Staff very friendly and helpful. Bed and pillows were really comfortable. Asked for an upgrade as first room was two flights of stairs down and window was facing a wall. Had a lovely meal in the restaurant on the last night which was excellent. Only had breakfast the last morning which was nice with a good variety.

Not mentioned on the website, but two flights of stairs making it difficult for people with disabilities.

What I liked about double tree Cheltenham was that as we arrived I knew it was going to be a magical stay, the building was lit up and looked as thought it was something out of a fairytale. We arrived at reception, the staff were lovely and attentive showing us straight to our room. The bed was perfect, never had as good of a sleep as here. The room was spotless. We ordered room service for the traditional full English only costing £14, they came to the room politely and wished us a good day. The food was delicious and well worth the money. We never wanted to leave and we will most definitely be coming back !!

The only negative was that the shower was too hot but that could be a fault of our own as we wasn’t too sure how to work the shower. Other than that nothing was wrong with this property.

Attentive, polite, friendly staff. Clean, comfortable room. Nice little touches like complimentary freshly baked cookies and daily newspapers available at breakfast. Good selection of breakfast foods. Buffet area kept clean and tidy (spills and crumbs quickly mopped up).

Description of food on restaurant menu misleading. Ordered Lamb Wellington Nicose - expectation lamb wrapped in pastry with a salad. Reality - lamb wrapped in a vine leaf with a medley of vegetables. However, it was nicely cooked and presented with a couple of interesting ingredients, anchovies and olives, mixed through the veg which worked. Also thought a little pricy.

VERY long walk from reception to room, loss of a personal item from bathroom due to staff taking it away - very unsatisfactory when there are clear signs in bathroom of what will happen to items on floor on shelf etc. This DID not happen . Alex and Paul on reception were much less professional, sympathetic, friendly or helpful in dealing with our loss. Checkout was impolite and slow Decor although comfortable was dated

Great sized room and bed which was comfortable enough. Decent buffet breakfast with a good selection and very good value for money. Good location which was amazingly quiet but not far from the town centre.

Perhaps needs a bit of an update / refresh across the whole hotel as some areas felt a bit dated. Also - lose the bath! (or have a separate bath / shower given the space available). The shower pressure was not great and it would be better to have a separate cubicle.

The staff treated us extremely well, upgrading us for free due to it being my girlfriend's birthday. When something went wrong, they were quick to sort it out and even upgraded us once again to say sorry for the problem with our room fan. Breakfast was absolutely outstanding, so much food, and such a good variation. The grounds are absolutely lovely, the hotel is luxurious and the leisure center was well equipped for a hotel of this size. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone, which is why I recommended it to my mum who I think is going to stay there soon.

The electric fan in the room unfortunately broke on us, but the staff sorted it out quickly. The beds were extremely comfortable, however, the chair in our room was not. But both these things were small problems, overshadowed by everything else & the experience.

Everything! You expect a Doubletree to be exceptional and this did not disappoint! The room was spacious and comfortable! The bed was so comfortable! We had an excellent nights sleep! The staff was friendly and helpful. We needed a taxi and they got one for us. We ate dinner at the restaurant and the food was fantastic! Annabelle was our server and was so friendly and professional! She was delightful and took wonderful care of us during dinner. The grounds are beautiful and we enjoyed walking around.

spacious room. Very comfortable bed. We were facing the car park but there was no noise. Restaurant food was good and the hotel also had a bar. Large car park. Tea and coffee provided in the room. Also enjoyed breakfast.

Room was quite warm, we managed to turn the radiators down and there was also a fan mounted on the wall - which helped. Prices for the bar and restaurant were a little pricey, but we were glad to gat a table on the Saturday night as the ajoining pub did not serve food aster 8pm

Overall it was good and the bed and pillow were soft and my best option. I would suggest TV with Netflix on it.

The king size room did not have a fridge which I suggest it should, the rooms are not sound proof either, I could hear people in the hallway. Lastly there was a hard weird stain by the side of the bathtub which prevented me from having a soaking bath, I had to use the shower instead.

Swimming pool and included in the price, nice room, lovely hotel, nice grounds, facilities. Option to have fridge in room, a bath in bathroom, friendly staff, clean. Cookies given at reception, check out until 12pm, pet friendly - could bring my pet hamster with me, water at reception to keep hydrated

I unfortunately found the bed uncomfortable, no air conditioning, long walk to room with bags but then discovered there is a door from the outside with steps you can bring your car around to
