The hostel is very well organized, as is usuall in Japan everuthing is so clean, they give the service of laundry with a very good price, they keep your luggage if you arrive early or leave Kyoto later of the check out. Th hostel is very close to the Kyoto station wich is very important if you have to take some trains or another public transportation as subway and busses. We had a very good experience with this hostel, definitely If I come back to Kyoto I would book again here
We had a very bad experience with a woman of the reception at the moment of the check in she told me an amount of money different of my reservation in booking, I told her that my reservation was very clear and it indicates all the taxes, she started to be so rude and nonpolite, I told her that I was upset with her attitude and she just said "you can complain if you want" this is not normal in Japan where the people is very friendly and polite but this woman was the exception, bad experience

Common spaces are really nice - there's a kitchen with all you need and enough space to have a meal, there's a small garden and a terrace. Everything is well maintained and regularly cleaned (kitchen, bathrooms and toilets get cleaned many times a day). Staff members are all friendly and helpful. Hostel is close to Kyoto station, but quietly tucked away in a small back alley. The room is small, but exactly as in the description and pictures shown. We would definitely choose again, only it was a little pricey due to new years holidays.

The best hostel I stayed! The staff amazing and everyone were very friendly! They organize games nights and even had a Christmas party 🎄🎅🏽 There is a lot of information provided on the walls (like markets date and location, and recommendations) Super clean, comfortable and good value for money. I took a single room which had a sink which made getting ready so easy. The showers are on the first floor, and the towels are just next to them so you could take as many as you needed. The location- just next to Kyoto station, you can easily get there and get everywhere you need to.
This is very minor but the electric outlet next to the bed was just a bit above the middle of the bed- this means that if I would move a lot at night the plug would get out…

Great location —it's less than a 10-minute walk away from Kyoto station, but the area feels very quiet and there are convenience stores around. The hostel itself looks very new and modern, with two really nice terraces. I stayed in the female dormitory on the third floor and the bunk beds were very comfortable and quite spacious. Everything was spotless, including the showers. Small things like having coffee and tea available for free at any time, plus the Dyson hairdryers made the whole stay even better.
There was a simple breakfast option for a very reasonable price, but it'd have been nice if the hostel actually had a café in it with other food/drink options.

We were so pleasantly surprised - this was our favorite stay in Japan. We stayed at 3 different accommodations and despite not having a private attached bathroom we really loved this stay. The best sleep we had all trip with the most comfortable beds! Bathrooms were the nicest and cleanest too! Plus the kitchen amenities were helpful. Location is fabulous too being such a short walk from Kyoto Station.
There wasn’t really anything we didn’t like! Warning to talk people though - my bf is 6’3 and struggled with the bed length but if was very doable!

OMG, you guys! I just had a fantastic time at Piece Hostel Kyoto! 🎉😍 Okay, so first off, this place is like, totally cool! As soon as I walked in, I was like, "Whoa, am I in the right place?" It's super stylish and clean, not at all what I thought a hostel would be like. The staff? They're awesome! 👍 They were always ready to help and had the best tips for exploring Kyoto. Now, let's talk about the rooms. I scored this awesome private room with an extra large bed, and it was like, totally amazing! 😍 It felt super fancy, like I was in some cool hotel. The bed was HUGE and so comfy, I practically melted into it every night. It was perfect for starfishing after a long day of exploring Kyoto! The room was super clean and had everything I needed. It was like my own little oasis in the middle of the city. And the best part? I didn't have to share with anyone! 🙌 It was so nice to have my own space to chill and recharge after all the sightseeing. The common areas are where it's at, though. There's this chill lounge where you can hang out, meet other travelers, and swap stories. Oh, and the location? It's da bomb! 💣 You're super close to Kyoto Station, which means you can get anywhere in the city easily. 5-10mim walk. Close to a 7/11 & the Avanti building. Plus, there are tons of cool shops and restaurants nearby. I may have spent way too much on matcha-flavored everything... #noregrets One more thing - they have free tea and coffee all day! ☕ Caffeine addicts, rejoice! So, if you're heading to Kyoto and want a place that's fun, friendly, and won't break the bank, Piece Hostel is where it's at! Trust me, it's lit! 🔥 P.S. Don't forget to check out their rooftop area. It's the perfect spot for those Insta-worthy sunset pics! 📸🌅 #PieceHostelKyoto #BestTripEver

TBH, I didn't expect this hostel to be that luxurious for that price. Lol (for solo backpacker's pov)
It gets a little hot once I fully close the curtain, and the air conditioner can't make it there for sure, so I just open half the curtain and my shirt. 😅

Great location, just a 5-10 minute walk from the train station, making it super convenient. There’s also a LUUP stand right next to the hostel, perfect for renting bikes and exploring the area. The staff is excellent… fluent in English, very helpful, and proactive. I had a minor foot injury during my stay, and they went above and beyond to assist me. They helped set up an appointment with a doctor and provided detailed options for nearby hospitals, which was incredibly reassuring. The hostel itself is well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, and the staff truly stands out for their efficiency and friendliness. A highlight of my stay was the game night.. playing Mario Kart with others was so much fun! The hostel has a warm and social atmosphere. Highly recommend staying here!

The beds were very comfortable! And the fact you could help yourself to pillows, towels, and slippers is so nice, especially when you're absolutely jetlagged and can't be bothered to talk to someone at 2am. The location is INCREDIBLE, having the station just around the corner and a number of konbinis in walking distance. The coffee and tea provided were excellent, the only thing better being the staff and how much care they put into your stay! The communal area and vibe was also wonderful, I love that they really create an environment for everyone to get to know each other in!
The water in the bath/showers never really get hot. Definitely warm enough to get clean, but not hot enough to relax or tend to sore muscles. The bathtub also has a very odd smell...and it comes directly from the drain, which also fills the bathroom with cold air? Very strange. The showers, thankfully, are a separate room, and very, very clean!
