The location was excellent for using public transit. The nearest station was a hub for two different train lines which can take you to either Kyoto Station or even as far as downtown Osaka. The staff were nice and the rooms were about what I expect from a 3 star hotel. The basement lounge was nice when it wasn't full of people. Having the ability to do laundry is also nice.

The Wi-Fi service is incredibly slow here. The beds sit on the floor which might be an issue if you have a problem moving yourself. Otherwise I really had nothing else negative to mention about this hotel.

Overall, I was very pleased with the EN Hotel. We arrived hours before check in but they looked after our bags so we could start exploring Kyoto. The room was not too small despite the fact that I booked a triple room. They provided full size body wash, shampoo, conditioner, as well as tooth brushes, razors, etc. The room was traditional looking and very cute. The location was convenient to both the Kyoto train station (a short Uber away) and certain attractions. We walked to Gion and the Nishiki Market. The optional breakfast box was delicious and ample: three pastries, fruit, salad, and soup. I loved having coffee available in the basement lounge. I would stay here again and recommend the EN Hotel to others.

They needed more outlets for sure. And more pillows; two per bed would have been preferable.

Amazing location, and the most spacious hotel room we’ve had during our two weeks in Japan. The room also had a view, so that was really great. The staff was incredibly kind. They offered us a free welcome drink, and they stored our luggages for a few hours after the check out. Great value for money. About 10-15 minutes walking distance from the Nishiki Market. At least 2-3 convenience stores very close to the hotel.

Toilet seat seemed not to be the perfect size for the toilet, as the lid was always falling on our backs :)) this is not a big problem though, but mentioning it just in case. The air conditioning was dusty. The breakfast is interesting, but probably could use some more diverse foods.

I had a fantastic stay at EN Hotel Kyoto and highly recommend it. The rooms were well-designed and comfortable, providing a relaxing atmosphere after a long day of exploring. The hotel's location was ideal, offering easy access to popular attractions and transportation. The breakfast selection was impressive, with a variety of delicious options to start the day off right. Overall, EN Hotel Kyoto exceeded my expectations and I would gladly stay there again.

One aspect of EN Hotel Kyoto that left me disappointed was the quality of their toiletries. The provided amenities felt subpar and lacked the luxurious touch I expected. The selection and presentation of the toiletries could have been improved to enhance the overall guest experience.

Very nicely decorated property; lovely entrance and reception; a local graffiti artist has given each floors lift exit a different theme; strong modern traditional feel throughout. The lounge space is nice, clean and often deserted. Room was pleasant, and everything worked.

No mention of the “Kyoto Tax” in any of the booking process - apparently everywhere in Kyoto will charge you this, but it’s not included in the booking fee you pay, nor mentioned anywhere. A little extra annoyance when you arrive exhausted and have prepaid the whole stay. Bathroom is functional but needs some attention - all the sealing around the tub and the basin had some red/ pink stain on them - possibly due to the extractor fan not being particularly effective and a bit of mold setting in. Not enough wardrobe space for the size of room, and limited place to dry towels, etc

Reception staffs are courteous. They provide brochures counter for you to refer for travelling tips. Basic amenities provided. Transport is accessible via Railway and bus. We came during October, so the hotel has already out up the Halloween Theme Design.

We stay in a room which consists three beds. However as our luggages are big and the walking space is little (limited), hence that is the only constraint we face. Require at least 30 mins walking distance from Jr Kyoto Station, and the pavement is not flat.

The location was excellent and the design of the hotel was clean, modern, and Japanese. It felt like home! I highly recommend including the breakfast in your booking because it was a convenient way to start the day. We loved the breakfast and free tea/coffee! The staff were so nice.

The air conditioning unit may need to be cleaned.

The staff is extremely polite and helpful. The breakfast is very simple but it was good enough as they prepare the breakfast in the morning itself, so it was hot and fresh. There are many convenient shops and restaurants around the hotel.

The walk to the train station is quite a long walk for older folks.

Love the staffs... they are hand down helpful and excellent. They upgraded our room. Nice lounge, clean room. Prime location. Near Pokemon Center.

For some reason after we flushed the toilet, it sounded like an angry river for awhile. Very loud noise. A bit disturbing... but it will stop after awhile. Just mentality be ready for it.

The staff are all friendly and nice, and the hotel is clean. I like the Japanese style room they have, bed on the floor is safer for my little children. Free tea and coffee are awesome. The location itself is nearby tourist attractions and train station. This is an awesome place to stay in.
