Clean, great location, saw a bear n the parking lot upon arrival then saw him a couple nights later walking down the creek, the fireplace is nice, and we conveniently walked to everything, we only used our vehicle when we packed up to leave ! Great place ti stay

It’s just an old building , but they keep it clean. Not much I can complain about , there was a cold draft coming from around the door maybe they could improve that , but maybe that adds into the overall “mountain” atmosphere, giving the fireplace that extra appeal to cozy up in front of. Honestly , I like the way it is . It’s a Classic

The location was perfect. It was right on the strip. Loved sitting on the balcony and watching the bears and raccoons. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great I loved the pancakes. They had plenty to choose from such as cereal,muffins, pancakes, biscuits and gravy,eggs. Great view. We really enjoyed our stay. Definitely will be staying again.

Only thing we didn't like was the mattress covers had stains and some tears . The cover on top of the sheet had lots of tears in it. And the plugs was old our chargers wouldn't stay plugged in . Overall still a great place to stay.

Everyone was very nice and we did enjoy our time there. The only negative thing was there was a family in the breakfast area that were clearly sick. the child was the exact height of the open food on the counter and was coughing directly on the food. Nothing was said to the family. I understand that the staff doesn't want to cause problems with the quest, but there are health safety issues with coughing on food. It could cause someone with a compromised immune system problems and in an certain cases death. I feel that they should have been asked to leave or the food removed. Neither actions were done.

Because it was so busy at breakfast, it took a little time to get food out and only one person doing it maybe during super busy times, use an extra hand but the staff was great, did their best to service us.

Our room was in the process of being upgraded maybe where the ironing board was could add a clothes hanging rack Fireplace was great - but maybe a more comfortable chair to set next to fireplace

Room was much more "high end" and updated than what I expected for the price and based on impressions of the exterior. Room and especially sheets seemed very clean and was cooled to a perfect temperature. Location in Gatlinburg was unbeatable, enjoyed that breakfast was included with my stay. I absolutely loved the little park behind the buildings, great for my son and for our dog that were along for the trip.

The only negative I had was the blinds on the rear exterior window were not wide enough to completely cover the window. I hung jackets and towels to cover the gaps and feel like I had complete privacy. Otherwise, the exterior appearance made me nervous that the place would be run down due to styling being outdated and gave me the impression that maintenance might not be up to date, but that was not the case and just proves to never judge a book by its cover.

Clean, comfortable, great breakfast, perfect location for our needs. Even got maid service for a two night stay-better than in a high end hotel these days! Not the most up to date or fanciest but very clean and plenty of hot water and comfortable beds and quiet. Best location we could ask for on the strip and with a balcony on the creek too and near the convention center! What else could we ask for. Near 2 of the best restaurants in town.

Needs cosmetic work but that will vastly increase the prices I'm afraid.

Loved the location and the view from the patio. The rate was not bad for a three-night stay. We also got to see bears in the parking lot every morning and evening.

the room needs to be cleaned better. There needs to be some maintenance done on the room. There had been a water leak before and there was a large stain on the ceiling. The blinds on the patio door were torn up and told the office and took pictures and was told they would be fixed the first day and never was. The maid needs to pay closer attention to the walls also because in the bathroom was nasty, I had to clean it up.

Great "classic" Gatlinburg property, built into and around the hillside, rather than by boringly grading a flat spot to set it on. The result is a very interesting resort. We could leave the room, take an elevator 3 floors down, then cross a sky bridge to another elevator to descend another 6 floors or so, and be at street level for drinks, shops, etc. very quickly. Room was large, clean, and had a great view of downtown and surrounding hills.

Parking was a tad tight.

Reception staff was awful.but the Manager saw what was going on and instantly stepped in. He was was absolutely top-notch! Pool was heated to 90 and felt relaxing. Excellent location next to Cherokee Grill which had one of the best cooked filets I've eaten and Nevad potatoes were incredible. Saw bear both nights at hotel, yeah!

Reception employees. We were also asked to leave pool at closing 10:30, no problem but at 11:15 a very loud party took over pool and when I called the person at front desk asked me what should she do about it, close pool because I didn't like noise? I said the pool closed 45 minutes ago! She told me she would 'try' and find someone. At 12:30 am the partying and laughter along with music continued.

This is an older hotel in a great location. Room was comfortable and located with a nice view of the stream that runs past it. They served a standard breakfast (scrambled eggs, bagels, waffles, yogurt, cereal, etc) so we didn't have to go out to eat in the morning. It is also located right next to the Smoky Mountain Brewery which had some very good food (and beer) and Calhoun's, also a nice restaurant.

We did notice that it needed some sprucing up and minor repairs. The vanity light in our room was hanging by it's wires...something a few screws could have remedied. Wifi was not very good, but the hotel is surrounded by mountains so I assume that was the problem.
