Amazing customer service by Front Desk and Housekeeping team. Great thanks to the restaurant team for putting up an excellent breakfast buffet every morning and working tirelessly when it got busy. We loved the breakfast options as my partner is vegan and there was a massive selection everyday. Amenities in the lobby were very handy and useful throughout our stay.

A bicycle parking space could have been better. Pillows were hard to sleep on. If there are two people sleeping on a bed and both of them needs soft pillow then it becomes tricky to have a comfy sleep. Our bed had one hard pillow and one soft which gave one of us neck sprain.

It was 2 connecting room set up given we were a family of 4, much to our pleasant surprise. Therefore, space was not an issue. The location was great, and within walking distance to Kyoto station. Breakfast was fine as well, choices were adequate. I would consider staying at fresa inn again and in other cities as well.

We found a very small cockroach after returning to the room on the 2nd night. Decided against informing the hotel staff, but tried to catch it ourselves. It disappeared into the space behind the TV. That was a tiny tinge of disappointment, but overall we are still satisfied with the stay and the rooms. Do note that the housekeeping is on day 3 (day of check in is considered day 0) only. However, you can still notify or request the housekeeping staff to collect garbage and change towels every day, they are happy to do so.

Wonderful location...few minutes walk from Kyoto station, behind the Avanti mall. Lawson conveniently next door. The staff were wonderful and breakfast was sumptuous and served by a pleasant team of women who kept replenishing the vast and varied buffet. Loved the iced macha latte and other options from the dispensers. The breakfast menu is displayed beautifully in the elevators too! The sheet masks and other toiletries were made available at the foyer and were of very good quality. You could borrow phone chargers, hair irons etc. Rooms were airy and full of light with black-out curtains. Spectacularly clean and welcoming!

Situated fairly close to Kyoto Station, which can be reached by walking the street or through the underground passage connecting the station to the nearby shopping mall. Reasonable price, great range of food for breakfast. There are 2 coin-operated wash&dry laundry machines on the ground floor, which was very handy. The room & bathroom were clean, if a little dated. The shower had great water pressure, and it was great for massaging tired muscles after a long day exploring.

The shower unit was a shower-over-bath with quite high sides (I assume because it wasn't very long, so needed to be deeper), which made it a bit difficult as a shorter person to get in and out. It also meant there was only a shower curtain rather than a glass door to enclose the tub, so the room got a bit steamy before the extractor cleared it.

Very close to train station, just one street away, combini just downstairs. Very friendly staff and great communication. We arrived early and staff helped to store our luggage immediately. I had booked another Sotetsu hotel down the street but had to cancel last min as I booked the wrong dates. I called the front desk and he was so helpful. He could also understand me perfectly is the reason why i booked this hotel as the original hotel was full. Room was a good size at 15m2, there is enough space for my husband and I, and we could fully open 2 mid-sized luggage.

Great location, right by the Kyoto train station and a shopping mall. Really friendly staff. Check in and check out process was super easy through a kiosk. Had toiletries available for free use. Bed was comfy and room was a good size.

Bathroom sink was weirdly over the shower area which made it hard to pull through shower curtain across. This meant that when we showered the sink and mirror got covered in water. Not the end of the world but a bit of a design flaw!

Location was excellent. Very close to station. Easily accessible. Convenience store just round the corner too. Staff was excellent. Clean and relatively spacious as compared to other hotels of similar price. They even provided bath salts and masks which was such a delight after a long exhausting day.

Amenities were limited to 1 person per room however free amenities were available to take from reception including hair irons and curlers!

Staff were super polite and very professional. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Location is exceptional. 15 mins walk to Aeon mall, 5 min walk to Kyoto Avanti, and 10 min walk to Kyoto Stn. Definitely would book this hotel if i visit Kyoto again in the future.

Great location near South exit of Kyoto station. Beds were slightly wider than twin size, and comfortable with great duvees. Nice quality toiletries.

Combination washer/dryers seemed to struggle to get clothes dry, and with only two of them there was a wait during peak periods. Breakfast buffet (1200y extra) didn't have all items listed in sample menu in elevator (i.e. was missing bacon).
