The room was pretty big and they have a kitchenette with an induction cooker, electric kettle, refrigerator, and microwave. The hotel's also around 5 mins away from Tanimachi Yonchome Station and around 10-15 minutes to both the Osaka Museum of History and Osaka Castle. There are also a lot of convenience stores nearby and also a nearby grocery store (Kohyo Uchihommachi). Last but not least, loved the friendly staff. They made everything from check-in to check-out smooth and quick.

The room we were in smelled a little bad, but this could be because we stayed in a room where smoking is allowed. Probably best to check with the staff if you could be assigned to a non-smoking room. Also, daily housekeeping I believe is optional and with a cost. This wasn't really an issue for me, but just a heads-up.

Love how friendly the front desk is! We arrived around 11am despite knowing our check-in time was at 3pm, but the front desk was kind enough to check us in early due to the room being ready. It's quite dated, not gonna lie, but it's comfortable and cosy! The kitchen was super handy as we were on a budget and so we made breakfast and dinner at home. I love love love the balcony - we were on the 8th floor, but despite that, still a nice view looking down at people going about their way. The separate rooms gave me and my friend ample privacy and space and there was a small take-away vegan-friendly shop right beside it! Packed a meal before heading to Tokyo and eating it in the Shinkansen. It was amazing. Cannot recommend this place enough and will surely come back again when I have the opportunity! :-)

Because it's pretty dated, the front door keeps creaking whenever we open the door. My friend and I joked that it needs a WD40 lubricant pronto but other than that, we had a nice stay. We couldn't hear our neighbours and that's always a plus.

It’s clean, with good bed foam / pillow, has complete amenities (hot shower, heater, bath tub, stove, utensils, cooking wares, microwave, dining table, refrigerator, washing machine, coin laundromat, shoe rack, etc.), it’s around 3 mins walk to tanimachi-4-chome, has lots of restaurants and convenience stores nearby, quiet neighborhood and the room is quite sound proof. The room that we got (superior twin bedroom — free upgrade from standard thanks to booking.com) is very spacious too. We have three large luggages and we were able to open them all at the same time without compromising our actions / movements around the room. The staff are also very nice, polite and helpful. The hotel doesn’t have a curfew and we were able to easily contact staff via intercom during our late check in. They also allowed our luggage to be stored on the day of our check out. Thank you, we really had a great stay in your place… we loved it so much that we already miss our room. We will surely book with you again. P.S. we had packages sent before and during our stay and the ones sent before are already in our room when we checked in… the ones that arrived during our stay were stored at the reception and we received little notes by our door for each of them ☺️

The room is ideal for family... highly recommended. Staff are very helpful its like a second home in OSAKA. The laundry and dryer at the ground floor is really very convenient. Lots of restaurants nearby and the nearest station is just 4-5 mins by foot. Also we were surprised to know that OSAKA CASTLE is very closeby we were planning to even take a cab (since it wouldnt be that costly as it is few minutes away. But the staff advised us to just take a walk and it was really a great suggestion).

NOT SPOTLESS as per Japan standard thgat we know off (but that can be overlooked). There are dust in the overhead cabinets and kitchen exhaust that may have been sitting there for quite some time. We decided not to cook since it might spread in the room (and we dont have time to cook either heheh) An.yways were always out early and the most convenient way is to grab something from the nearby convenience stores. We always forget to tell this to the staff since were always arriving late. And we are in a hurry during the checkout and its raining (we have to get the taxi ourselves). But the rest is perfect, my family is loving the heated toilet seats and the free amenities.

I really loved this hotel-apartment! Came here with my family of 2 adults & 2 kids. Booked last minute, and got the 3-room apartment for 4+3 adults at a very reasonable price! After staying for 5 nights, we really felt at home with all the facilities. House was immaculately clean, beds were comfortable. Highly recommended!

The wardrobe was a little old but i'm totally fine with it. The single elevator was a bit too slow but still beats having to climb stairs.

The room is big enough compare the other hotel in Japan. The location is just perfect, 5 mins walking distance to nearest train station and 15min walking distance to Osaka Castle. The kitchen is good enough for us to do simple dish. The staff is so friendly and easy to communicate. We also leave our luggage before the checkin time.

It was centrally located close to everything that we wanted to see. It was within walking distance to Osaka Castle and close to the metro. We had our own little neighbourhood park which was full of Cherry trees in full bloom for our entire stay. The staff were amazing and very friendly and helpful.

It didn’t have a sofa to sit on, so after a month of sitting on the dining chairs my back was a bit sore. The mattress was also a bit harder than what I am used to.

As a regular guest at this hotel in the last 30 years, I want to praise the staff's attitude which is so friendly, professional and helpful at all times. The location is superb and strategic (tube, buses, supermarkets all a stone away). The facilities are superb covering any little need of a traveller. EVERYTHING AT HOTEL MYSTAYS OTEMAE IS SIMPLY PERFECT !!!

The rooms were big enough for our suitcases and we especially liked having a kitchen and a washing machine. It's a five-minute walk to the nearest metro station and Osaka Castle is about a 20-minute walk from the hotel. Overall, we were very pleased with this hotel.

The interior is a bit dull and could use a bit of colour. The hotel was also a bit difficult to find at first.

As a frequent traveller to Osaka in the last 25 years, I can't stay anywhere else but in My Stays Otemae. Location is most strategic, very quiet, in front of a main subway and with many restaurants, various shops and mini and supermarkets around. Rooms are spacious with any imaginable facility. The cleanness is outstanding. The staff are extremely polite and helpful. The "must stay" in Osaka.

There is absolutely nothing to complain about.
