Noku Kyoto

Excellent hotel overall. They provide a useful map of the local area showing restaurants and shops. Very good location for the palace grounds and directly above a metro station (Exit 4), although there are quite a few stairs to negotiate via that route. Rooms at the back of the hotel were certainly quiet enough. Handy location with a FamilyMart store right next door and buses close by. Excellent, foreigner-friendly, sushi restaurant (Shigetomi) just two minutes walk.

Breakfast is provided in a cafe in the foyer of the building. Sadly, it was a bit haphazard and not their finest element. Service could be improved here.

Pros- clean and modern hotel with great cafe. The location is central and great if you plan to visit the popular monuments. There is a subway stop right next to the hotel so it is very accessible. Overall great value.

We liked everything except we found our room to be very hot. There was little ventilation and the ceiling vent was quite dusty. Staff from the front desk came promptly to open the window for us since it required a tool and this helped the air flow.

Excellent location! Next to 24hrs Family Mart and Sukiya, (an affordable cafe that serves 3 meals), walking distance to imperial palace and Kyoto garden. Near Nishiki market. Elegant room with spacious and bright corridor. Room was elegant, spacious and a lovely touch of traditional kyoto. Really like all the bathroom amenities and coffee/tea with snacks! This will be my hotel as from now!

Nothing really except they forgot to clear my trash bags next to the bin 🙄

Spacious room and facilities. We had a studio with sitting area and kitchen - ette. Very lovely. The bathroom had 3 areas. Vanity and sink, toilet cubicle and bath-shower wet room. Plenty of towels, toiletries and pyjama gown to wear.

Nothing really though we were there 5 days and found the breakfast choice repetitive. Good quality but not enough variation.

Very spacious room, great location, complimentary mini bar and friendly staff.

Bed was very hard and pillows were uncomfortable. Sound proofing wasn’t the best as could hear the trains from the room.

Amazing amenities and truly beautiful place, not like most mainstream hotel designs. Felt very unique.

A little loud from traffic at the corner. Windows could not be opened.

Clean room with good facilities. Very local to the imperial palace but a little way out from the main shopping and restaurant areas. It is however next door to a tube station.

Roomy for 3 people. Nice long table.  Right next to the train station, bus station, and convenience store.  Water fountain which is rare in hotel in Japan.

Very comfortable stay in our favourite city in Japan

Al good but location meant a lot of walking to most places although we knew this when we booked

Breakfast was not good value. Too much too expensive.
