This hotel is fabulous, I don’t understand how it is a 2 star I would rate it at least a 3/4, the value for money is outstanding. They even fill up your fridge with different types of drinks with no extra charge! it has everything you need and a little extra, I’m so amazed how little I paid for what I got and it’s the perfect location it’s not in the busiest place which was so much more peaceful and authentic but still only a 25 min/ half hour walk to the centre (5 minute water bus which is right outside the hotel). Staff were perfect, so lovely and helped us with anything we needed. The interior inside the hotel and rooms was gorgeous too, very modern and grand exactly like the pictures! if you want an affordable hotel but still high quality and not right in the busiest part of Venice so you get to enjoy the authenticity and the quietness of Venice but still can just walk or get a quick water bus to the centre this is the hotel for you!

Very near to the train station (within 5 mins walk) so it was an easy short walk with our huge luggage despite the crowd. You don’t hear much noise (from the crowd) but just some slight sound of train even when window is close. We love the layout of the room which is although slightly small but the space is good for 2 pax with sufficient space for luggage. There is air conditioning and the bed is comfortable. The hotel staff are generally young who is also very friendly and nice. Breakfast room is small where you need to book your time slot daily but staff always replenish food quickly and ensure that the place is clean and tidy. Location of hotel is slightly further away from the tourist site but you can take a water bus around where then bus stop is very near the hotel.

There is alot of mosquitoes (I think generally every hotel in Venice will have this issue) so better prepare some mosquitoes repellent before coming. Other than that, it’s all good !

continental breakfast was good. Location. The hotel was picked for its proximity to the train station and a 20-30 minute walk/stroll to St Marks.

Nothing wrong with the hotel. But, since we were joining a cruise, it is better to have a hotel on the mainland rather than Venice itself. The process to get to the cruise terminal with bags etc. from the island can be long - you need to factor extra time to check out and get to the cruise check in. The process is complicated by train strikes or other public transport strikes - such as the water taxis, and having to get your bags over the bridges with multiple steps.

The hotel is located in 5 minutes from the railway station and about 10 minutes from Pizzale Rome (buses to/from the airport). It is in a smaller side street, so there is no noise from the street. There are a lot of shops and restaurants in the vicinity. The rooms are modern, nicely done, with a fridge and a kettle (very much appreciated). The bathroom is spacious and clean. Breakfast is served on the ground floor and I liked it a lot - a very good selection of any type of food and very good coffee (even if from a machine). Wifi worked well.

The one and only thing I did not like and for which I give 9 and not 10 points, as the hotel would merit otherwise, is that there was quite a strange noise in the room maybe from air conditioning (but I tried to turn it off), maybe from something else, I am not sure.

I liked the fact that the hotel Venice Maggior Consiglio was located a short walk from the Railway Station (5 mins) and Bus Terminal 10 mins. In addition there a multiple boarding points for water transport in front of the railway station. There are an endless numbers of bars & restaurants also within walking distance. The hotel has been recently refurbished to a high standard and the rooms were clean and spacious.

My only minor complaint relates to the size of the breakfast area - it is cramped and often crowded. The buffet breakfast is satisfactory and more than sufficient to set you up for the day.

It was Clean and tidy. The staff were extremely friendly even though they deal with so many people I’m sure in the coarse of a year which can probably test patience. They were helpful, friendly. The property was clean. They allowed you to keep your luggage after checkout for the remainder of the day. Only issue we had was the water went cold once but then suddenly became hot. Overall it was a great place with friendly staff. I’m glad we stayed there.

The hotel is 2 mins walking distance from Venice Santa Lucia train station which was perfect for a one-night stay in Venice. A gondola docking point was right outside this train station. The room had a fridge and air conditioning that was much needed for the June heat. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel offers luggage storage. Breakfast was a standard continental spread - more sweet choices than savoury. There was lift access to our floor and we had to go down 2-3 steps to reach our room.

Small bathroom where it was easy to bump into the sink or toilet. Drainage of water from shower was slow but overall these were minor inconveniences.

I enjoyed the location (convenient for hauling suitcases to and from the bus/train stations), the breakfast selection (pastries, eggs boiled and scrambled, cereal bar, juices, coffee, breads), and the cleanliness of the room and shared facilities. I think this is as good as it gets in terms of value for Venice.

I didn't like the 10:30 am checkout time. At least I could leave my bags at the hotel so I could make use of my final day without carrying my luggage around. The room was quite small, and so was the bathroom.

Located a very short walk from the St Lucia train station and the water bus/taxi/airport bus, the location of this hotel is a major point of satisfaction. This hotel has been completely renovated and is like brand new. The cleanliness of the hotel common areas and the individual rooms, the friendly staff, excellent housekeeping staff, very good breakfast buffet, this hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. I will definitely stay here again!
