotel. This has got to be the ultimate service with a smile. Alessandro and Gianni manning the reception and bar area are real gems. We were tired from the train ride from Milan (it was supposed to only take 3 hours but got delayed by 2 hours because halfway through the ride, there was a dead body on the tracks and the train couldn't proceed until the police were done). We weren't in the best of moods when we got to the hotel, but Alessandro and Gianni were fast to lift our spirits with witty jokes and happy vibes. The room we got was gorgeous, with a balcony opening up to the Grand Canal. Really cool to watch the boats and gondolas go up and down the canal. Slept like a baby on the few nights we were staying there, soundproofing in the room was good. Breakfast spread was yummy, and they try to keep the guests comfortable by having them down for breakfast in stages. Guests will be asked to choose their preferred time to be down for breakfast daily, and if the selected time is busy, another time will be suggested. I liked this a lot, as there is no over-crowding at the buffet area and ample seating around. I particularly loved sitting outside next to the canal for breakfast and watch Venice come to life. But beware of the pesky seagulls. We really loved Venice and its beautiful buildings and little alleys. Will definitely be back - to lovely Venice and the hospitable Hotel Antiche Figure.

EVERYTHING. Before we even got there we were helped tremendously to have a water taxi arranged from the airport with detailed instructions and tips for our visit through booking.com messaging.. The staff was wonderful to greet us, show us a map and explain things to do...allowed us to freshen up in a bathroom before taking our luggage until we could check in. When we came back our luggage was already in our room and staff escorted us up to show us to it. Breakfast was phenomenal. Our view of the grand canal amazing. We needed to get to the bus station in pouring rain so very last minute requested a porter to take the luggage and they happily arranged it. The room was at the top and next door was a wedding reception which was fun to see from windows but amazingly the room was SILENT when windows were closed. The bath tub was great and towel warmer a great touch.

Literally cannot think of a thing we didn't like. Only wish we could have stayed longer.

Very convenient location to access all the different transport modes that Venice has to offer. Easy to access from Pizzale Roma bus terminal, the train station and the vaporetto. Excellent care with service from all members of staff. Travelled with two teens and our room was perfectly organised for us. I had requested beforehand, three separate beds and this was not a problem. The room was spotlessly clean. This is a very well run hotel, with friendly & kind staff members that made our stay such a pleasure. Breakfast was an excellent continental style breakfast, lovely fresh food and plenty of it. Great communication with staff before and through out our stay. I would certainly return given the opportunity! Represents very good value for Venice.

This hotel is a wonderful place to stay when exploring all that Venice had to offer. It is very central for all attractions, while still offering a relaxing space away from the more crowded areas. The staff were very warm and welcoming and so helpful in providing information on Venice and transport. Everything is spotlessly clean and fresh, we had a lovely room with everything we needed for a wonderful stay. Breakfast was great with a good selection and we were very happy with the food. An added extra provided by the hotel for free was the visit by water taxi to Murano, a tour of the glass factory and showrooms. a great experience overall and we will definitely stay there again when next in Venice. Alessandro ensured we had a room with a balcony as it was a special occasion RM 212, I cant thank the staff at Antiche Figure enough. I was planning a proposal to my partner and spoke to Alessandro at the hotel via email and phone who went out of his way to help me as much as him and his staff could. All in all it was a great trip. Highly recommended this hotel, great rooms, views and the service was exceptional. The location is amazing as its on the water front, Gondola service on your doorstep, would also recommend a water taxi to and from the airport as this was an amazing experience.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Antiche Figure in Venice and it was an absolutely outstanding experience. Every aspect of my stay was 10/10, but what really made it special was the exceptional staff who went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The hotel is conveniently located right across the bridge from the train station, which made it easy to get in and out of Venice. This was especially important, as getting around Venice can be a challenge due to the city's many canals and bridges. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm and friendly welcome I received. The staff were incredibly accommodating and even gave me and my wife a free room upgrade, which was a lovely surprise. The room itself was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, with all the amenities I could need for a comfortable and very romantic stay. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of fresh fruits, pastries, cereals, cold cuts, cheeses, and bread, along with the famous Italian coffee. The staff also went out of their way to make sure that I had everything I needed, including an early breakfast before my departure. This was an unexpected gesture that really made a difference, and it was greatly appreciated. Additionally, they arranged a complimentary private boat tour to Murano, where we were given a tour of a traditional glass factory. It was fascinating to see the glassblowers at work and to learn about the history and artistry of Murano glass. Overall, I cannot recommend the Hotel Antiche Figure highly enough. The exceptional staff, free room upgrade, and outstanding breakfast were just a few of the many things that made my stay unforgettable. If I were to come back to Venice, I would definitely stay here again. Thank you for a truly outstanding experience!

The hotel is on the Grand Canal, near the bridge, across from the train station - so could not be more convenient for arrival and departure. Set back from the canal, hotel has seating out front to watch the world go by. Really a fantastic location. Room was beautiful and surprisingly spacious, with small extra bed/recliner, desk and chairs. Bath was very nice and lovely. multiple windows opening to the canal and town. breakfast was extensive and very good. Small bar available most of the time to purchase beverage and sit inside or out. Hotel provides a round trip boat/taxi to Murano and a tour with one of the glass factories. That was outstanding! We further benefited when the captain was willing to drop us off near San Marco, rather than just back at the hotel, saving much time. Bed was very comfortable also. Breakfast was very good and extensive.
