The location and the bathroom was spacious. We were able to check in earlier and we had access to a washer and fantastic dryer. The Nespresso machine was great and they gave us extra coffee the next day. We had pjs and amenities which was greatly appreciated .

I would suggest a smart tv so we could access Netflix. I did appreciate the fridge and microwave . I am not a fan of sleeping on the floor but I understand we are in Japan. Also the cleaning was not up to par. The top shelf in the kitchen hasn’t been cleaned in a while and it’s dusty. I still recommend this place but maybe advise the cleaning crew to do a better job.

Super modern accomodation in dated Mirahakone. Great location. Easy to find. Comfortable. Great bathroom. The kitchen area was stocked with everything we needed for the duration of our stay allowing us to cook in the room as all the restaurants in Hakone close super early. Familymart is a 5 minute walk away or pop into the 7Eleven or Lawsons on your stroll back from the station to grab something to eat for the evening. Self check-in and check-out was awesome and we had no problems at all. The host sends through very detailed messages in both English and Japanese. There is a hill that you need to walk up and down to get to the local town. It is steep, but not super steep, but I can imagine people with supersized baggage will have a hard time. But trust me when I say that the climb only lasts for 20 or 30 seconds. I’m from New Zealand so this hill was a breeze to walk up.

This is a beautiful, very new condo style apartment that literally has everything! A full kitchen, big bathroom, separate toilet, sofa and small table. We arrived earlier than check in but were immediately assisted to go to our unit and settle in. For the prices paid this was excellent value! Please note although it’s an easy walk into and out of town without bags, it’s not a place to get to WITH bags! But you have the option of a 600YEN (AUD$6) taxi ride or the bus which they tell you about on the information. Either will get you to/from in a few minutes super easy! I would highly recommend staying here for the quiet and superb property it is rather than stay right in town! Thank you again for the stay, we will stay longer next t8me!

Absolutely nothing!

On our 16 day trip to Japan, this condo was our most value for money stay. We had booked established hotels everywhere else and so were a little nervous about staying at a BnB kind of set up. As it turned out, Condominium Mirahakone gave us the most spacious room of our whole trip. The room was well stocked with everything we needed and even had a full kitchen set up. They were kind enough to allow us to check-in a couple of hours early too. We had read some negative reviews about the location but honestly we found it to be quite convenient. There is a steep incline to get to the property but getting a cheap cab to get you there is a breeze if you are weary of doing it on foot. Also, it's a 10 minute walk to the heart of town. The whole experience was above our expectations.

This is a great little hotel. It is a mix of modern and traditional Japanese. The beds are traditional Japanese, but the restroom and cooking area was modern. Very quiet and convenant location to bus stop. Very walkable and two resturants near the hotel. Washer and dryer on site and free.

Clean, quiet and very comfortable. Had little extras like coffee/tea and lovely soap/shampoo etc. Our room was ready earlier than 4 pm checkin so they messaged to let us know which was very considerate. It is a 15 minute walk to the station, few minutes to a convenient store and bus stop 1 minute walk. It is clearly stated this property is up a steep hill, so if you are ok with this i would recommend and I would stay again as we didn’t mind the walk to the station.

Location is A little away from main food areas in evening.

Spacious accomodation with an easy walk to town and nearby restaurants. 10 min bus ride from opposite train station up the hill to the accomodation. Don't try and walk the forest path that is mentioned. It's steep earth and log steps in disrepair.

Our room was on the ground floor and backed onto laundry and smokers area. It was very dark. Needed to have lights on all the time. We could hear people in units above us. The upper floors looked good with little balconies. It's for this reason I don't think the unit we had was good value for money

I loved this place so much! Eventhough some parts of the walk were steep, it was beautiful and allowed us to see the town on our way there. Google maps took us on an alternative and quicker walk back to town through a stunning forest (not suitable with bags). The beds were so comfortable and our girls loved the bunk beds. It was absolutely SPOTLESS and both the kitchen and bathroom were very well equipped. The staff always responded in an extremely timely manner and were always very helpful. Highly recommend!!!

Property was around 10-15 minute walk from Hakone Yumoto station or a short bus ride (if you don’t fancy the steep up hill walk with luggage) which takes you right outside. Instructions were very clear and the place had all amenities needed and a few convenient stores close by. We really enjoyed having the space and especially the bathroom. We also stored our luggage before and after check in with no issues. Highly recommend and great value for money!

Good for being near hakone Yamato station and an ok bus journey to the start of the route which includes the ropeway, cable car and ship. Very clean and a large space compared to our little box room in Tokyo.

The negatives would be the bed was little uncomfortable and only had one pillow, and the toilet seemed to have a smell the whole time. But that’s the only little negatives. Plus one of the area. Everything seemed to close really early in the town so not much to do in the evening.
