Room was more spacious than expected, with a comfortable bed and a modern bathroom and shower. Location was conveniently close to the Motomachi subway station, with a 7-eleven right across the street as well as on the way to the station. Breakfast was superb.

I did miss the Japanese breakfast options that were provided at the Sannomiya location... the Motomachi location breakfast was very western focused. Upon entry the room had an unpleasant odor, but the air purifier and air conditioner turned on would eventually solve that issue.

I really enjoyed my stay thanks to the staff. They were so understanding and helpful with the many issues that came up throughout our trip! The facilities in the hotel were also wonderful and everything very enjoyable and comfortable in our room. The location is also great, close to so many stores to shop at, eat and walk around.

The laundry area doesnt actually have dryer machines. Even with doing doble cycle of "drying" in the washing machine, our clothes were still quite damp. But it could have also been me using it incorrectly :(

This ideally located hotel had, like most Japanese hotels, many free extras. A library of LP's as well as a turntable to play music in the lobby, a drink machine with beer, and a small restaurant for breakfast. Within walking distance of the train station, around the corner from Chinatown and 15 min walk from the waterfront. The staff was so helpful, suggesting places to see and how to get there.

I wouldn't change anything.

Very clean, stuffs speak good english. Facilities are very good in the room. The hotel is located very conveniently, it’s 1min from china town street, 5min from the port and 5min from motomachi station.

The dryer doesn’t work. We did our laundry using the machines, we almost dried our clothes for 2 hours but they were still wet. We asked help for stuffs, all they did is to find us the nearest laundry station on the google map :( not even a refund for their dysfunctional machine.

The staff were excellent could communicate very well in English. The room was spacious and efficiently designed excellent. Loved that they have a section to the right of the reception where you could listen to old records. Also helps that it’s right next to China Town.

Large rooms were appreciated. Lovely staff who went out of their way to answer our requests.

We arrived early and understood our room may not be ready. Staff member was quite rude about this though. Did not say much. Took out luggage and told us to come back at three pm. Not a good first impression at all.

The check-in was smooth. Car parking was at a separate building (3 minutes' walk away). There were many available lots. The location is right next to Nankin-machi, which is the food street. There were many food options to choose from. The Wi-Fi connection was strong and fast.

I have no major complaints about the hotel, although I wish that it was closer to the train station.

Large room with double bed for the standard in Japan. With Genius price and the day we went, we paid only 6,300 JPY which is a great value for the room. Usually in Japan in the price range 6,000 JPY we got only a tiny room (8-10m2) with a semi-double bed at most. However I have seen that 1 day earlier, the price would have been 20,000 JPY which will be not worth it at all. Good location in Motomachi at the entrance of Chinatown. Can reach by walk (within 20-30 min) many places: sannomiya, port, ...

The room design was very unique. The bathroom door could be open all the way to form a door to the bed room, which could work well for a lot of different things.

The staff the next day was super friendly, and I think a good example of what the staff can be like. However, the staff I worked with upon arrival was impatient and somewhat rude. I'm not perfect in Japanese though I understand some, but it was my first time with a check-in system like they have at this hotel, so I was a bit confused. When I didn't understand the reason for why I had to check-in at the machine, thinking I had already checked in, he showed exasperation. He even showed frustration when I "incorrectly" refused to put in the card the "correct" way. My card is an old swipe-only type and IC readers won't read it.

Everything was truly incredible - the staff, the room, the price, the location, and especially the shower! Very clean and comfortable, and I had the best night sleep in a long time, probably because of the wonderful shower before that. Just outside of China Town, a big shopping arcade, and the hustle and bustle of Kobe, but perfectly quiet! Plenty of cafes and convenience stores around as well. And just a few meters from the hotel, there was an all vegan sweets shops with incredible waffles! We picked up some to go and had with coffee in the park. Overall, a really wonderful stay, and if we find ourselves back in Kobe, we'll book this hotel again for sure!
