Exceptional position between the rialto bridge and Saint Mark's Square. The room was small but comfortable; the bathroom was very small but recently renovated. The staff was kind and helpful

The hotel is in a sort of tower house with rooms up to the 5th floor, with small stairs and of course no elevator (being in the historical center of Venice). It was not a problem for us, but people with reduce mobility or a lot of luggage should ask in advance about the floor they will be staying. Street addresses in Venice are not very informative: I suggest to ask the property some additional direction to find the the hotel.

Perfect location. Very clean room with everything you would need. Pleasant member of staff in the morning checking us out. Only disappointment was we booked a twin room/2 single beds and got a double. Arriving after 2.30pm there was no one available, the phone number given only works until 3pm and then it's contact via email only. We requested help with changing the room but received no answer. That said the room was lovely and I would recommend the hotel x

Not receiving our request for separate beds. No person available to talk to.

fantastic little hotel in perfect location, 2 min walk from st marks square and the rialto bridge (where we caught the boat taxi to), very comfortable beds- I think they’re the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept on in a hotel! fantastic helpful staff. room equipped with fridge, tv with Netflix (whisky getting ready), hair dryer, safe, fan. iron borrowed on request. very clean. couldn’t of picked a better location.

quite a lot of steps, was ok for us as we were a couple but an elderly couple may struggle with the e stairs to the room.

the location was fantastic as it felt like it was right in the middle of all locations of Venice. We were able to explore most of the districts of Venice in a comfortable walking distance from this hotel. Plus the staff, especially Anna was LOVELY and incredibly helpful!!

The steps were tough getting up and down with our heavier luggage. An elevator isn’t an option with this property as it is such a historic kind of building. Just something to keep in mind

Superb location - 5 min. walk from Grand Canal (Rialto vaporetto stop) and 6 min. on foot to Piazza San Marco. The hotel is in the heart of historic Venice. Authentic atmosphere and style. Tasty breakfast in the cafe next door. Extremely hospitable staff - especially the receptionist Anna. We spent 4 nights and enjoyed every minute of our stay. Good value for money. I definitely recommend Lanterna di Marco Polo Hotel to every traveller, visiting Venice.

Steep and narrow stairs, but do have in mind that this is an old building from the 15-th century.

Very nice and clean room in the center of Venice. Reception was very nice also the automatic lock is simple to use when they are not present. Close to everything you want to do and with (not attached) cafeteria next door for morning coffee.

The phone signal is weak in the whole area, the wifi is also not the best, but I do not really care about connectivity on such places.

I loved the place - it's charming, cosy and welcoming. Also very well run with attention to detail and some nice touches. The location can't be more central - a few minutes from Rialto and San Marco. The staff were great - very kind and helpful. A perfect base for exploring Venice.

I only didn't like the sheets - there was no case for the blanket, just two sheets. Not a big problem though.

Amazing location but still quiet. Small dated room but totally adequate for a great time in Venice. Self check-in was a breeze. Liked having 2 doors to enter/exit the hotel. Definitely recommend. AC worked well. Didn't get breakfast.

Strange front desk hours. But self.check was fine. No idea why you have to unlock yourself out of the hotel. Doesn't seem totally safe in an emergency. Would be nice not to have the spare bed in the room taking up space.

We are very pleased. Hotel in a great location, 2 minutes from the Rialto Bridge. The area is ideal for walking along small streets. Morning coffee in a cafe at the hotel. Mrs. Anna very helpful, kind and cordial. A hotel with a nice Italian atmosphere. We received an apartment with a private terrace for which we thank you very much;) We heartily recommend this place!

I really enjoyed our stay here in December 2021! The location is superb: it's right in between Rialto and San Marco square and once you learn how to get by in Venice (which to me happened on the second day), you'll see how close you're to the the very heart of the city. The interior design is very authentic to the city: you feel like you've time-travelled, yet all the amenities are there. And the owner is extremely nice: he called me like a week before to make sure that I had got the key code to the entrance door — it felt like been cared for even before you actually stay at the place! :) On top of all, there is a bar next door where you can grab a morning coffee or nice Aperol Spritz. And the place has Ukrainian bartender — which to me, being a Ukrainian — came as a shock on my first night :) All in all, this was a very nice stay!
