absolute perfect choice for us, located approximately 2km from main st marks square, we enjoyed being in a quiet secluded area, which forced us to walk parts of Venice we may have otherwise missed. hotel very clean, staff always helpful and friendly, breakfast choices perfect, our room was upgraded and situated at the end of the hotels secret garden over looking the sea, absolutely stunning, couldn’t have asked for a better hotel and location for us

The location was good, away from busy crowds but just 5 minutes walk to restaurants and shopping. The decor in lobby was so beautiful and staff was very friendly!

We traveled as a family and asked for our rooms to be close to each other, but our room was on the other side of garden in a different building (room 142). Our bathroom was designed very badly, had steps that was dangerously close to the basin and we had to be careful to not bump our knee when entering. Also couldn’t sit on toilet properly since the steps was in front of toilet and bathrobes were hanging next to toilet covering toiletpaper. There was no power socket for coffee machine so we had to carry machine to bathroom to make coffee.

Location was wonderful, a 20 minute lovely stroll to San Marco. Nice and reasonably quiet spot for the hotel. It has a lovely, large and well kept garden. Pleasant restaurants and bars nearby. Interior of hotel and rooms beautiful - we were told it was recently renovated. Huge, comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options available. Lovely cappuccino. Great complimentary trip to a Murano glass factory, which we enjoyed. The glass is pretty pricey though! The hotel has a lovely bar at the front. The staff were all super friendly and helpful.

Generally the hotel was very good. There were a few small things that bothered us. We were staying in a room by the lagoon and this was a little noisy with passing speedboats the first night. The room was advertised with a/c but this didnt work and it was pretty warm. Our teabags weren’t refreshed each day and our room had no shower gel when we arrived - quickly rectified but shouldn’t happen in a 5*. There were also a lot of garden items stored in the area by our rooms which was pretty untidy.

location was actually amazing. you don’t want to be next to st Mark square it’s awfully crowded there, restaurants are terrible, it’s noisy. here was the perfect spot to walk and get lost in the little canals and get nice pictures and have a drink in a terrace where there was only locals. Breakfast à la carte was appreciated. staff at front desk super helpful, helped us book a few restaurants in advance, a shuttle, gave amazing recommendations. Room was small but very pretty.

the male staff in general needs to get their **** together. they look like they’re depressed or unhappy to be here, rolling their eye to the sky and sighting when customers ask something during breakfast. either have a positive attitude at work or change jobs.

The hotel was magnificent and grand. The room with canal view was lovely, the whole room was very clean and comfortable to stay in. The little garden within the hotel was beautiful, loved all the little details that made the environment great. Staff were all friendly and helpful as well.

The location was not the most convenient, took some time for us to get there with heavy luggages and getting the wrong turns here and there. But overall the wonderful parts of the hotel compensated well for this and made it worth the walk and search process.

The Grand hotel is in a lovely quiet location about a 25 minute walk to the main attractions. The rooms have recently been decorated and are very clean. We had a lovely little room overlooking the canal on the 1st floor. The staff were very attentive and friendly. Delicious breakfast in the morning (continental and hot) which was buffet, but also eggs anyway and smoothies made to order. The restaurant was closed due to renovation, but dinner options served in the bar if needed. Very good local restaurants and bars within a 5 minute walk.

Beautiful old Palace, very well designed for the hotel, fantastic park. The hotel location is a big plus as you can stay in quite and peace in Venice, while others pay tons of money for.the noise and crowds of the center-located 5star hotels.

The breakfast does not fit the status of the hotel - very poor and no possibility to get porridge, for instance.

Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Excellent service. They gave me a free room upgrade which was very kind. Even helped me find my glasses which I left on a water taxi!

The location means it can be a little long/tricky to get to rialto or the main square unless you get a private water taxi everywhere (but that is fairly expensive at £50 one way).

Amazing staff, very sophisticated decor, convenient shuttle to San Marco Square. Hotel was in beautifully calm area which we loved after the businesses of the San Marco area. Concierge were incredibly helpful with booking the shuttles and suggesting places to eat. Breakfast was also excellent! You must stay here!
