I loved the large room, the beds were really comfortable, the old style building and internacional garden. And the little pool was sweet, my kids loved it. The breakfast options were good, I liked the rotating options of hot foods (eggs, beans, vegetables). It was also diverse with selection of toast, fruits, pastries, yoghurts, teas. The room was a generous size and I loved that we had a kitchen/lounge and a separate bedroom since we were with my small children it meant I could put them to bed and then hang out in the other room. The staff were all very friendly and responsive. It really was amazing value for the cost, really lovely place, also very convenient walking to restaurants and supermarkets. Very easy amd safe with kids. The photos online really don't do it justice, one big suggestion to the hotel would be to update their photos!

We were at the front of the hotel above the restaurants and from mid week there is loud music. It does finish btw 9pm and 11pm depending on the day so not that bad but it definitely bothered us at times. There are plenty of rooms at the back of the property though that may not get the same level of noise. The kitchenette could have had a couple of other cooking utensils.. But I never asked for extra things - perhaps they were available on request.

First of all, exceptional staff. Very responsive with messages, but also kind and were very proactive in terms of helping track down our delayed luggage. Overall, fantastic value for the cost. Close to restaurants, supermarkets, taxis, the beach, ATMs, activity providers. Large room and lovely little pool for cooling off. Very much enjoyed the breakfasts that had enough diversity from day to day. Excellent coffee. Wonderful touch that filtered water was supplied. It was perfect for our stay.

Sometimes an off smell in the bathroom (keep the shower floor cover on). Lots of mosquitos. A bit rundown so perhaps needs some renovation.

Property is clean and staff was wonderful. Staff spoke with kindness and we’re very helpful with getting taxis or planning excursions. Location was perfect- very short walk to restaurants, bars, and ocean. Nightlife was right out the door- you can have a quiet romantic dinner, or sing along with a crowd and a band. You will here music from the local establishments in your room at night, but it always ended at a reasonable hour.

The pool is tiny. It looks much larger in photos. it was more of a place to dip and cool off, but not to swim or hang out.

Both ladies at the reception were very friendly and polite, made me feel welcomed throughout the check in and check out. They upgraded my room at no cost; the room was big and had a big closet room. It had a TV (didn't use it) and a desk. Breakfast was good for one night only (had both sweet and salty food). They also offer big water in big bottles outside your room if needed, and tea and coffee at the reception. The property is very close to the beach, different supermarkets and restaurants. Good stay overall.

Cleanliness of the room can be improved. Unfortunately in my room there were a lot of mosquitos, not sure where they came from as the room is provided with nets on windows.

Charming, old Mexico feel, steps away from the plaza, restaurants, shopping, and of course, the beach. The pool is small but refreshing, and the breakfast had something for everyone. Refrigerator in the room and easy access to drinking water (on each floor). the bathroom had a washcloth—useful but not found in all hotel rooms.

Spiral stairs to third floor—we left larger luggage in the car trunk and carried backpacks and shopping bags up for our 2-night stay. Lighting, as in most hotels, was inadequate for a couple, so pack your own extra light (headlamp works for us). We didn’t miss a coffee maker in the room, thanks to the breakfast provided, though it’s sometimes nice to have a cup of tea at night. These are minor issues that did not interfere with our enjoyment.

I booked two nights at Hotel el Moro as part of a last-minute switch and it surpassed my expectations. The hotel is perfectly located near the center of Puerto Morelos, but just far enough from the nightlife noises. The rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable and, just below the large balcony of the second-story rooms, there is a sizable pool. There's also a wonderful, large palapa on the roof, perfect for catching a sunset before dinner! The staff and owners of the hotel are incredibly helpful, welcoming, and kind. Don't miss the delicious, generous breakfast served beneath the cool, shady trees each morning. Recommended!

I wish I had stayed longer!

As a solo traveler I felt super safe in this beautiful little cozy abode! Great room and a super great location right in the heart of everything while also not being too loud. The staff was super sweet and helped me to arrange taxis, answer all my questions, and have same day laundry!

The Wi-Fi was very slow all throughout town. The shower pressure wasn’t the greatest but minor details with all the goodness.

This is a little gem in the middle of Puerto Morales. The room was comfortable and clean and nicely appointed. The staff was helpful and friendly. Loved the breakfast in the mornings and the location was convenient to everything. Alicia was a gracious attendant on the property. There is a real Mexican atmosphere there.The refrigerator/ freezer was great. 7The property is in a great location where everything is walkable.

The kitchen could have been a bit more "supplied". Wine glasses and a can opener would be helpful.

Hotel was perfect location. A short walk to the beach, restaurants and shops all around. The pool was refreshing and a nice spot to relax when I needed a break from the beach. The room was comfortable and cute. Employees were so helpful arranging cabs for my Cenote excursion and to return to airport.

The nice staff, accommodations, hotel location, and drinking water was made available to us.

We think the breakfast eggs should not be served with meat added to them. Also, the kind of meat should be labeled. We only eat turkey, chicken & fish, NO red meat. Thanks 😊, also No Smoking in dining area.
