This is a beautiful hotel. Staff all lovely and helpful. Beautiful breakfast. Housekeeping amazing. Room spotless. When I went for breakfast in the morning my room had been completely made up by the time I got back. Have never experienced housekeeping like this. Deserves a medal.

There was nothing I didn't like about the hotel itself. Finding your way around is a problem in Venice anyway so I kept getting lost. In that sense you would need to be aware of that. So while I would definitely recommend everything about the hotel itself, give some thought to the location. Venice is badly signposted anyway but this area has little if any. Clearly not the hotels fault. If you haven't stayed here before bear this in mind. Area was itself was totally safe though.

We loved the location and the very Italian interiors and a special touch of complimentary Prosecco in our room for our anniversary! Staff were so friendly and professional and the hotel beautiful and spotless.

The very short notice (a few days before our trip) that the wellness spa was suddenly undergoing building work the whole time we were there. We’d specifically booked the hotel for this reason so were very disappointed. when we contacted the hotel to express this and ask of any compensation we were told it was an extra cost anyway. Which of course we knew, but the option was there and had been taken away.

This may be the best hotel I have ever stayed in and I have stayed in Fairmonts and Ritz Carltons. Over-the-top gorgeous marble, wood floors, furniture, everything. Friendly and helpful staff. Bonus was a Juliet balcony from our room overlooking the courtyard and charming views of rooftops; didn't expect that (and we got the cheapest room they have). Air conditioning was already on for us when we arrived, a truly special touch in a hot destination. Spacious room including light-up closet and refrigerator, elegant little sitting area, and surprisingly large bathroom. Ten stars!

Nothing! It couldn't have been better. Far exceeded all expectations.

The location of the Ai Reali is excellent, set between St marks square and the Rialto bridge. The minute you leave the hotel you are in the main area of Venice. The fact that they are directly on a canal, helps the charm of the place. The hotel is not cheap, but the hotel is well run and the staff are amazing. Breakfast was included and was well worth having. Our room looked out over a canal and was very clean and spacious. We caught a private taxi from the airport and arriving to their private jetty was a great experience.

We can’t fault much about this hotel! It was in the best location imaginable- close to Rialto bridge but not too close and tucked away in a private corner. The room was perfect- such a lovely Venetian vibe and the spa was a great addition too. We would advise to pre book. We booked the sauna steam room and aromatic spa- the jacuzzi was closed for the winter but the experience all in all was so relaxing! The breakfast was great- had to pay extra for eggs other than scrambled but the scrambled eggs were so good we didn’t need to! Such a good selection of other food as well.

The room was quite hot and the heating system didn’t seem to be working so we ended up having the windows open most of the time- not a massive issue though! The bathroom was quite small and slightly hot and humid but the beauty of the rooms made up for it!

Exceptional staff - from front desk to restauration to cleaning personnel; friendly, competent, and helpful Great location - very central and somehow still hidden away Comfortable beds, solid breakfast, good value, fine restaurant... I could go on and on... All in all, it's an impressive offering! We were very happy with our choice.

Some nitpicking... A high duty facility - Venice doesn't really know a low season - the room (especially the bathroom) did show some wear and tear. There was a constant low-key fan noise/humming throughout the night. The SPA is OK, but you feel that it is not the main value proposition - still, a SPA in the middle of Venice, what's not to like?!

The hotel is very nice, our room very small and quite expensive, but we don’t usually visit Venice during this busy time of year. We asked to change rooms and the staff was very nice about showing us a different available room. This was our second visit, on our first visit we had a much bigger room for a better price at a different time of year. Excellent breakfast, very kind staff in entire hotel.

The hotel is in a beautiful palace, decorated to perfection. The room was spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. Location is excellent, 3 min walk to Rialto, but located in a quiet street. The breakfast was the standard Italian breakfast. Gluten free croissants and bread were available. We also had dinner once at the restaurant, which was really good. The staff is very attentive and polite. The drinks at the bar are amazing. We also heard good things about the spa, but didn’t have the chance to try it ourselves. Very pleased with our choice and would definitely recommend it to others. We were on our honeymoon and were given a complimentary prosecco, which was lovely of them!

A bit expensive, but Venice is generally really expensive so..

Lovely traditional hotel in an excellent position by the Rialto Bridge and minutes from St Marks Square. The hotel has its own water taxi landing stage which is handy and they will take you to Murano Island for free - outward journey only. Rooms are traditional and pretty and the air con worked very well. No coffee machine but there is a kettle, tea and coffee. Staff quite helpful.

The breakfast could be improved to provide freshly cooked hot food to order. The buffet was basic nothing home made. Beds are a little hard. The bar is really quiet - no music or atmosphere - very bare. We would have used it more if better. Staff will help a little but could have provided more of a concierge service.

Old world luxury atmosphere throughout. It was a little tricky to remember the route to get to the hotel, but it was also nice to be in a corner of San Marco that was off the beaten path. Hotel staff was very accommodating. That it has its own private dock was a saving grace for us with a 6:15 AM flight departure. The water taxi picked us up at the hotel and we had a really beautiful transit through the canals in the dark and wee hours of the morning!

The rooms are on the smaller side so the little table with two chairs in the corner next to the fireplace, while charming, was almost too small to keep a bottle on ice and glasses on. Because our room overlooked the canal, it can occasionally get a little loud during the night and in the early morning with the water taxis and gondolas passing by.
