The hotel location is great, within 5 minutes walking distance (with shelter almost throughout the walk way) from the Hakone Yumoto train station. The room is in another building opposite the main hotel, with lift for access to different level. The room is clean and the bed is comfy. Air condition in the room worked well during hot days. I like the onsen spa at the roof top of the main building, especially the open air public bath, with nice forest and river view. Free and nice coffee served via Delonghi coffee machine at main building lobby.

The room is bit small, difficult to open luggage in the room if you are travel with big luggage.

Excellent location close to Hakone-Yumoto station, many shops (including convenience stores) within walking distance. Bed was comfortable, guests have access to several onsen in the main building just across the narrow street.

The blanket (comforter) looked like it hasn’t been cleaned for quite some time - there were several dark stains scattered across. I’ve only realized them in next morning‘s daylight, otherwise I would have asked for a new blanket for sure. Also, the bathroom is super tiny. Like really, really tiny - I could barely sit on the toilet without my legs touching the opposite wall.

Great value for money considering that you have access to the onsen at the main building, which is excellent. The public open air bath has a lovely view and on both occasions that I used it, I was the only person hence it felt like a private bath. The room is small but it works well for a solo traveller. Hotel is very close to the Yumoto station, just less than 5 minutes away. The staff are all very helpful and fluent in English.

I was given a smoking room despite booking otherwise. Thankfully the room smelled alright. Having read the reviews, it seems like this happens all the time so perhaps the management could look into improving this. Room is relatively clean although I found a strand of hair on the bed that clearly did not belong to me.

It was very near Hakone-yumoto station, and the hotel has an onsen (I think that onsen charges were not included in the booking.com prices). The staff was also very friendly, we could leave our baggage before and after check-out.

The unit bath in each room was very small, but a public bath/onsen was available so it was actually better to shower there. The whole electricity in the room will get turned off if you remove your room key, so we could not store food/drinks in the refrigerator which was inconvenient especially if you bought something cold and the refrigerator takes time to cool after you enter your room.

Both the indoor and semi-outdoor onsen were amazing. My second stay here and they have since renovated their lobby which looks really beautiful now. Room is decently sized and comfortable for a single person stay. The complimentary manju is delicious as well.

Personally have no issues with this, but the bathroom might be a bit of a tight squeeze for a tall (above 6ft) and large sized person as it's a little elevated from the room floor level.

Easily accessible from the train station and close to combini. Hot Spring included with towels and yukata provided. Staff spoke minimum English but was friendly and opened to questions. The price is very cheap.

The room was tiny and barely had space for big luggage. The lobby was in the opposite hotel without any signs so I was a bit confused when I arrived at the building.

I really enjoy the free onsen provided in the main building. The location is great, very close to Hakone Yumoto station. The room is really small as it’s a budget hotel, good for a night or 2 nights. The Yukata (bathing cloth) provided is nice and meant to be worn if you are going to enjoy onsen.

The room is really small, especially the washroom.

Very close to the station. In the same alley of the main hotel (this is Annex of main hotel, Suimeisou(水明莊)). Hot spring and location makes this stay a good value. There is no bfast, but a convenient store is near by.

You could smell humidity in the room. However, you could turn on air condition.
