Convenient walk from Shinjuku station. Seconds from the Metropolitan government bldg observation deck. Close to everything. Hotel showing a bit of wear. Bed comfy, great shower and products. Forwarded our luggage for us to Osaka.. Would definitely stay again.

Room a little dirty....walls, hair in bathroom

The breakfast was good with nice view. The room was clear with many windows. Staffs are helpful and could speak English.

The hotel was quite difficult to find if you are not familiar with Shinjuku station/area, specifically on weekend evening when underpasses are closed. It took us 1h to find the hotel on Saturday night under the rain 😞.

Location is good, but signs/directions to the hotel is not enough from the subway station. Check-in, check-out processes are fast and very professional. Rooms is quiet from outside, yet noise damper between rooms need improvement.

Our first twin room was very small, not enough space to place two full size suit cases on the floor. One of our suit case needed to be place on a small writing table, without any passage to access our beds ! We then upgraded to a bigger room at additional costs.

The location was perfect for the start of the Tokyo Marathon. Corral K/L is across the street. We stayed in room 2049 with a beautiful view of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building. The Italian restaurant in the lower level was perfect for my pre race meal of pasta. There are a few Japanese restaurants in the lower level. The elevators were quick. The metro station entrance is a few steps from hotel's back exit. The Airport bus stops right in front. We had a great stay and would definitely recommend this hotel.

The Baron breakfast buffet was just ok. The food was not very tasty although it looked very good from a distance. lol! They did have a nice variety of breakfast items. You can find better and cheaper "Japanese" style breakfast restaurants a short walk from hotel.

Conveniently located in the Shinjuku business district, about 10 min on foot from Shinjuku Station South Gate. Many convenience stores in the area (FamilyMart, Seven-11, coffee shops, etc). Smooth checkin procedure, go to the 3rd floor! Scale in the reception to check your luggages before going to the airport. Stop point for Limousine Bus to/from Haneda or Narita (pay attention to the times, the 1st one to Haneda is at ~09.00 for example). Coin laundry said to be available, but it was non-working when I stayed (not indicated in the website). Rooms can be small and with luggage it can be a space challenge, for 2 people make sure to get a room with at least 20m2. Did not try at this time the breakfast or other amenities.

The website does not indicate that the coin laundry facility is non-operational. The main building and the so-called Annex are different, be careful to book the one you want.

Very clean, very good location, staff very helpful, cleaners showed a lot of care and respect.

Two negatives, one being that my room had no hair dryer, this seems to be a normal thing anywhere I’ve gone. My biggest problem was that the room had no aircon? The little dial had low, medium, high. We assumed this was fan speed and soon found out when we got back to our room at it was 30 degrees that this was in fact heating. Even with the heater off the coolest our room seemed to get was 23-24 degrees. The room was very warm at night and they gave rather thick sheets. It’s not a big deal as I could sleep without a blanket but some would struggle.

The location is great and just a ¥600 ride to or from Shinjuku station if you are tired from walking all day. there is a Lawson convenient store where you can buy t-shirts, socks and underwear if you run out. it’s also close to Oedo Line’s Tocho-mae station.

Washington Hotel is old and has definitely seen better days. Still it felt clean and comfortable. I do wish they renewed the hotel rooms to come up to standards like Square hotel as the price is almost the same. It’s also very easy to hear your neighbors talking in the hallways.

Lots of great restaurants near this hotel! Primarily wanted to see the Cherry Blossom trees and we were pleased how they were located all over city. The breakfast buffet had both Western and Japanese foods and lots of variety. The location was easily accessible to many tourist attractions. The Shinjuku Train Station was crazy busy and a challenge to get around. The hotel room was small, but adequate for our needs. Overall, I would stay at this hotel again!

I forgot how small Japanese hotel rooms can be and I would reserve a larger room next time! Didn't spend much time in the room, but I would have preferred a larger room.

Unbeatable price for any similar hotels in Shinjuku, especially with Airport shuttle bus stop by the door! Convenient facilities, check in and check out are very efficient, we have big luggage and ski bags, hotel has no problem of keeping them before our arrival and after checking out (within one day for check out). The nearby Tokyo Metropolitan Building is highly recommended, there is a viewing deck (free admission) on level 45, also a tourism info can provide volunteer tour guide service at the reception (booking required)

The window is very small, we were staying a triple room but felt it was smaller than the twin room we stayed in other hotel (it would be better if the bedsides can be moved around so the beds can be aligned together) ... Does not really matter if you only need a place to have a rest
