Welcoming and helpful staff, comfortable room with plenty of amenities and location is really convenient for seeing the sites of Valletta. Well stocked breakfast was very much appreciated.

Our room on the third floor directly overlooked several bars which were loud until 1-2AM on Friday and Saturday night. Even with the windows shut (which made the room quite stuffy) and earplugs in, the music and shouting kept us awake. If we hadn't been checking out early the next morning, I would have requested to change rooms.

Lovely decor, very comfortable bed and excellent location in the heart of Valletta

The sound proofing in the building wasn't very good and the nearby bars and restaurants could be heard at night and similarly the traffic in the morning. Also the hot water in the show ran out twice during our stay which wasn't ideal. I found the breakfast to be quite underwhelming too - no hot food available.

We, as human beings tend to complain about everything. Even after these 2 difficult years with Covid it seems that we did not receive well the message (once again) that Life is very fragile, and we MUST live end enjoy every minute of it. Having now the full ability to travel again, meet new people, explore new countries, and learn about their cultures is a gift that this time we need to grab it (and never let it), even if the package has been damaged, the wrapping has not been well done, or the ribbon is missing. I always read comments about “the room was small”, the breakfast was not so good”, “there was noise on the Hotel”, etc etc…. but are these the real issues here? How big is your room in your house? What do you eat every day for breakfast? How frequently at the end of the day you have the chance to go for a trip in your life and relax, enjoy, recharge your batteries, and add one more page at your Lifebook? You never know when this will be your last trip in your life. So, if you decided to visit Malta (which you MUST) and you are looking to stay on a beautiful Hotel, enjoy a high level of Hospitality, be treated with respect, and meet amazing people (from the Manager up to the people that will clean your room, serve your breakfast, and arrange at the reception everything you would like) then the only answer is The Barrister Hotel. It is located at the centre of Valletta, close to everything (from Bars, to shops, to Restaurants). Mark, the manager is the Wikipedia of Malta. He will answer every single question that you have about Malta, and he will give you millions of options and ideas of what to do during your stay. But in order for the Manager to spent time with you it means that everything else in the Hotel is running perfectly and this is where I want to say a big THANK YOU to the whole BOH (Back of the House) team that makes this Hotel running like a Swiss clock. Until we meet again!

Nothing to complain.

It's a very nice hotel at just few steps from the city center and the harbor. The room was very clean, big enough with a very nice malteze balcony. The breakfast was exactly on our taste..fresh avocado, prociutto, brie, amazing coffee, and many others. Last but not least the personal is so kind and always ready to help, in particular Mark. He really knows how to make you feel like home, to guide you through what Malta can offers, he's like a talking book when it comes to history of the place. Definitely a place we would like to return! :)

Every morning at breakfast, the owner of the hotel welcomes you and helps you to prepare your day with his advice and his precious addresses . His daughter Emma is extraordinary and watches over you and gives you all the good tips to make your stay the best. My advice is to ask for Emma ☺️

We loved everything about this hotel. Everywhere was clean. The owner and staff go the extra mile to be helpful and are all very friendly, and very informative. Rooms are beautiful with a very comfortable bed & excellent bathroom. There were plenty of towels provided and the selection of toiletries provided, well all I can say is that they have thought of eveything from brushing your teeth to shaving, we even found in our room a little show shine & a sewing kit! You will also find in the wardrobe a hairdryer, an iron & ironing board. There is a minibar with soft drinks. There is a Nespresso machine in the room and a small kettle with tea & coffee and a bottle of water is provided and a new bottle is placed in the room every day. If you haven't been to Malta before or, as we hadn't, been for a long time they have 3 pin plug sockets so you won't be needing that travel adapter! They also have usb ports on the plug sockets next to the bed. Breakfast is a wonderful selection of breads, hams, turkey, cheeses, cakes, biscuits, cereals, yoghurts, fruits, boiled eggs & tomatoes. This is one of the best hotels we have stayed in and on our next visit to Malta this is exactly where we will stay.

I didn't like having to leave & come home!

Modern hotel with elevator in great location. Can walk within a few minutes of any central Valletta museums, royal palace, war museum, war rooms, restaurants, and shops. Very clean and up to date. Nice breakfast. Staff was very helpful with tips and suggestions. Would stay here again.

Nothing...everything was wonderful.

Enjoyable breakfast with juice on offer. A very refreshing change to have a full time receptionist on duty who was welcoming every time I left or returned. Hotel based in a convenient area for exploring Valletta BUT ...(see what I didn't like)

Two things were a little disappointing. My room (no.13) was on the first floor overlooking St Christopher Street. This meant there was a lot of external noise until late at night as the glazing did not deaden sounds. Entry to the shower was narrow for a fuller figured person and further restricted by the position of the shower controls.

The location is superb - it is only 20m from the main thoroughfare, Republic Street, which is within walking distance of the many attractions. The hotel is stylishly decorated and has great character. Mark and his staff are friendly and he gives excellent advice about the must-see destinations and how to reach them. The continental breakfast has a varied selection of fare, and gluten-free guests are catered for.

There is only one point - although the bathroom is very stylish, spacious and clean, the bath is too deep and steep-sided. This could present a hazard to any guest, let alone a person with mobility problems.

The owners have modernised the property sympathetically, so traditional features and architecture are still apparent which is great. The location of the barrister is excellent with just a 2 minute stroll to the heart of the main streets of valetta. The property is stunning, beautifully presented, clean, welcoming and daily maid and room service. we stayed in the roof top suit with a hot tub, the view from the large balcony is stunning by day and especially at night, and the hot tub such a great touch, not too warm and a great way to cool down in the Maltese heat. the staff are friendly and welcoming, customer satisfaction is at the heart of the service provided. we had breakfast in our room on the balcony every morning, nothing was too much trouble. The owner of the barrister has a wealth of knowledge about valetta and is always on hand, to give directions to great restaurants, trips out and sights to see. we would like to thank the barrister team for an amazing stay at this luxurious boutique hotel, we will definitely return thank-you
