When one sees photos on various booking sights there's always a slight scepticism and nervousness at how the accommodation is presented and described. One then looks at the reviews and tries to determine if there is equally a bias or misrepresentation. But this is not the case at Senglea Suites ! My wife and I frequently (at least try to) seek out high quality Airbnbs, Vrbo, apart/hotel rooms; so Senglea Suites is up there as the best we've had in many years! The rooms are better than portrayed through the pictures (we had a Queen suite with balcony); the room facilities (fridge, coffee, tea and water) and hygiene very high; the roof terrace (fab views across the harbours) relaxing but above all else Eric and Michael the proprietors are the most welcoming "super hosts" you'll ever meet! They are always in contact with you thru WhatsApp; attend breakfast (continental with eggs - an awesome omelette) to ensure everything is perfect and answer all your questions around what to see, do, eat and drink. Every recommendation they gave us we took up and we were not disappointed. If you are looking to stay in Malta don't be put off by not being in Valletta. The Senglea Suites are on the Isla peninsula. Water taxis are plentiful to take you to Valletta and the restaurant scene in Isla is better with many situated along the quayside- which is not the case in Valletta on account of the city being on a mount. Restaurants to visit (with my rating for food); Terrone-5; Le Regatta-4.5; Enchante-4; Aqua Blue-4; Novita-3.5. Bolt, Uber and eCabs are plentiful and cheap (no need to hire a car) but don't be shy of using public buses which are much cheaper and take you around the towns on Malta. In addition to browsing around the local environs plus Valletta, places to have on your list should include; Mdina/Rabat; Gozo (Victoria & Ramla Bay) by fast ferry; Marsaxlokk. If you are looking for good temperatures e.g.

Everything. The design is amazing. So many little details have been considered. Cleanliness is 10/10. Staff are super friendly. Views from the 2 rooftop terraces are to die for. Just everything, communication from the owners was amazing. Cannot not fault anything. Will 100% be returning and recommending.

There is simply nothing to dislike

From the moment we entered thought the blue door, everything was just ‘Wow!!’ The entire hotel was beautifully decorated and when we were shown into our room (rm6) on the top floor, going up in the glass lift, we were blown away by the breathtaking view! The room was so beautiful yet very cosy and of course spotlessly clean. The location was just right for us too, away from the hassle and bustle of Valletta but only 10 minutes across the water by the cute local boats (€2 each way). Every morning, we ate fantastic breakfast on the top terrace enjoying the amazing view (gluten free available). The host, Eric and Michael were very helpful and made us feel very welcome, always available to answer any questions we had before/during our stay. We highly recommend Senglea Suits to anyone looking to enjoy the delights of Malta. We can’t wait to go back!

The location of this hotel was great! It was easy to get around and the owner Eric was helpful the entire time. We loved the rooftop view and our hotel room was spacious. We would definitely recommend to others and would stay here again!

My husband & I have visited Malta several times over the last few years, and I wish we had found this gem sooner. Senglea Suites is in the 3 Cities area of Malta, which is a quieter, more residential area - ideal for us as we did not want the noise of other areas like St Julians. Eric & Michael were extremely good at keeping us updated with the booking as well as during our stay and all the staff were so friendly, helpful and efficient. The hotel is beautiful, really good sized bedrooms with excellent bathrooms, all areas of the building were spotlessly clean, and there is a lovely roof terrace where we had breakfast looking over the marina everyday. I cannot recommend them highly enough and hope to revisit again soon.

Beautiful boutique hotel, attention to detail was second to none, Spotless clean, staff were amazing, helped us greatly with our trip, getting taxis etc, honestly one of the best hotels we have stayed at, breakfast was very nice. Hotel location is beautiful, lots of restaurants a short walk away, views from the roof terrace over to Birgu and Valletta were great especially in the evenings. We loved returning to Senglea after our busy days in Malta. The whole place is decorated with great taste!! Well done guys, you have really done a great job of this place, hope to return again some day.

What an amazing hotel! Eric and Michael have thought of everything that you may need for your stay. The rooms are beautifully decorated with comfortable beds. There’s shower gel, a fridge with sparkling and still water, a Nespresso coffee machine and even slippers! Breakfast is delicious - from toast, croissants and eggs through to yogurt, ham, cheese and fruit. No-one will go hungry. And all served with the most amazing view from the terrace. The location is great - you can walk everywhere to visit the many restaurants and bars. Or catch the ferry across to Valetta. Thank you Eric and Michael - you were wonderful hosts and we will definitely be back!

Amazing views from the rooftop and from my bedroom. The rooftop views are really the ones everyone comes to Malta to see and the 3 Cities Area is the place to stay to connect with historic Malta. When the weather is nice, you can also take your breakfast on the roof. Staff was super helpful and friendly, offering great communication beforehand and tips for the visit and easily accommodating my request to store luggage on my checkout day until my departure. The room itself was nicely equipped and beautifully decorated, with lots of nice touches like free still and sparkling water in the fridge and a rainfall shower in the bathroom. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty.

Bed was a little soft and saggy in places, although the pillows were quite comfortable. It is a solid (but easily doable) 20-minute walk to the 3 Cities Ferry over to Valletta (but the bus is very close and a Bolt ride isn't too expensive). When it's raining, I just wished the walk to the ferry was a little shorter.

Our stay at Senglea Suites far exceeded our expectations. It was perfect in every way. The hosts Eric and Michael, along with their great staff, were all amazing. The location was perfect. Quiet in Senglea, but a short boat trip across to Valletta. Breakfast had a great selection. Beds were extremely comfortable and the room was very spacious with everything we needed. Everything very clean. Everything was so well thought out to meet all of our needs. Beautiful location and view from rooftop patio was beautiful. Hosts very communicative leading up to and during our stay. Willing to provide information about the area and restaurant recommendations. I would highly recommend Senglea Suites!

Super hosts Eric and Michael and their staff make you feel like VIPs the moment you step through the blue door, each room has comfy beds and is individually decorated to perfection and you feel like you’re the first guests. Excellent location for exploring and lots of eateries close by. Omelettes a specialty and plenty of choice at breakfast which can be enjoyed on the roof terrace via the glass lift. Also wonderful views in the evening with a glass of wine. Definitely a place to come back to. Nothing is too much trouble even a beach bag and towels.
