It’s about the location, helpful staff and cleanliness of the room and premises.

Small room than expected. While the room is clean, my son got multiple insect (bed bug?) bites during our 2nd night and discovered the next morning. We suspect the bug was under the bed or the tiny gap from bed to wall. The bite marks are still on his legs too after a month though not itchy anymore :( Room is clean but sometimes can smell a bit of cigarette. Not sure how come.

the Wing International Yotsuya is very well located, one block away from one of the main Tokyo subway lines (Marunouchi line), it was really easy for us to go anywhere in Tokyo from the hotel. the room was a little bigger than the usual hotel rooms in Tokyo, small but very comfortable. the hotel offered 24h free hot tea, coffee and amenities like bath and personal care supplies (disposable razors, shower towels, q-tips, etc). we payed to have the breakfast included, and it not disappointed: it was a really good buffet with Japanese-style breakfast (fresh cooked rice, curry sauce, various japanese pickles, grilled fish, miso soup, salads) and some Western foods too (fresh baked pancakes, croissants, omelet, bacon, sausages, yogurt and cereal). we had a great time.

the room cleaning could be a little better. one day we found a cloth under our bed (probably the cleaning staff forgot there when they did the room cleaning). other than that, all went really well.

Lobby provides all kinds of hotel supplies and coffee machine is available for free as well. The hot chocolate is wonderful. They have two coffee machines with different brands and therefore you can have two flavours of chocolate.

Though they claim the bed is larger than normal double bed, it actually still smaller than a king size bed.

Hotel is located in a quieter, less busy suburb in the Shinjuku area. Plenty of restaurants nearby and the Metro (Yotsuya-Sanchome) is only a 2 minute walk away. The Marunouchi line that serves this area is super convenient to get to major stations such as Shinjuku (connections to Haneda via bus and Narita via express train) and Tokyo. (Note that this is the Metro NOT JR, so if you got a JR pass you cannot use it here). I recommend checking out the Fire Department's Museum that is adjacent to the station exit closest to the hotel (Exit 2) as it is a hidden gem filled with wonderful historical artifacts about the history of fire fighting in Japan as well as interactive exhibits for the kids. Signs are in both Japanese and English and admission is free. The extra bed we requested was just as comfortable as our regular beds and the room was large enough that we were still able to fit our luggage with a bit of wriggling. Bathroom was clean and although housekeeping only starts after the third night unless requested, we could still get clean towels every day. What impressed us the most during our stay was the hotel breakfast. It was a buffet style with a variety of both Western (bacon, sausage, etc) and Japanese (salted salmon, miso soup, etc) offerings. A must try is the hotel's signature french toast cooked to order in a small pizza oven. It was the most delicious french toast we've ever had and you can choose from a variety of toppings such as chocolate cream and marmalade to put on it. We had several helpings of it every day during our stay!

The hotel is quite busy and there are only 2 elevators, so sometimes you might have to wait to use the elevator during peak times.

There are two museums for toddlers which made the hot days of August bearable. It’s close to the metro which is a few stops to Ginza or Shinjuku. The French toast during breakfast was the best I have ever had.

There was a layer of dust on the headboard and rooms are a little outdated.

Superb location, 5 minutes walk to nearest subway station. Staff friendly and helpful. Hotel rooms very clean.

Rooms are small. Beds are very hard and not comfortable. Bathroom is small.

Check in process was smooth. Bed was fairly large and the room had good air conditioning (which ended up being important because even in the winter, the building was heated to a temperature beyond my comfort). When I booked the price for each night was low, and was a good deal overall for a hotel in the Tokyo area. There a handful of decent surrounding restaurants (if you don't want to travel into Shinjuku or Yotsuya), I recommend Toka Shio Tsukemen about 10 minutes walk East.

The only bed pillow available was practically flat, and not comfortable. I ended up buying a travel pillow from a store in Shinjuku. The mini fridge is more like a cooler, in the sense that its more of an insulating box rather than a meaningful device for chilling things. The window was either sealed or stuck. The location is okay, in the sense that it is a brief train ride to good locations, but not because it is actually near anything especially interesting. Expect to ride the Marunouchi line a lot, and make a lot of train connections if you plan to go to most places. The station is about 2 blocks or so away from the hotel.

We stayed in Sakura room and really loved it! The mattresses and tatami floor were very comfortable for us. The room size was pretty spacious for three people (considering Japan room sizes). The air conditioning was very good in the room. The bathroom was spacious too - we were pleasantly surprised by heated mirror and big tub size. The service and staff were very friendly and helpful (thank you very much to the staff)! Breakfast restaurant was amazing - good variety of foods (both japanese and western), staff would always greet us and show best table at the moment. My sister really enjoyed the apple lemonade! Really loved shampoo selection next to reception. That was a nice gesture from the hotel! We really enjoyed our stay and would stay again next time!

The windows of our room did not open, I don't know if it is because it was the top floor, but we would have loved some air from outside. But it is not a big issue, the air conditioning was great in the room.

Idk where to begin. I had such an amazing experience at this hotel and in Japan in general. This was my first time and I enjoyed every single moment. I cannot wait to come back. The hotel staff were a magnanimous host and treated my wife and I as if we were family. The hotel and the country in whole are super clean, kind, respectful, modest, and extremely welcoming. Each day felt like an event full of joy, warmth, and excitement. The food was amazing and well prepared. The hotel is in a great location and close to the subway. We will definitely be coming back to this location.

A good hotel offering a great breakfast spread and an extensive range of toiletries, either already in your room or available at the reception. They even provide a shampoo bar where you can choose your preferred shampoo and conditioner if the in-room options don’t suit you. The breakfast caters to all dietary needs, and their freshly baked french toast is well worth the indulgence. While the staff may not be fluent in English, they are exceptionally courteous and helpful. The rooms are compact, but this was expected at the time of booking. The location is not directly in the heart of Shibuya but is conveniently close to a train station that connects you to virtually all of Japan.
