Hotel Sunroute Sopra Kobe

I wanted to be down near the harbor, so I could hit the night markets and China town, and still stagger home at the end of the night. This is a really nice hotel, for the price. There are two laundries, giving a traveler a chance to do a load. The eatery on site does a choice of Japanese and western breakfast, with a good selection of fruit juice; coffees (plural); and even a jug of fruit smoothie. Staff were super helpful and I was able to empty out all my local change of various denominations and change that to laundry cash, easily. Its quiet, warm, no strange odours or stray whiffs of cigarettes. So I'm pretty happy over all.

I had problems operating the TV and couldn't get past the hotel waver for youtube. So that limited me to 5 local, all Japanese, tv stations. A help sheet in english would have been great. But the bathroom, shower, etc were all up to par.

Clean room and bath, kind and organized staff. Breakfast was also great. Only the fridge could have been turned on when guests are expected, but in general this saves energy as the technical equipment runs only if needed and I appreciate this in general. On the other hand, the room was really high temperated when arriving at the Hotel. 20-22°C should be sufficient. Due to technical equipment on the outside of the building, the room was very noisy when opening the window. With closed window, this was not an issue anymore. I had a good stay in Kobe.

Not too far from Sannomiya JR Station and very close to Kobe Ferry Terminal, so was perfect for our early morning ferry departure. The room and bathroom was larger than your average business hotel, which was a bonus. Also had a microwave oven and ice machines on some floors which we used. We arrived by two bicycles which were easily accepted and parked back of house in a secure area, Which was greatly appreciated.

We felt as though we were in a very expensive hotel. The room was generous in size, comfortable and clean. This was our favourite hotel and we returned to it 3 times in total throughout our stay in Kobe. The staff were very helpful, courteous and eager to help.

It was a comfy stay. The room was quite spacious!They had a shampoo bar, a drug store just across the street and a yummy yakiniku Resto just beside it.

It was a bit of a walk from the the station.

It has the appearance of a very expensive hotel, spacious, very comfy beds and great amenities. 10 minutes walk into town, great location. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Location which was just 10 mins walk from Sannomiya station. The hotel is located in a quiet area. There are a couple of convenience stores nearby.

I stayed two nights but no room cleaning during my stay has been done . Breakfast was not so good,

We got rooms on the 8th floor, so the view of the city was great. The bathrooms were very spacious and clean.
