Despite the not very good rating on Booking.com, the room was perfectly fine, spacious, clean, high ceilings in a Maltese house with old types of windows. Breathtaking view of the harbor and moored ships. The location is quieter (except for the road, where cars drive almost all the time) and we also had the misfortune of construction work right in the street, where the pavement was being reconstructed). But it's not the owner's fault. The manager/owner Aldo was very helpful and the communication was also very fast. Breakfast is really the weakest item, as it was written earlier here. I would like a more varied breakfast. The reward, however, was the view from the terrace where breakfast was served. The location seemed safe to me, about 1.5 km to the center, where it is busier. Otherwise everything is fine.

room is big enaough with a small balcony. the view from balcony is beautiful. staff is really friendly. breakfast is good, there is 24 hours coffee machine on the top floor, a fridge to keep the things and a microwave that guests can use themselves. the tarrece is open to all, all the guest can access there and make use of the tables/chairs provided there to have a samll break any time. the view from terrace is all worth to be there.

we were expecting a double bed but there were two beds joinrd together which was quite uncomofrtable for a couple. In the bathroom the shower and wash basin tap had extremely little supply of water, that was uneasy for taking a shower.

Great location in front of the port. Walking distance to Birgu where you can find everything: boat trips, cafes, restaurants etc. My room had a balcony with beautiful views. Very calm at night with the port in front of you, stars and the moon. There’s an amazing terrace to enjoy 24/7 and you can bring your own food. It has a little kitchenette to warm up things, fridge, coffee machine etc I don’t know why people are complaining it looks exactly like on the pictures and is a great value for the price!

The stuff was really nice, they allowed us to leave our stuff at the reception while going to stroll around, because we had a late flight.Tha facility is very safe, you need password in order to get in. Breakfast is serves on the balcony on the top floor and the view is breath- taking.

Master bed broke suddenly while lieing on it, and the room wasn't the cleanest. But overall good for its price.

My criteria was Price, Comfort & Location. I ticked all 3 boxes. I wanted a location away from the Bustle, that was easy distance for food, amentities, and adventures...and I chose Kalkara, the right 3rd of the 3 Cities Peninsulars. Across the road on the Quayside there are 3 excellent restaurants... top quality food. Just down the road there is a lovely little (mini-supermarket) shop that offered a wonderful surprise; it bakes it's own bread. Further down the road is a little shop that sells Pastizzi, Qassatat and other savouries, and just across the street there is a Pharmacy. I never tried the bus (service) so can't comment, though I did see quite a few up and down the road. From the hotel I just walked to where I wanted to go. It was a simple 20 minute walk to Cospicua for the 3 Cities-Valetta ferry and it couldn't have been easier. Before Cospicua is the middle 3 city, Birgu... there you will find lots of Restaurants and a fabulous walk along the Quayside... If you are so inclined, I can fully recommend the "Il Bacino", which I think is part of, and located opposite the larger "Wild West Bar & Grill"...I had a truly fabulous "English" Breakfast there...and the Buondi Coffee is delicious. A great start to the day.....sets you up until dinner. A little more about the Hotel... it has lift... great Wi-Fi (per floor), a roof-top Breakfast area, with the views across to Valetta to die for. If you are lucky enough to get a front room with Balcony at the hotel, you will not be disappointed with your vista... trust me. All-in-all... a fantastic Hotel for what it offers... inside and out.

The location was amazing. Lovely, friendly place. The couple who running the place, Doreen and Antoine are nice, humble, friendly people. Them kindness make more pleasant our stay. They making the place feels like home. The house is a traditional Maltese style home. The view is just breath taking. Breakfast on the rooftop, with home grown tomatoes from the owner and beautiful picture of the port.

Was comfortable and quiet.

Little things which does not require millions were missing like a normal size of bin or mopping the floor.Was a massive mould sitting on the silicone in the bathroom.. The breakfast was the same every day,even the yogurt was the same flavour every day.Would be lovely a bit of tomato or something as well.

For me cleaning lady came so early in the morning about 8:30 we were still sleeping We didn’t have any hooks for towels in the bathroom

Lovely authentic Maltese guesthouse, very clean, lovely people and great value for what we paid. Half hourly bus service to Valletta, area is nice & quiet but shops/bars/restaurants fairly limited, also hilly and not really suited to anyone with mobility issues. Beautiful harbour in front of the hotel adds to the local scenery so ask for room overlooking.
