This is a really cool hotel right in the center of Nagoya. It's certainly better than regular business hotels in Japan since it has its theme of books and everything related. Nice and cozy cafe on the first floor, the fact that you need to go through a library to get to the elevator, couple of books in the shelves in the rooms - everything is well thought through! The rooms are slightly bigger than usual business hotels, so that's a plus too. It's a walkable distance from Nagoya station, and Fujimi subway station is couple of meters from the hotel. Overall, I certainly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Nagoya, and I will stay here again should I visit the city again.

Book themed hotel, with a small library in the lobby (and a cafe) and also a reading chair in the room, which I loved. Everything is clean, staff is very friendly and location is pretty good (1 station away from Nagoya main station with a very short walk). If you get a room with a window to the front, you'll actually get a pretty nice view (I was close to the top floor and that was quite nice). You'll enjoy your stay there even if you don't like to read.

Nothing much to complain about. Maybe the doors could be more sound proof, but then again guests didn't make a lot of noise in the corridor.

I had a room with a balcony and the view was very nice. I actually didn't have time to read the books but I loved the option to do so and the general accommodations around that. I was very comfortable staying at this property; my bed was comfortable and I liked the 24 hour cafe downstairs. Staff spoke mainly Japanese (me and my friends also speak Japanese so no issues). I was overall pleasantly surprised with the quality of the accommodations for the really good price I payed. Would stay here again!

I really didn't like those breakfast sliders. The flavor combinations were a bit strange and I'd rather just go to a nearby konbini and get something better.

As soon as we approached the hotel we knew it was going to be a great experience. My wife is a librarian and we were greeted by walls of books right from the entrance as well as lovely staff who offered us a free hot drink as we were staying multiple nights. We appreciated how close the room was to the lift due to my wife's mobility issues. The room itself was cosy with lots of surface space to organise our belongings and multiple light options for different times of day which we found helpful. The shower and toileting facilities were clean and easy to use including the wall panel controls for the toilet. The room was snug but there were still lots of places to sit. The hotel itself is a short walk away from a nearby station which is only 1 stop from Nagoya station and theres plenty of convenience stores nearby.

We found the bed to be a little hard which was fine for me but my wife struggled with it a little due to her mobility issues.

The room was small, and clean but had just enough space for my carry on suitcase, and a backpack. The room had everything that I needed: wifi, kettle, and clothes hanger and a small rack. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. The room lighting options were nice as were the climate controls. Breakfast was a choice of 2 sliders of the daily variety plus one drink. While it's not as fancy of those hotels at the same price point that have breakfast buffet, it was fine for what I needed. There was also a laundry room, which is great for those who pack light. They will also hold your bags before check-in and after check-out. The location was good, walkable to and from the station although slightly far, but also easy access to the metro. I also found it easy to walk to and from Sakae. The area is safe and outside the busy areas.

There wasn't much that I didn't like. Maybe it would have been nice to have a bathtub but the shower was still very nice. There wasn't a lot of surface area in the bathroom and could have used one more towel hook or shelf (in addition to the under-sink shelf) to put clothes. There is one bar to hang the towel that is on the shower door, but if you open the door while the shower is on (for example, if you are waiting for the shower to warm up), your towel will get while.

This is out second time staying here and our go to in Nagoya. This hotel formed the basis for the rest of our hotel stay throughout Japan on our recent trip. (We stayed at the sister hotel in Hakata, Fukuoka, and its related.in Ginza, Tokyo) as part of the Solare group of hotel chain. The room is tight but clean. The hotel has a youthful, hip vibe and is located within walking distance and is almost accessible entirely through a series of interconnecting heated sub-way retail malls. The interconnected underground malls enabled convenient access to the hotel on foot even through inclement weather conditions such as rain (which we experienced) and/or snow. The hotel room we stayed at definitely represented value for money for brief visits, short overnight stays.

The place looks fantastic. There's a nice coworking/library area on the ground floor with coffee, nice cold drinks and sandwiches available (there's also a combini in 50 meters in case you need something at night). Room was very clean, quiet and nicely decorated with books. We had a room in the corner of the building, so we had both panoramic view to the park and view to the city. Everything at the room works as expected, there's a nice chair to read before going to bed. Hotel provides all the amenities including hair comb, razor, toothbrush, etc. Hotel is within 15 minutes walk from the Shinkansen station and lively area with a lot of options to eat.

Double "Moderate" room is pretty compact – there's about 20-30 cm between beds and the opposite wall. There're no block out curtains, so if your room faces east, be ready to wake up early with the bright sun coming up.

Of the four places I stayed during my time in Japan, this was probably my favorite. It was a very nice room with nice amenities. It was a little cramped, but that seems to just be Japan, especially for the price. The breakfast was excellent and the reading room at the lower level, though as far as I could tell were entirely books written in Japanese, provided a wonderful atmosphere.

The only real flaw I could think of was that the room was small, but for the price in Japan, even in Nagoya, I don't think you can expect much bigger. The laundry also only took 100 yen coins, which is a bit annoying, but the people at the front desk seem more than happy to make change.

The hotel is close to the subway station (maybe around 3-5 minute walk), which is one station away from the Main Nagoya Station. Thus, very convenient to travellers, even with luggage. The hotel has a cafe and a library at the lobby. Guests are allowed to borrow two (2) books while staying at the hotel. Rooms, which is common (I think) in Japan, is kind of small. Maybe, if you’re a backpacker or with small luggage, two (2) people can stay in one room. But it would be more convenient for one person to stay in a room. Rooms are also clean, well lit, with an air purifier, and a couch area. bathrooms are equipped with toiletries, i.e., shampoo, conditioner, handsoap, body wash. Other toiletries like toothbrush, hairbrush, etc. Are at the ground flr elevator. The hotel has nearby restaurants, Donki, convenient stores.

None, everything was excellent

Stylish Jap-Scandi boutique hotel with cleverly designed rooms. Our moderate double overlooked the park, had enough storage for luggage and an armchair beside the.sliding doors of a tiny balcony. Beds comfy (one side against the wall) and bathroom was super clean. Coin laundry on ground floor. Bookshop/cafe creates a homely reception area. Staff could not do enough to make you feel welcome. Loved it!

Sad to say the great design does not extend to blackout blinds. Rooms facing the park which is lovely also face the sunrise (4.30 am summer). Maybe bring an eyeshade. There is an ice machine and microwave on 2nd floor so rooms here might be noisy. Would be nice if some foreign language books were on a lower shelf for non Japanese guests as the ladder is a bit of a hazard. We used it anyway!
