A good location (15 min. on foot to the castle), nice, helping staff (they ran outside to lead us to the parking place and helped to fix the mistake in my booking). Plenty of amenities, robes, slippers, some tea and a boiler in the room. It is not new, but it is nice looking, comfortable and extremely well kept. Very(!) good option for a small price! Breakfast is also offered for a decent price (partly self-service).

Staff speaks almost no English, so Googletranslate is a must! Parking lots are further away and difficult to find. We found some cob-webs on the lamps, and one lamp was not working. But these are minor minuses and I do recommend to stay there!:-)

Very conveniently location outside of Matsumoto station, surrounded by good places to eat and shop. The free rental bikes are great for exploring the town and going to Mastumoto Castle, just make sure you ask for them at the front desk.

It would have been great to get some information about the amenities and availability of the rental bikes when I checked in.

It’s right at the Matsumoto J R station and just 15-20’s minute walk to get to the Matsumoto castle. The room is quite good, with necessary equipments. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Tasty breakfast with big volume. They serve optional Japanese set meal or western style breakfast. Beef curry is good and you can eat as much as you like😄

Wifi is low in the room but they lend a router

The hotel is right next to the station and it offers bikes you can rent for free. The room was simple but clean, and I think quite typical for Japanese business hotels. Good enough if you want to comfortably explore Matsumoto and surroundings on a budget.

My room was facing out to the street. The pedestrian crossing there makes a lot of noise when it turns green. It stops around 11 pm and starts again around 6 am, so if you are sensitive to sound, this is something you might need to consider.

Location. Walking distance to JR station and airport bus service. Also within a 20 minute walk to castle. A special mention to Front desk for their help with particularly to Yamanoto for her cheerful assistance. Also to the kitchen staff for their lovely breakfasts.

Facilities, although functional, rather ‘tired’ compared to other similarly priced hotels.

The hotel is only a 2-3 minute walk from Matsumoto Station. There are many convenience stores and restaurants in the area. The breakfast was nice and the staff was kind.

There wasn't a comb. Usually, the other hotels place it and other amenities around the reception area, but I couldn't find any in such an area or in the room.

The location was incredible, it was so close to the station, literally less than 5min walk away. There were also many food options available less than 5min away. Matsumoto was wonderful, I wanted to stay longer.

very convenient stay. extremely close to Matsumoto station, convenience stores, restaurants, etc. within easy walking distance to the main attractions of Matsumoto Castle, Nawate-dori, etc.

we booked a smoking room and the bed itself smelt like cigarette smoke. the room needed to be aired out quite a bit.

The location is excellent. Walking distance from/to JR Matsumoto station and 7-eleven downstairs, as well as many restaurants. The breakfast is very nice and definitely recommended! Since we were catching an early train, the staff kindly started our breakfast at 6:45 (normally it's 7:00-9:30).
