Check-in with the cute dinosaurus was a breeze. Breakfast spread was appropriate, the taste is great. Hotel location is so convenient to bus bay for day tour and KIX airport limo bus. Is just a 5 mins walk to Kyoto station to take subway, train or shinkansen. Check-out was a simple and easy process.

There is no water dispenser. Although there's a kettle in the room, I could only get hot water and wait for it to cool down. Hotel can consider installing hot/room/cold water dispenser in a common area. Then, provide each room with a water canister for guest to do own refilling and remove the need for a kettle.

Dinosaurs welcome you at the entrance, humanless checkin and especially checkout was super easy, room was incredibly spacious, bathroom was big, there was a sink and huge mirror which is great for make up. Table in front of beds were huge. We were very surprised with the quality of amenities and how spacious room was overall. Kyoto station was 2 min away by walking, nothing to say location-wise. If we knew how good it was, we would book Henn na in every city we could. This is an amazing hotel for all introverts.

It was a bit expensive for Kyoto but understandable with all the amenities, big room and great location. Room had a small urine smell coming from the toilets, we were able to overcome and didn't told staff because our stay was short. Checkin process could be better, I have 2 names and you needed to enter both names for checkin but it doesn't give enough instructions to enter full name and asks for staff ASAP without asking to try second time.

Excellent location, just a 3 minute walk from Kyoto Station. Just around the corner there’s a Seven Eleven. Friendly Staff always available when reaching in case Robots couldn’t do the checkin (sometimes it happen when there are special characters on passport). There’s a laundry room with two machines, it’s not free but very convenient. Check out was a breeze, and fully automated.

There’s only one pillow and it’s not very comfortable. Bed was a bit hard to sleep on, but nothing major. There was a bit of dust on WC and Shower ventilation square.;

location of the hotel is very good. it is right next to Kyoto train station. Also, there is a Lawson and 7-11 just around the corner. We did not order any breakfast, so we can't say if breakfast is good or not. There are many restaurants open in the morning (Hoshino and Inoda cafe in the train station). Or, Coffee Kan on the other side of the train station (require some walking).

The hotel is right next to the train station, so it is obvious you will hear the trains passing by. We lived on the 8th floor, it did not cause any issue at all.

The hotel's location is truly a standout feature, offering easy access to both Kyoto Station and a nearby shopping mall, making it incredibly convenient for travelers. Additionally, the convenience of a 7-11 store just a 3-minute walk away was a major plus. The room itself was spotlessly clean, and the attention to cleanliness and hygiene was evident throughout my stay. It's always a relief to find a room that feels fresh and well-maintained. I couldn't have asked for a more comfortable and enjoyable stay. Highly recommended!

I booked this hotel that met my needs. It had seperate 2 single beds available (which for me, was hard to find). It's very close to Kyoto Station which was great to travel to places such as Nishiki Market, Fushimi Inari Taisha, Nara and around 30 minute to Osaka. There were shopping centres that are walkable. They had Daiso, Don Quixote and others stores that you might need. It had coin washing machines that I needed at my stay. I came back after the whole day with new towels and made up beds which I wasn't expecting and great service. The check in process was simple. I did needed assistance which the staff kindly helped. The check out was very easy which was using the machine to give back the key card, that was it.

The dinosaurs of course! Beds are comfortable and although the hotel is really close to the train station it was really quiet. If you travel alone, it is worth booking a twin or double room rather than a single room as they are almost at the same price, and way bigger. (We had one phiten single room and one twin)

Some dust on the bed head, and if the sound proofing with the street/train station is good, it is not as good between rooms, but it was quiet anyway.

Location is great-just down the street from the main Shinkansen (Bullet-train) and local train station. It's on the quieter side of the station with several hotels and a shopping center nearby but only a 15 minute walk to the more active side where there are plenty of restaurants and stores. Room and bed were very clean and comfortable and bathroom was interesting. There was a separate bathtub/shower enclosure that was excellent with plenty of hot water. Lobby is clean and front desk is "staffed" with two robotic dinosaurs, but there are humans nearby if any questions arise.

The fan/heater was challenging to operate and that made temperature regulation difficult. The remote to operate the system is all in Japanese and the supplied "translation" instructions should be more specific.

Check in with dinosaurs was a fun and unique experience. The staff was super helpful with everything we needed. There were multiple choices for breakfast so you could switch not to get bored with eating the same thing every day. All in all, a great experience.

Only one downside I can think of is that the sound of running water (I think that was it) from other rooms was quite audible - if you're a light sleeper that may be a problem if rooms above you are occupied, since then those sounds could continue late into the night.

Breakfast was a small selection buffet in a small setting. Must let them know and pay the day before to eat breakfast. Very convenient to eat and go back up to your room to finish getting ready. The Hollywood Room was spacious and the location was a short walk to Kyoto Station, 7-11, and Don Q.

Expensive coin laundry (2 washer/dryer combos) that do not dry clothes very well. The breakfast buffet selection was small.
