This is a fantastic place to stay in Puerto Morelos! We had an ocean view for the week and it was fabulous! The beach was just steps away. The condo included enough kitchen utensils and appliances. The two showers helped so much with our family. The receptionists were very kind and helpful.

Our couch was very uncomfortable and even slightly broken. And when the receptionists leave for the day, you don't have options for help. Other than those two issues, our stay was perfect! Indeed, when traveling to countries like Mexico, our family does not expect that all things will run like they do in the US. We are happy to be flexible with things like an uncomfortable couch and limited time frames for assistance.

Puerto Morales is a lovely little town with everything we needed - nice restaurants nearby, grocery store and a nice beach. We used Vela's bikes to get around one afternoon. The little plunge pool was nice in the shade. Sandra and Alba were so helpful when we booked our tour through Vela's. They made sure we got to the correct place and fixed a problem with payment too.

We had a nice apartment but the sofa was not comfortable to sit on and a coffee table is needed. The bed was comfortable. We didn't cook anything but took advantage of the full size refrigerator, blender and coffee maker.

A lovely modern apartment close to the beach, restaurants and downtown, but quiet. The apartment was well equiped, and the staff were very pleasant.

There was occasional noise in the hallways, but generally brief.

Outstanding location, 10 mins walk to anything you want or need, far enough to avoid the louder night spots. Girls at the front desk were incredibly helpful. "Ocean view" means absolutely wonderful view of the sunrise over the Caribbean every morning. Two direct walking paths to the beach, no shoes required. Kitchenwares are sufficient for simple meals, BYO oil and seasonings. AC units are great, was only using 1 of the 3.

Music from Paradise beach club next door is audible from 10a-7p, but never overwhelming or annoying. The room was a bit shabby and run-down compared to the pics, but clean and much more than acceptable. If you want a 5-star, pay for a 5-star.

The location is excellent.The beach is right out the back gate . We had a partial Ocean View. It's about 5 to 10 minutes to walk to restaurants and the plaza. We checked in late but the security guard helped us with the keys and luggage . It was quiet and the bed was comfortable so I got a good nights sleep. The AC worked fine. The staff helped us arrange transportation both to and from the condo which was great.

Since we checked in after hours we were not able to ask for sheets for the fold out couch and no bottled water was provided. The condo was clean but pretty bare and basic..I'm not sure if some of the condos are nicer than others. There were a few things that needed minor repairs ..like the door to the balcony. There was no hot water the one time I tried to shower .

We booked the ocean view apartment and loved having the view of the ocean. It took a couple of minutes to walk into the sea from the apartment which was situated in the middle of the swimming zone. We saw rays and a variety of other fish while snorkelling in this section of the Beach. Snorkelling tours leave from close to the apartment to the coral reef which you can see from the apartment. The prefect location and just a 10 minute walk to the centre of Puerto Morelos. The staff were very helpful and happy to book tours with a 15% discount offered.

This year I was very happy with everything - comfort, cleanliness, freshness of pillows and sheets, and everything else; the condos seem to recently underwent some renovations. Apparently, not every flat has the third AC in the living room but 2 ACs in bedrooms are absolutely sufficient to keep the temperature very cool - given, that the doors to both bedrooms are kept open. And I must mention a great work of the cleaning crew and, especially, the head of staff and receptionist, Sandra Aime. I think she is the most helpful, courteous and efficient hospitality worker I've ever met. Velas Condos are very lucky to have Sandra.

Unfortunately, year after year the beach becomes worse and worse, and water murkier. Probably, as the result of the increasing sargassum bloom, despite titanic cleaning efforts.

The location was great! The beach is right behind another building. Very spacious and clean. It's nice there was a small kitchen if you want to cook. We did make toast and tea and sat on the balcony. Both receptionist were friendly and helpful with suggestions of restaurants to try. We were happy they had new bikes to use, but we ended up walking everywhere. We would stay again!

We were disappointed to know housecleaning was supposed to come in. We only had one wash clothe for the first 2 days. The hubby went down to ask for one and the girl was surprised housecleaning had not been in. Not that we need our bed made etc., but if the service comes with the cost of the room, it would have been nice. This would not stop us from staying here again!

The property is nicely located just behind a nice stretch of beach, common areas are well maintained and pleasant, including the little pool. The apartments are functional and well kept. View form the ocean front apartments is amazing! In addition, the staff is super welcoming and helpful. There was a problem with AC in the apartment I’ve booked, they upgraded me to an ocean front unit. Definitely I’ll stay here again if I come back to Puerto Morelos!

No complaints!

The condo felt like home away from home: it was cleaned regularly; spacious; comfortable; and included most of what we required! Additionally, Vela's is well situated next to the beach. It is also walking distance from a number of restaurants, shops, pharmacies, laundries, et cetera. The area is very quiet and safe! Finally, the staff is quite helpful and pleasant.

Sadly, it was sargassum (seaweed) season, so the beach next to the condo was not very inviting; the water was quite brown from the sargassum. The water pressure in the shower could have been heavier, and the drain in the shower generally backed up. There weren't any racks to hang damp beach towels and clothing.
