This is a two star hotel, so do not expect it to be like a Marriott in the US. That said, it was clean and spacious, fantastic location, had everything we needed. Staff was friendly and we felt quite safe staying here. It's up the hill from the main part of Sayulita so you can walk to beach/restaurants/whatever in 2-5 minutes, but you are away from the partying and noise at night.

Facilities could use some updating, the maid cleaned our room even when we had the do not disturb sign on, front door didn't work well, so we had to use the back door most of the time. Again, no serious problems and quite nice for a two star hotel.

Great location to town, fast wifi, hot shower & great water pressure! the villa is dated, but it is still quite lovely especially for the price & it is CLEAN - which is very important to me, personally. you can tell that there is still effort put into making what is already there work. great views & just peaceful. awesome for a quiet night away from the lively center of town.

the bed was hard. it wasn’t an issue for one night or maybe for someone else, but even then, that still wouldn’t deter me from booking again. a thicker blanket on top of the bed sheet would be great, as well. the villa is up a hill, so be prepared for the walk as well!

Perfect location with awesome views. Spacious suite. Large deck with couch and table and chairs.Lovely pool. Antonio was very helpful. It’s close to town center with very manageable stairs up to apartments.

There was no drinking water in the suite when we arrived. I’m sure if we had mentioned it right away downstairs at the desk they would have brought some up. The towels in the bathroom were just a bit worn but they were clean. Bring your own coffee ( filters too perhaps)when you come if you want it first thing in the AM to enjoy the morning on your beautiful balcony.

I loved the character of this place. Felt very authentic. Things were outdated but in the best way possible. After my time was up in that room I moved to the King Suite with a private pool overlooking the ocean, it was amazing

The first room I was in did not have a very comfortable bed. And the faucet on the bathroom sink was loose, so sometimes water would splash down under the counter. And the shower could have been cleaner.

Liked the location and rustic charm. Antonio was a great and accommodating host. The size of the suite was impressive. The view was also great.

There were a few tired or broken things that could have been repaired or replaced. The noise from the street and adjacent properties was overbearing at times, no fault of Vista Villas. The chairs and couch could use some cushions.

Amenities like AC and fans not maintained with remote control issues and wobbles squeaks when running. Curtain rods cut short that immediately fell down when closing opening. Wifi intermittent depending on location in facility.

We selected a suite with a sea view and loved having a very comfortable private terrace that, sure enough, had a nice view of the ocean. The room was clean and comfortable. We didn't use the kitchenette on our short stay, but it seemed appropriately equipped.

We were told the reception desk would be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., but this was not our experience the day we checked out (no one at reception at 11:30 and told no one would be there until 3).

Great balcony and the bigger pool next door was lovely ( make sure you ask where it is- the pool at the hotel is tiny). The staff were great!!!

If you aren’t into walking a bit do not stay here as it is about 10 minutes to the beach ( and there is a hill). There is no staff around at night so make sure you have enough toilet paper before they leave!!!

Queen Ocean View Suite..great views n spacious throughout including terrace..clean..we received discount to $85+/ night ..wouldn't think it's worth the regularly noted price of $200-300+ though..

...welcome note would be wonderful regarding pool location n hours something about drinking water..owners should know caulking is needed from shower to toilet are for small leak

Super close to town, but quiet at night. I was in a sea view king suite and it was lovely! Huge patio, living room and kitchen with separate bedroom. Great AC and fans. Hot water with good pressure. Also the larger pool outside is stunning!

It’s a bit rustic. I loved it, but don’t come here if you are looking for super fancy. Kitchen stuff is pretty dated, but it was fine for me. No drinking water.
