Centralised location for shopping and a supermarket

For people with strollers or wheelchair, the hotel is located on a hilly slope therefore will required strength to walk up the hilly paths. The bathroom needed a little thorough cleaning and the room we had, the shower door rubber needed to be fixed so the water will not sipped out during shower.

Location, easy access for buses and ferry to other parts of the island. Good breakfast with variety of food. Recommend using bolt for taxis as cheap. Well equipped gym, spa and indoor pool with showers for late flights post checkout. Level 9 pool bar and terrace nice and enough sun loungers. Drinks were reasonably priced and had a happy hour!

The staff at reception had varying levels of local information and knowledge about the hotel for example when asking on the first night where to go for food at 10.30pm we were ill advised to go to the north of the island rather than the south where there are more options. Late checkout, if you have a option prior to staying I would recommend to book as we found it difficult as were asked to ask on the morning and were told we’re nearly at capacity but then could not facilitate a late checkout - regardless the facilities at the gym were good and luggage room

Rooms were spacious, lovely sea view and decent sized bathroom. The Hotel was 5-10mins away from the shops (Zara especially) with the boat docks and restaurants in the same area. Loved the rooftop pool, we didn't realize there were 2 which was a nice surprise when we arrived. There's 1 main infinity pool and a smaller/quieter one on the below level. The rooftop bar was lovely too, you had 2 bar options to choose from, the staff were great! There's a huge spa with a sauna and pool (We didn't use this but would have if the weather wasn't great)

The quality of the breakfast could have been better. I also didn't like the coffee (but this is my personal opinion.) Nutella pancakes great though!

high quality standards, great breakfast and dinner for those with half board accomodation. Staff were very professional, friendly and helpful. Great rooftop pool and indoor pool. Drinks are not included in the halfboard dinner option, however we were given discount every night and in the end it was way reasonable than our expectations.

there is not much to talk about negative stuff. mainly external factors like walking distance to the center to reach public transportation. streets and pavements were bumpy and narrow. with stroller we struggled a bit but this has nothing to do with the hotel. only information for those who are coming with babies

AX The Victoria Hotel has a historical feel to it with its decor. If you’re more into a modern look, this hotel isn’t for you, but we liked the dated decor (they didn’t have many) and it added charm to the hotel. Customer service is A+ and answered all our questions and even helped us book a taxi for our departure flight. Their rooftop bar, restaurants and pool are amazing! The bar staff were friendly and chatted with us every time we came up. TemptAsian Restaurant & Lounge was fantastic! This restaurant is shared with the joint hotel next to The Victoria and let me tell you, the food was delicious and the views were stunning at night. Overall, very impressed with our hotel and very happy we chose The Victoria. The cleaning staff were so sweet, asking us everyday if we need new towels, water or if we wanted our room cleaned which we declined and wanted to be more environmentally friendly. All staff would greet us when we would see them. Would stay here again!

One elevator wasn’t working, but the hotel did it get it fixed within a day. It didn’t bother us since our room was on the 3rd floor so it wasn’t much effort to go up and down the stairs.

The hotel has nice old timey vibe and the amenities are great. The breakfast is amazing with plenty of options (english breakfast, pancakes, fruits...). The room was pretty good with confortable bed, AC, fridge, safe. The spa is great (pool, sauna, steam bath) with plenty of deckchairs. I expected to be the spa always busy, but few times I was there it was actually pretty calm, although some people are obnoxious (talking on phones, videos without headphones etc.). The staff is always friendly and helpful. The cleaning is great. The Wifi is fast and reliable. The hotel is in very good location, 5 minutes to plenty of buses or ferry to Valletta. The location is quiet, you could even have a window open during the night.

The AC was unbelievably loud, thankfully I didn't need it in the middle of November, but I can't imagine using it in real heat. Also the shower was the worst part of the room. The shower pressure was weak and the temperature was always changing on its own, so you could be sure you will get very hot water in your face all of the sudden.

Rooms were very spacious and were on higher floor. Location of the property is perfect too , stones throw distance from the Sliema ferries + Bus stop that will take you everywhere you need all on in a good hotel with good friendly staff and very accommodating with requests

the bathroom exhaust was noisy (not always , seems like some switch issue) the drinks served especially beers and whisky rum etc need to be measured properly and then served . I guess this isnt just with this hotel but on the whole island where measures of drinks is questionable. Bed mattresses are a bit springy too

Breakfast and dinner choice was excellent , Excellent Staff Sliema promenade is about 10 mins away from the hotel

The pool on the top floor isn't heated

Mostly everything. If I would need to enumerate some of the best things, those would be: - qualified and welcoming/helping staff - location - breakfast - very large room with fresh water everyday - cleaning - view - our room was upgraded without having to pay anything extra

There were a couple of things which can be foreseen as it bothered us but let say are less important such as very bad coffee and the hairdryer which was broken and we could not properly use it. But there are two aspects which bothered us more: - we requested double bed but we got twin beds, - it was cold in the room and there was no option for heating

We were upgraded to the Executive Suite for the last two days of our stay. This made up in some way for the dissapointing start to our stay. We appreciated this kind gesture.

Dissapointing start to our stay, room not as requested, eventually room changed. Couldn't book Xmas lunch again eventually sorted. Breakfast was good until changed to the Palace Hotel. They served you which meant things were cold when you got back to your table. The Penny Black bar was closed without notice, which meant you had to use the pricier bar at the palace. The hotel staff are however friendly and helpful.
