Hotel Montagne Matsumoto

Very close to main train station but still not too noisy. Bedrooms are very small but clean and pleasant for a few nights. Shower is good and bathroom clean. It was great to have bikes provided by the hotel to explore the city. Very handy!

Beds and pillows aren’t very comfortable and breakfast buffet could have more time flexibility as it’s too short (7:30 to 9:00am).

The location was great as it was close to the train station, super market & restaurants. Beds were comfortable and staff we very friendly and helpful. They also had free bicycles that we borrowed each day that allowed us to explore further than we could have on foot.

The pillows were uncomfortable.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. a special thank you to the cleaning staff, who always greeting friendly and helped, when I locked myself out of the room. The location is great. You can see the hotel from the train station and it’s really just a couple of meters. We had a beautiful Mountain View from our room. The breakfast was fine with many options. I especially liked the apple juice.

I have no complaints.

Friendly staff! Accommodating! Free-use bicycles (first come first served)! Great location on the quiet side of the station, close to main attractions, microbreweries, the castle, and historic streets. Also the shower water pressure could strip the skin off an elephant! Adjust according :)

Location was great, next to the station bus and train and the town centre.

No place to sit, only one chair in the room and no real communal place other than reception which was not really set up for sitting around.

Clean, very close to the station. Nice facilities. Proper hotel with superb price.

The power tripped while we used the rooms hair dryer. Caused quite a stir at first but staff were quick to react to rectify it and replaced a new hairdryer right after

Great location, next to Matsumoto station. Great view of the mountains from my fifth floor room. Restaurants within walking distance. One of the larger hotel rooms I’ve had in Japan. Hot shower.

The bed and pillow was not as comfortable as I’m used to having.

The location is near the station. They will assist in luggage forwarding to our next hotel in Toyama as we did the Tateyama Alpine route. But the luggage will arrive the next day.

Room size is pretty nice. Location is great! Bed is quite comfortable. Staff was responsive in email prior to coming. Very polite.

The rom was nice and the bath was large enough to relax in even for a taller guest. Standard Japanese style breakfast buffet was tasty. The staff was very nice and proactive!
