The hotel was small, unique and beautiful, the team were friendly, they went beyond for something I asked for in the room and they were keen to get us drinks on arrival, they were welcoming and helpful. Location was great too. I was travelling with someone but would have been happy here on my own too.
The breakfast - the provisions for non-dairy were not great - whilst they gave me a carton of oat milk for my room (which was great) the breakfast menu overall was limited. No ability to do non-dairy barista coffee, yoghurt etc, no extras like avocado or good alternatives - so limiting to toast etc - and there were no attempts to change this for other mornings.

We loved our stay. Stunning historic building renovated in 2023. A real luxury boutique hotel with an amazing rooftop pool and hot tub You can order drinks and snacks on a phone located on the roof terrace and they are delivered to you within a few minutes, it's a lovely touch. Fresh towels waiting on your sunbeds each day. Our room was also beautiful and immaculately clean when we arrived and they were happy to clean the room every day if required..The air conditioning was excellent too. Breakfast was cooked to order and served to your table with drinks. The choice was excellent, and it was very good quality The location of the hotel is amazing too, right next to the beautiful harbour and just a short stroll to the ferry that takes you directly to Valetta. There were lots of lovely restaurants around the harbour too and a fabulous ice cream parlour serving coffee, snacks and cakes, open from morning until late at night. All the staff are very friendly but our stay was made extra special by the wonderful Max, he is the heart and soul of the hotel, efficient, friendly and a real asset.
We loved so much about our stay, don't hesitate to book this hotel. I think the only thing that was a little disappointing was our view from the room. We had tried to book a harbour view which was unavailable, however, our balcony was directly onto the building next door, it was a an alleyway with steps between the hotel and the residential building next door where residents hung their washing out. It wasn't unpleasant and I think you have to be realistic in Malta as the area is very built up with alleyways, which is actually part of the charm. However, I think these particularly rooms should be priced a little cheaper as it was not a view I would expect for the price we paid.

Christmas holiday We stayed as a couple with my husband's brother in law (to commemorate my sister in law's passing.) All the staff were amazing, always helpful, informative, and polite. Nothing was too much for them. The welcome drink on first arrival was a lovely touch. The explanation of technical aspects of the room, heating etc. Both Carlos and Roman provided information on local restaurants, museums and ferry/boat services. Martine was also bubbly and helpful. The hotel was immaculately clean and tidy in the rooms, foyer and central courtyard area. The lounge/breakfast area was homely and well furnished. Our house keeper Roma was amazing, and our rooms were pristine, clean and tidy every day. We felt spoilt as we are used to working hard and it was lovely to be looked after and feel pampered. I felt for the price paid for the rooms, an inclusive breakfast would have been an added bonus, but on the one occasion we had breakfast the choice was fresh and extensive, and myself and my husband were upgraded to larger room foc, so not really a big issue. Our room had a small balcony but nowhere to sit and overlooked a rear passageway, with no view, just a neighbours washing, but the room was quiet. As the season was cooler, we would have preferred an inside balcony with a table and chairs, so we could sit at night even though the courtyard was open to the elements. This was really a personal preference though.

I travel a lot and no hotel has left such a pleasant impression as this small boutique hotel. From the first minutes you can feel the firm hand of the management and staff who maintain a homely and cozy atmosphere in the hotel. Manager Maxime is incredibly polite, attentive and not indifferent to the requests of guests, ready to help at any minute of the day or night - special thanks to him for this 🫶🏽 Breakfasts are very nice - according to the menu, prepared personally for the guest, which adds charm and the feeling that you are visiting your loved ones :) We left the hotel early in the morning and by our departure the most delicious freshly baked croissants were already ready - it was very nice and pleasant! ❤️

The 5-minute ferry to Valetta was just outside the hotel so this was an ideal location - away from the noise and crowding but easily accessible to the capital. Birgu is a very smart location where all the most expensive yachts are moored and the scenery and walks around this little peninsula are stunning. We think this is the best location in Malta and this small boutique hotel is a great choice with loads of character plus a lovely rooftop terrace with a small swimming pool. The restaurants along the shoreline are also excellent with good service and reasonable prices (although Valetta has more choice and probably cheaper).
We had a stunning view across the harbour, but not many rooms do have this. The other rooms are still lovely (each one is different) but if you do want a nice view you need to select it when booking (although you always have the rooftop so it's not a big issue). Breakfast is an all or nothing arrangement - you pay the full price whether you want a piece of toast or the full monty. We ate out every night so couldn't cope with large breakfasts, so therefore we didn't use it at all (which was a shame).

beautiful hotel, good location, near the ferry to Valletta, the view from the roof terrace and pool is unreal, helpful staff, good breakfast (from meniu).
I don't know about the other rooms, but room 105 has a musty smell. There are two dehumidifiers in the room, which hum quite loudly. Probably because of the humidity, the room was full of mosquitoes (the windows were closed). We fought them every night. We couldn't turn off the light. The light could only be turned off in the electrical panel, we informed the receptionist about this problem, but the problem was not resolved during our entire stay

Where to start! Fantastic welcome and service throughout. The hotel is all beautiful old stone and high ceilings. It’s quite simple decor so it has this really soothing, relaxing feeling when you walk in from the hot sunshine. The rooftop terrace is a dream! The views are incredible from up there. Location is perfect and I generally loved the area of Birgu and the Three Cities. If you enjoy a relaxing vibe stay in the Three Cities rather than Valletta- it’s beautiful and much more chilled. Recommend paying extra for a Deluxe Suite - otherwise you have a courtyard view and the city/harbour view is so beautiful it’s worth the extra price.
Everything was wonderful. If they added a cocktail bar on the roof that would be incredible but I can see it’s maybe too quiet sometimes for it to be worth it. (I had the roof to myself sometimes which was lovely) Maybe for high season? Breakfast was really nice but unless it’s included in your room fairly pricey. I speak as someone who can’t manage a huge breakfast - I had it a couple of times then also went to the cafe down the road which does great pastries. Have to say the one and only negative is that the croissant I had at the hotel was not as good as the others I had in Malta. My other breakfast bits were great though.

The hotel was beautiful and we were looked after most excellently by staff who could not do enough for us. We were even invited to their amazing official opening party on their beautiful roof terrace, treated to exceptional food and drink at the event. We were always treated with so much kindness, authentic delight in customer service, good humour and efficiency, that Charlie and Maxime felt like great friends by the time we left. The cleaning staff of Shilpa and Roma were delightful; friendly without being intrusive and always professional in their roles. Our stay in Malta was completely enhanced by our stay in Palazzo Bettina and we could not recommend them enough. Thank you so much for a lovely and memorable stay

The hotel has been beautifully renovated, keeping the old features and adding in modern conveniences eg lift; rooftop pool; A/C and great showers/bathrooms. The staff were all amazing and so helpful with a genuine pride in the hotel which was lovely. A chilled glass of Prosecco by the rooftop pool had us won over straight away after check in! Great location, easy walk to ferry to Valetta and lots of historical sites to explore. I would definitely recommend to other travellers and in my opinion one of the best locations to stay in Malta
Tea and coffee with breakfast, otherwise nothing. The coffee was dreadful and when everything else was so good, it was disappointing. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel again because of the coffee, which was a very poor machine coffee, with no flavour. The tea too was way too weak. This was really our only disappointment

First time visiting Malta. After some research we decided on the Three Cities for our stay. The hotel was in a perfect location. The water bus to Valletta is a five minute walk from the hotel. The hotel was lovely. Staff were very welcoming and always happy to answer any queries that we had about the local area. Our room was of a high standard. Very clean. The roof top terrace was a lovely bonus and a nice area to relax, and unwind, with great views of Valletta. I would highly recommend the hotel.
