Perfectly situated within a minutes walk into the centre of the medina while enabling you to enjoy the experience of living within the medina itself without being bothered by excessive noise. Beautifully decorated and furnished with a huge comfortable bed, access to the kitchen to store a few things in the fridge, great terrace with fantastic views of the Marinid tombs. Ahmed could not have been a better host and the staff delightful and helpful. I couldn't recommend the breakfast more. If you have any doubts about booking this riad then don't have second thoughts, exceptional price for the service we received. We couldn't have felt more at home. Thank you Ahmed for a wonderful stay 🙏

The riad is situated in the old medina of Fez, it has nice clean rooms, with a traditional moroccan design, very good heating from modern ac converters, a very good breakfast, and a terrace with a great view over the Marinides Tombs...

We didn't recieve the breakfast on our last day because the lady managing the cleaning and breakfast arrived there late... The rooms have no windows, and they are a lot smaller than the pictures on booking. The whole riad is smaller than the photos...

It s a nice stay in old town. Owner was very helpful, breakfast good choice. Tell right on time, what you like/not like, so this prevent leftovers, give you a better start in the day.

Balcony means a window to the inner space. Not to outside. We came on wrong time, and due of cold weather a stay at the "libby" made froozen fingers.. if you coming at cold days. ask for the heating by A/C in the room. The shower can be a bit difficult, if you overweight, a bit tighten.

Nicely decorated rooms - given that the building is 500 years old

- parking: parking is not 2€ per night, as it is written, but 3€ for parking + 2€ for some guy to "guard" your car (although when we got to the car in the morning there was no one there) and another 2€ if you want them to take your suitcases and show them to you where is the accommodation located - because it is like a maze of alleys - breakfast: starts only at 9 am - stairs: they are extremely narrow and dangerous (especially the ones for the terrace). - toilet: located away from the room. It is quite dangerous to walk up the stairs at night. The toilet is extremely small, it's hard to brush your teeth... - there is no wardrobe or storage space in the room.

The location was great, 10 mn walk from Bab Jeloud. Ahmed et Rachida were good hosts, helpful. The breakfast was good, nice breads, jam, egg, yogurt, mint tea, coffee. I would have happily exchanged the orange juice from the bottle for a fresh one. Little terrasse. It is a tiny place, the photos make it seem bigger on the site, so we were surprised on arrival, but we have access to the tiny kitchen, and Ahmed was nice enough to let us leave our luggage until departure time in the afternoon.

In beginning of february, it was cold in the day and night in the dar, but maybe that has to be expected. One mattress was not so comfortable.

Dar Bhija is a cosy little home away from home, strategically placed inside the medina, within very easy walking distance of everything yet at the same time close enough to the walls to make it easy to access motorized traffic outside the medina. Owner Ahmad and his assistant Adil are fabulous hosts, assisting generously in every possible way. Breakfast is equally generous; and the home-cooked meals available at the nearby family-owned riad are among the best in the entire city. The room is reasonably sized but besides the comfortable bed contains little furniture. The small bathroom (private but located just a few steps down, outside the room) has all it needs to have (though besides a small bar of simple soap no complimentary toiletries are provided). The public spaces in the dar (incl. the small courtyard, an air-conditioned sitting area, and the rooftop terrace) are good places to spend some quiet moments away from the hustle and bustle outside. The dar provides airport pick-up and drop-off service for a very reasonable price, and can arrange for a guided tour by an expert official guide. Overall, the dar offers outstanding value and a very welcoming environment for a few days in the maze of the medina.

Friendly owner / host, who is always in for a chat. Very tasty breakfast in the mornings. Rooms are rather spacious and cosy. Clean bathroom and surroundings. Nice rooftop area overviewing part of the old town.

Be aware that 24 hours reception is not really 24 hours operational: However, the owner is very responsive on Whatsapp, whenever you would need something...

The location is very good, in the middle of the medina and close to everything. The building is nice. Room is clean. Breakfast is ok. Ahmed is not present but reachable through Whatapp. He helped arrange the transport to CTM bus station for our group with no problem as well.

Maybe due to the old building, there is bad smell coming out from the drainage in the bathroom. We needed to close to bathroom door to prevent the smell spread to the main room.

Hands down, Ahmed knows what he is doing: amazing interior which holds the spirit of Moroccan history in every detail; he offered 100% support from the moment I landed at the airport till the moment I had to return (and it was at 3:00 in the morning). Location is perfect - 10 min walk to literally every gate. Breakfast is super sweet; rooftop offers a view over the tombs and a chance to catch some sun in private. To me it was a quiet little peaceful heaven in the middle of crazy & wild Medina that felt like home in a second! An intimate traditional home with loads of Ahmed's love put into it.

If you are not a very confident navigator, accept Ahmed's help to come and pick you up at the gates, because there is no signs for the dar. But to be honest, streets are so wild you don't even pay attention to signs until day 3 anyway... Trust Google maps!!! It helps at least with identifying the right orientation of walking..
