The location is super great! You can walk to everything shortly. The Staff was soooo nice and they take care of their guests and always have a solution for everything. Everyone saying something about its to loud and blabla well you booked in the middle of Amsterdam a Hotel and everyone knows that there is alot of ppl and party going on! If you dont like that then pls book a hotel near a cemetery!!! Definitely dont blame the Hotel for that and give them bad recession for that!

there was a receptionist whose name is i dont know (he was at the desk on 2th of november afternoon) but he is from cairo and his father in law was from antalya; he was very kind and genereus. altough i have booked wrong room; he helped me to upgrade 1 night and the other days give me a better room with a good view. me and my wife were so glad and appreciate that thankfully. this was my 6th visit to amsterdam and for sure he was the best receptionist in amsterdam. many thanks.

It's very central. Squillions of restaurants, canals, cafes, bars, trams, gyms, parks and everything close by. The hotel opens onto a busy square bordered by restaurants and pubs. 3 minutes walk to a bunch of gay bars and 10 minutes via tram to the rest.

My room overlooked the square, which was kinda cool but it was very loud late into the night every night. I played a sleep playlist very loud to drown it out, which worked pretty well. Bring a small speaker and/or earplugs if you stay here.

The location is amazing, I was a little worried as I arrived Onan Saturday night and the square can be very busy until the wee hours, but my window overlooked the square and once closed, it was 100% sound proof. I loved being right in the hustle and bustle, all sorts of shops and restaurants near by, about 18 minute walk from Amsterdam Central. Walking home alone late at night never felt uncomfortable, the staff are all fabulous. They do offer a breakfast, but I was always out and about so didn't partake! The temperature was great (a radiator you can turn to your preferred temperature) the bed was comfortable. No complaints from me! ☺️ I would definitely stay again on my next visit!

The bathroom could use some updates, I used the bath tub as the shower didn't have enough pressure for me.

Beds were comfortable, clean, made every day, great location, great staff.

Needs a face lift, very tired and worn around the edges. No tea and coffee facilities provided in the room. Windows didn't close properly and it was loud outside. Luckily I like it cool at night and read reviews prior to staying so I had ear plugs already when I turned up, and I did need them that's for sure. But with them I slept fine every night.

This hotel is very centric, with easy access to the tram station within a few meters. The room had 1 single bed, but I was surprised by the ample size of the bedroom. The staff is super friendly, and were able to accommodate an early check in. Lots of dining options around the area. Breakfast was not included, but you can get it for 10 euros. It was plenty, with cold meats, pancakes, breads, hard boiled eggs, coffee, juices, etc.

As others have commented, it can get noisy at night due to the bars/restaurants in the area so bring earplugs. My room faced the street, and it was really hot - it was even hotter than outside. The room had a fan but of course it wasn't enough to keep it cool. Also, female solo travellers... Keep an eye open around this area, as it's really busy with party people.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are shabby in vintage style. Shower and sink were shared but very clean. I can recommend it for your travels with your eyes closed

It is old building i think thats why the stairs are too vertical. Poor accessibility for people with disabilities or walking difficulties.

Absolutely pleased as I booked a room so I didn't need to travel back and forth to Amsterdam from Zaandam for a late night office party. I originally booked a single, and for a small fee got upgraded to a solo room with no shared bathroom. It was accessible, easy to reach and the bathroom was newly renovated despite the room interior being a bit dated. Bed was a comfortable small double bed good enough for two people, and more than enough for 1 person. They also had an assortment of things like the mini bar and their convenience store. Directly in front of Rembrantplein which was in front of my office. I enjoyed my stay and would stay again next time!

The stairs trim were a bit dangerous as they were quite short.

I honestly can't understand why this place doesn't have better reviews. I absolutely loved it, it is so quaint and nice and cosy. Yes the stairs are narrow and steep but what are you gonna do. The place is super clean and charming and my room was peaceful and quiet, no outside noises to be heard, even with the windows open.

The hairdryer wasn't working. And yes the toilet room is small, maybe about 2 x 2.5 ft, so if you're a particularly tall or large person you may have trouble.

The room was small, but still managed to feel spacious. The bathroom was delightfully (and unexpectedly) roomy with a very good shower.

The steps from the street to the hotel were very steep and may not be suitable for people with mobility issues. I use a crutch and it was a big difficult for me to get up and down the stairs.
